  2. hello, i am trying to capture any cockpit button press in a .lua script and then make a sound play. can this be done with dcs-bios or something else. Here is what i am really trying to do. i play VR so i like the VR hands but they have no haptic feedback. i am trying to detect a button pressed then send a sound to a bluetooth audio module which then vibrates. this gives me instant feedback that the button really was pressed and immersion is much better. sorry controllers do viberate, but your stuck with weird fingers and hand offsets. i have not used dcs-bios and am trying to research it to see if its a option. thanks
  3. cold war aircraft fit for 80 contention server or ECW
  4. Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
  5. Let's look at the bright side: the more time there is until an upgrade on those maps, the more new tech on terrain they'll end up featuring. Still there is vegetation new techs for a Vietnam map where even NTTR and PG would benefit from.
  6. Do so in what way it will change the map and how different will it be after that change? This is one thing they love to hear and last thing to make us.
  7. I just made a mission that AI took off from Bodo but they get stuck on the runway when they land. They apply afterburners but still can't move
  8. Iraq terrain module is poorly managed and poorly made. I apologize but it's clearly seems to be that way. Urban area are way overly too dense for no good reason, it's even much denser than the real Iraq did... which is not only it doesn't offer any significant of visual quality improvement but it's also hurts the FPS severely. And the very same problem are also present in the Afghanistan terrain module. I’m disappointed not by just the map but also by the artistic approach in general. Honestly, both the Iraq and Afghanistan modules feel like they were rushed out just so they could be put on sale… To me, Early Access is supposed to let people get a proper glimpse of what’s being cooked. A small piece that’s well baked and well managed, one by one, district by district, mountain by mountain, village by village. Instead, what we get is a massive half-baked and half-finished terrain released just to appear finished. I think that’s not what Early Access is supposed to be...

  10. All you have to do is go on the F10 map, select the "Mark Label" circle icon from the top of the screen, click somewhere on the F10 map and it makes the mark
  11. Just like the topic says. Also I am not getting info on datalink tracks consistently on TWS when hovering over with the tdc. I have to go to the SA page. The air to air radar is a big enough mess right now that it is not worth doing any air to air BVR.
  12. Non-official aircraft don' t have access to the official Software Development Kit (SDK) that paid modules have access to. The radio functionality is part of the SDK. Yes, some mods have managed to emulate the official DCS radio functionality, but it's not common.
  13. True, as am I. However I had not disabled the onboard WiFi or Bluetooth as I have never used them. They were my issue and may help someone else.
  14. ... i should have just posted a track and moved on eh ... LMAO You want the mission? I'll upload it. Perhaps you don't care about using real tactics and have known for a decade that units drive right through each other. What is a track going to prove to anyone that you can't do quicker by setting it up yourself. Note that's a statement not a question. "Move on" to just accepting it and accepting more and more early access that goes on for years. Bugs and other issues, plenty of which has been mentioned already. Clearly this thread has ticked a nerve or it wouldn't be this active. So yeah, perhaps it'll gain some footing to get action. Currently proper tactical attacks are nigh pointless. Quite an important thing for a combat simulator. Especially given there's a module where you can control ground units too. Hopefully dynamic campaign does address this successfully. In two weeks. 15. Can you explain, is this something I install ??
  16. I was able to get though a whole flight the other day with no issues. I tried the same thing again now and this time it did crash. Both the screen and DCS. It also informed me of a crash log being generated. Which I attached. I tried to find the line VISUALIZER (Main): [20:16:47.822][Info ] OpenXR: System Eye Gaze Interaction Properties: Name=Pimax Crystal Super VendorId=13476 is not supported! But did not seem to be able to locate it. I did see the cracksmask lua still... not sure what that might be. any ideas from the new log? Thanks dcs.log
  17. Ok thanks for the informative reply. I'll let you know if this crops up again.
  18. I have not tested it yet, I’ll try to make it work this weekend. If you can test it and tell me that would be great, though.
  19. I wonder if it simulates crashes in those racing sims accurately
  20. Please @NineLine, adding this feature will cost you less than nine line of code!! This requested feature it's not for that one specific hardware, it can be used with any other hardware, any other software like SRS... it's for general use, a simple event get fired when the player's fighter jet just get destroyed, it's very basic. Btw, I already spent hours reading documentation, I found some "destroyed" event, but looks like works only for missions, not in multiplayer public servers.
  21. Even better. It’s = contraction of “it is”. its = the possessive of “it” So it’s an aircraft that carries bombs under its wings
  22. That's also what I saw in the track. The right engine never finished the startup, and when you taxi on the thrust of the left engine alone, the thrust asymmetry causes a severe yaw to the right. It also means the jet barely gets airborne on the takeoff roll, where the yaw instability should be the least of your worries. I'd recommend to make sure all caution lights are off prior to takeoff and give your engine instruments a good look-over to check they're all in the green. That is correct, but doesn't mean the autostart sequence is going to work 100% of the time. Anyway, in this particular case it looks like a know issue where the engines don't start up correctly when the outside air temperature is around or below freezing. So the repair didn't cause the issue. The requirement of shutting down the engines for the repair and the consecutive attempt to start them up again caused it to surface, and it wasn't evident before in what I assume was a hot spawn. The fact that the autostart sequence doesn't detect or report errors plays a role as well, compounded by the pilot's failure to monitor the aircraft systems after the automatic startup sequence. ENG START CYCLE is still on and all the cautions you'd expect from the right engine being stuck at low RPM.
  23. I agree. But the the company who build the motion chair is going to bankrupt... they won't do anything. I agree. But the company who build the motion chair is going to bankrupt, they don't answer anyone. And the company who develop SRS said ED is the one who can solve this by adding a simple basic "destroyed" event to the event list.
  24. @Massun92 will a stop animation be modeled in a future release? It would be nice to have the ability to set up ground crew who form an X with their arms when you hit a trigger zone. Or better yet, if they could direct you left and right and tell you to stop based on triggers.
  25. Oh my bad. It would be Eagle Dynamics’ map since Dynamics is plural. Corrected to Wag’s map.
  26. Yesterday
  27. It's great that you are reporting the bug, and even better that you added a track. However, a track using mods will be useless to the devs as they won't have mods installed and therefore won't be able to play it.
