  2. Nearly certain it's related to wind - too much weathervane effect (and maybe not enough tire friction). It's been discussed a lot in the past 4 pages of this thread... It's simple to test, just make a mission with 0 wind at the surface, taxi around. Then change the wind to 5 knots, notice how it's harder to turn. Then make one with 10 kts or greater and notice it's impossible to do a 180 degree turn, you'll hit your limit around 90 degrees to where the wind is coming from. it's a bug in my opinion, really hoping the devs look at it ASAP.
  3. Player/client helo doesn't need any advanced waypoint/trigger settings. Only the ground troops need "embark to transport," set to desired vehicle type; I find that "any" doesn't work particularly well. Land within the set radius of the troops, in the comms menu you should see F7 "airborne troops." Inside that will be the group name of those troops.
  4. I can imagine. Everyone says "green" but to my eyes it's clearly a dark shade of cyan blue.

    Flame color changes with manifold pressure. The AI tends to run at really weird MP/RPM settings.

  8. The whole Amazon manual thing is just plausible deniability. Those two manuals are not enough to make a module. They are using every source they can, but saying they are using Amazon manuals to not receive un welcome attention from the government and accusations of using sensitive information. ED since being founded has no doubt accumulated a vast wealth of MiG-29 information from all over the place. But with recent developments of course they have to be careful when making a plane certain countries still use in active service or used until recently. They also don’t really read the forums. That’s for community managers and for them to pass on any info. Especially the English forums. And with MiG-29 team busy, community managers aren’t going to get every question answered with unfettered access.
  9. I'd like to request the ability to adjust the NVG 'window' up and down. In options we can 'Night Vision Goggles Gain-Increase' and 'Night Vision Goggles Gain-Decrease' (which one cannot do with the ANVIS-6 and ANVIS-9 systems I've worked with), but we cannot move the tubes up so they don't impede viewing of the panel and/or glancing outside 'unaided' (which is a mechanical adjustment that is key to proper NVG use). One of the very first things I learned about flying with NVGs is to adjust the shelf height to allow clear viewing of the panel and good field of vision under the tubes 'unaided'. There was/is a mod that allows NVG adjustments that's almost a half-decade old (by Tacca). Two problems with it are a). It's a mod that shouldn't be necessary and breaks on updates, and b). it also allowed a full-screen NVG effect (which is a bit of a cheat). I understand helicopter night flying isn't the bread and butter of your sim. All I'd ask is controls to move the NVG 'window' (which looks quite good, I might add) up or down in the field of view.   12. We probably just got tired repeating it. I can't believe you cannot drag and drop it anywhere and that the position is not saved in Saved Games for editing. It should be able to be resized too. And we should be able to edit the colors. The Kneeboard can be dragged around, while it's size and position is not saved too. When they made the Kneeboard be dragable and sizeable. They said the position and size would be saveable at a later that. That's like five years ago.
  13. To me. Whataver zoom level and part of the map that is visible in the ME when I press "Save", is what is default visible to me whenever I open the F10 map when playing the mission.
  14. Looks like new "hotas" type controllers will be on the purchase list, sure the old Thrusmaster Warthog will be fine for a while but if I get into this like I want to, I may be spending some $$$

  16. Thank you for reminding me! Now I remember. I did test offline mode in November/December 2024, and at that time it was working very well. I can't test right now, as my computer died. Hopefully someone else sees this and tests. I don't remember what happened or what the solution was. To successfully tag someone, you need to type in "@" first. So I'll tag @BIGNEWY for you. This could possibly be the reason though, whole no one else has reported issues though.
  17. Until just now I always thought this was a quadviews issue. its not. Even with quadviews off it still crashes. it might run just a bit longer on average but I guess its not a QV issue. I bet its not even a dcs issue any more. Will check some more stuff and let you know what I figure out. I had to extend my trial period so I hope I can figure it out now for reals lol
  18. Hello, ED, I have a request for Halloween 2025. For Halloween, can you have the air crew personnel appear as skeletons and the landing field lights have the eerie green glowing pumpkins? It was done a few years ago and really enjoyed. This year, can the DCS team create something different? Along with the skeleton crew members, perhaps add some spooky ghosts and thirsty vampires waiting in the darkness to surprise unwary virtual pilots. Mike Force Team

  19. Thanks for your help, Le Griffon. I managed to get all of this working. But I'm very disappointed by the awful colors in Quest 3. They're not natural. With the HP G2, the graphics almost looked like a photo, but now they look like a comic strip. Either Quest 3 is like that, or I missed something in the settings.

  22. If we are giving advice: I would say, Anytime anyone are experiencing an anomaly related to an aircraft, try other aircrafts (mods and non mods alike) to see if it's an isolated issue. Then, you disables mods and test if more research is required. Lastly, take the issue to the community to see you are experiencing a known issue or not - which in the case above, it is. You have to take a systematic approach to problem solving. Merely disabling mods isn't systematic as you may come to an incorrect concussion or waste time reinstalling the mods again just to test again.
  23. The C130J has a full navigation database for each map. It has the airport specific procedures, airways, and other nav data for the time period that the map is representing.
  24. Same error here. When AI using the plane all animations work but dont work when I use it. Is there a fix to this?

  26. Could not see this posted in the Wish List section. The addition of historical charts for major military airfields to allow for more precise PRMG/ILS approaches.
  27. As Documented in the post above, the #3 Cat is shooting low. This will affect Any AC, including the ED modules. Heatblur's boat, with a low #3 Cat. How can this be an A-4E-C problem, or not be an easy fix, literally increasing a force value in a file and then recompiling. And you are? @IronMike Bowie
