Mysticpuma Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 While I understand ii is RRG who are making (in partnership with ED and The Fighter Collection) most people know the project as "DCS WWII: Europe 1944 I wonder if it would be possible to change the name of this forum to that instead? May just help to garner a little interest? Cheers, MP "
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 only my opinion, but im against the OPs idea as hopefully RRG will soon be a known brand within the flight sim community and besides Europe 1944 will only be one of many more theatres in future...
Merlin-27 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Ideally, DCSWII:E44 needs it's own forum. I'm guessing it will come in time. There is much to discuss with the upcoming developments and it deserves it's own space with sub forums and such. The scope is pretty huge to be tucked away like this. Mysticpuma Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 I'm not complaining that we have a forum, thanks for that, it really is appreciated, it's just that most people ( I was one) are looking for "DCS WWII: Europe 1944," not "RRG Studios", IMHO. If it was listed as "DCS WWII: Europe 1944" where it says RRG, it would be so much easier to find and also "DCS WWII: Europe 1944" is what people will be searching for, not the developer, which hasn't really got a high profile (yet), at-least until they launch their sim? I'm just asking for the RRG to be changed so it's easier for people to find the actual 3rd Party software which is being developed for the DCs world and called "DCS WWII: Europe 1944" It's a bit like why is one of the other third party Sub-Forums named; DCS MiG-21Bis "Fishbed" MiG-21Bis third party DCS module by studioBECZL It would be much more useful to have the sub-forum called; DCS WWII: Europe 1944 DCS WWII: Europe 1944 third party DCS module by RRG Studios Just asking to make it simpler to find. Cheers, MP
Griffin Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I think this forum should imitate the Belsimtek forum structure. The main forum would be reserved for general RRG simulations talk and subforums would be for each aircraft type.
[DBS]TH0R Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I think this forum should imitate the Belsimtek forum structure. The main forum would be reserved for general RRG simulations talk and subforums would be for each aircraft type. My thoughts exactly. Sub forums here are arranged so 3rd party and all the modules they are working on are placed inside their section as Sub-Forum. ED modules have a standalone sections for the example. If and when we see a different project from RRG studios, then we will see a Sub-Forum next to DCS WWII: Europe 1944. USA_Recon Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 This forum - why so obscure I don't understand why this important DCS WWII: Europe 1944 is tucked down under it's current location. It's no wonder people don't know much about it and your not getting funds. This forum should be listed directly under 'English' section of the overall forum ???
sylkhan Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 DCS WWII is at the right location, it's a third party project, not an ED project.

I Agree, I made this comment over at kickstarter when they were taking funds, I'm sure the funding outcome would have been a bit different. I would suggest the RRG team go to the Chris Roberts School of Marketing :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
golfsierra2 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Couldn't agree more. I tried to find some news about this project and found none. It was not even clear to me that RRG is the developer. I would never have looked here without some hints from this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121394 DCS WWII: Europe 1944 definitely needs its own place, highly visible and easy to find. kind regards, Raven....
