DCS 1.2.7 Open Beta - Now Available

The frame rates are kind of low for me, like in my 20s to 30 on medium settings and while moving on the runway the screen kind of skips on multiplayer, It might be lag or something I haven't had lag in so long.

I have a Pentium Dual core, a nvidiaGT630, and 7 gigs of ram, ill try it on my GTX 650 when it gets here.

not a new bug, thats why i write it here, but did anybody else notice that the dogfight instant action mission from the p51 module is again another p51?

there is no dora anymore to fight against, and one has to actually make a mission oneself...

Copy and paste the contents of the keyboard folder in your Saved Games DCS/Config/Input/A-10C (or other modules)/ folder into the same folder in Saved Games DCS.openbeta Config folder.

 

It's not recommended to copy stuff from 1.2.6.

Copying input config files from 1.2.6 can cause some issues.

For example, the new options for the UH1-H will be missing if you copy the config file from 1.2.6.

How so, if enough changes your input files wont match to the next version, be it OP or release.

I think its just a limitation in how MP works currently, one of the big wigs would have to answer if this will change in the future, but my personal opinion would be that is the direction they are going.

I copy & pasted the keyboard keys and TM Warthog from my DCSW folder to the new location and it works fine .

 

I not getting big stutters , but stutters all the same .

 

But so far , I think its works ok for me . Granted Ive only done a little flying .... and the engine smoke looks brilliant !!!

If the module you copied didnt have alot of changes to the controls it should be fine, but like the Huey, it could be a big mess if you do so. Its user beware sort of thing, but ED's official stance is not to copy because of the extensive changes... of course I am a gluten for punishment so I always try copying first anyways ;)

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this so I'm going to say it here before submitting a possible bug....

 

I've just been using the cannon on the A-10C with the PAC on and it does not seem to be working. The aircraft recoils and most of the rounds hit past the target.

 

Could someone else please try this first and report back, so I know it's not my bad aiming at fault!!! If you zoom into the HUD when firing it's real obvious.

Or unpause it, as I've been watching the server over TV and notice a bunch of people joining, taking an aircraft position for a couple minutes then leaving.

 

In the absence of SLMOD, I'd left "pause on load = true."

 

I've since changed it to "false," however if clients are unable to move the process forward with the pause button I can see where that may be a problem.

Cannot install modules in 1.2.7 [No Versions available]

 

Hi all

 

Today I installed 1.2.7 and when I install the modules(A-10C Ka-50 ...),the auto updates dowonloaded something and my PC was powered off due to power lost.

 

I restared my PC and tried to install the modules but failed.I installed A-10C in module manager and the auto update poped up a window showd "No versions available"

 

I had tried uninstalled module by running "DCS_update.exe uninstall A-10C" then reinstalled but also failed,the updater always return "No versions available"

 

How can I resolve this problem without uninstall entire DCS World.

Is there a reason I don't see the new engine smoke? I was flying with my buddies a few days ago and I was the only one on the serer who couldn't see the engine smoke on the F-15's in the mission ...

I tested with various fighter aircraft - no engine smoke on my end.

Ran repair DCS OpenBeta - nothing. Is it bound to some graphic setting I'm not aware of (I have everything on high except Water b/c it kills my fps)? Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason. I own all DCS modules (not FC3).

Do you have HDR off? there is a bug that effects smoke on certain aircraft with HDR off.

Edit²: There is a problem with my fps the longer I play. basically it starts out with something like 30fps on the ground, 40-60 in the air and then gets progressively worse as time goes on. I've flown for about 3 hours now and my fps are down to 11-12 which isn't really playable.

Seems you are missing autoupdate.cfg file after power loss...

Since you don't have any modules install, just reinstall OpenBeta right into the same folder - it will pick up the files which are already there.

 

With modules it would be more complicated.

 

P.S. Seems like autoupdate.cfg is a weak link in case of a power loss. Something to think about...

I hope so. I only use the single player client if I'm patching so this feature is fairly useless for me until its implemented in mulltiplayer. Fingers crossed..

I have a question... I downloaded 1.2.7 beta to play around with and I need to get Helios to work with it. It still works fine in 1.2.6 but how do I get it to work with 1.2.7 beta? My pit is useless in the beta without it lol.

New IP...

 

Eh guys- sorry, quick question on the beta side.

 

I saw that the devs changed the IP of the master server... and that the server went down briefly this morning. I have just noticed my IP in the setup has changed-

 

Is that the new server IP? Is that what I should expect from now on.

 

 

Edit: didn't think I was supposed to report 1.2.7 problems here- but it got moved here so here we go.

 

I had a server crash last night... somewhere in the interim my IP got changed in the config file. I've deleted the folder and started again... still get this weird IP address.

 

Repaired... nothing.

 

Does 176.31.233.120 sound like some familiar generic address I haven't heard of? I can't post the server again until I get this squared so any help would be appreciated.
