  2. Having some issues with mission 6 Problem i'm running into is after making it to the al bab and shooting all targets surrounding the zone it tells you to engage an AA gun, after engaging the AA gun it gives you a congratulatory message and then afterwards there are no new enemies, no new messages via the radio and after flying around for like 30 minutes scanning for targets i ended up just flying back to the base. There is an F10 option to REARM at a FARP but the FARP control measure is not in the briefing or in the preset control measures. Perhaps there is a trigger at the FARP i'm unable to access/find or is it possible the FARP just does not exist at all? Anyhow i ended up just going RTB and drawing is there something i'm missing or is the mission currently broken?
  3. Is it just the Bagel Fixpack that is needed?
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tactical_air_navigation_system Now you know why a $150 solution isn't viable for a military purposes. In same time F-16C implement ILS quite well and is only bc it lands exclusivly on land airfields and just uses what is already available.
  5. Go on, what's the worst that can happen.
  6. Would you like that estimated in weeks?
  7. Hi, I would like to ask you not to start discussions here. Please use other discussion threads for that. I would like to establish a collection/point of contact for Mig-29 videos for the (FF) Mig-29 module.
  8. How far are we from release?
  9. Thanks Stuart. I'll check them out. Do they have a spoken instructor? I'm sill curious to hear whether my memory is playing tricks or if there used to be official Maverick TMs for the Hornet!
  10. Today
  11. This is definitely a C. The main difference among both of them is, that C has 2 cannons on each wing, while B has only one. C would also come in handy, because it has additionally 4 racks for rockets or smaller bombs on both wings.
  12. Hoss, the module never had separate push-to-talk command, so I'm surprised it was picking up your VA in the first place . Should be no changes here. I'm away from my gaming rig so can't check implemented changes now, but reading other threads, I can see it's going to be a challenging experience.
  13. you said key binding, did you also check the axis ?
  14. Hi mate , if you haven't tried them , the below are bloody great , and whilst not quite what you asked for i think broadly covers it , they are a campaign series of 4 "campaigns" and fixes by Bagel.. they got me back into the hornet again Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet - Bagel Fixpack Edition Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 1: Basic Navigation and Air to Ground Operations Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 2: Air to Ground Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 3: Air to Air Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 4: Carrier Operations
  15. In my DCS/Mods/Aircraft folder, I have 2 F-5E related folders, i.e. 'F-5E' and 'F-5E 2024'. Yet, in Saved Games, etc. there is still just the one - F-5E. Is it safe to delete the F-5E folder in Mods/Aircraft? As things stand, I get 2 x missions showing in DCS.
  16. Taking the Risk Estimate Distances from official docs like the JFIRE is certainly the best way to answer your question. 10% PI and 0,1% PI were the two common thresholds in the past. You'll see that later versions use new references with 0.1% PI standing/prone/prone protected. You'll note also that values changed along time, taking into account newer studies and operational experience. In any case, it will give you realistic values for all types of western weapons effects.
  17. Been away form the Hornet for a long time and wanted to get back into it. So, I decided to have a refresher and go back over the Training Missions. Pretty sure there used to be a couple of Maverick TMs which I don't see any more. Were they removed?
  18. Товарищи, подскажите, что-то менялось с графикой в DCS? Что - то как-то все такое чёткое и сглаженное в ВР стало (недельку, полторы) не заходил
  19. I think weather vaning due to wind on the ground is too strong when taxiing. It is almost impossible to turn away from the wind (even with diffential braking and power), then the fuselage will snap around. Either that, or the tail wheel castering is not loose enough. Cheers! 20. Introducing AI_ATC Kandahar AF (OAKN) for the Afghanistan map. I have had the extremely good fortune of collaborating with @graveyard4DCS to recreate the procedures used at Kandahar. I highly recommend visiting the Graveyard Of Empires Patreon page.https://patreon.com/graveyard4DCS?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=creatorshare_fan&utm_content=join_link Its an absolute gold mine of information, not just for the Afghanistan theatre but tactical aviation in general. AI_ATC Kandahar is available early to Patreon supporters. https://patreon.com/Avalanche110?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLink
  21. The engine management has obviously become more complex, and the early access guide does not provide good guidance on this subject. The "Enable Water Injection" switch is working now, but again, no guidance. I'm not flying the Corsair in air combat for now, as I have no clue how to keep the engine from just going on strike, and I'm a bit spoiled from flying the German birds.. However, I have no problem with turning left or right on the deck. I use the axis bindings for left and right wheel brakes, but I also tried with pushbutton commands. No problem here. I just tried again to be sure. If you can't left-turn with the brakes, that means you will do a pirouette like an ice skater when you hit the brakes after touchdown. Is that so? Do you use axis or button bindings for brakes?
  22. Thank you for your reply and I apologise for my slow reply. Anyway i'll have to get on and check to see if the issue is still there this weekend and I'll get back to you.
  23. I'm no noob when it comes to using the Warbirds in DCS. I've had Lock On or LOMAC since 2003, and I was one of the idiots to go into the Go fund me for the initial warbirds. I learned really early (day one) the Corsair was touchy when it came to overheating. I have treated it like I do the Jug, except I can close the cowls on the Jug and and leave the Oil-cooler and Inter-cooler in neutral, and fly like my hair was on fire, if I had any. So I started doing the same thing with the Corsair, except I usually leave the Cowl flaps at 50% and set the Oil Cooler and Inter-cooler radiators to 50% like I do the Jug, and I never overheated. And all of my gauges were in the green when the engine stopped, I paused the game and looked at them when it seized up twice and the one time I thought I had ran out of fuel in the first 5 minutes of the flight with the engine windmilling. I normally fly at 2300 to 2400 RPM, and 35-45"MP. I hardly ever break the MilPwr throttle wire, there was just no need for it, unless I needed to expedite a One Pass, Haul Ass escape maneuver.
  24. Can not reproduce here. check for double inputs and axis issues. thank you
  25. We do like to return to older products and give them a fresh new look when we can, but at the moment our teams are very busy and I have no news to share sorry.
