  2. I understand. Now I just have to wait for the ED to implement the amendment. I wonder if I'll live to see it. @Raven (Elysian Angel) Corrected.
  3. On this page an mi8 Pilot from the east german NVA explains all the systems in high detail. Its worth to take a look at it. You can translate IT via Google etc. He always compares systems of the Mi8 and the Mi24. On this page the Greben KM2 system is discussed in detail. http://www.nva-flieger.de/index.php/technik/instrumente/kreisel.html He says that MK is the mode to go and gyro was only a backup Mode in case of MK failure, f.e. in case of nuklear warefare and the persumed loss of the MK.
  4. Is the AH-6 back on the board???
  5. 1) LOAL and LOBL switched so the interface shows one but he says the other 2)store tgt works but LOS search (long aft) safes the weapon instead of recalling tgt 3)sometimes finds tgt and even when close, he says it's too far my track file is too big. is there a track editor i can use to shorten it?
  6. It was in pre order video, but small, first part only: but in reality it is quite a large mushroom:
  7. I don't want to be more specific, but there are some political developments IRL that might make updating Sinai, Persian Gulf, Iran, Kola even Caucasus interesting. I hope we don't need a CW Germany II map somedays.
  8. The AGM-65H is supposed to be a fire-and-forget missile, not a beam-rider right? Then why is it that often times when I launch and then turn away the thing misses the target? I get lock with the TGP, slew to Mav page, make sure the Mav has lock, fire, bank-turn away, the missile missed my a mile. I don't get it. Isn't this thing supposed to home in by itself?
  9. @Wags @BIGNEWY @NineLine Gents, quick question for ED. I pre purchased the C-130 and noticed in early access there was going to be the ability to walk around inside the aircraft and out upon release. I was under the impression ED was waiting on updated tech to accomplish this. Does this mean we could see the same for the CH-47 in a closer upcoming patch, or is this functionality for the ED modules still a ways out?

  10. AIM-54C-MK60 launched by F-14B AI on me as target at 37nm distance. Missile takes 45 degree pitch up and goes for the stars (hitting 167kft ASL at apogee). While launcher had me ahead of him all the time (while dodging first fired Phoenix), looks like missile never guided. Looks like a bug to me. Track and tacview attached (Iraq map, can try to repro clean on Caucasus if needed). AIM-54C.zip.acmi AIM-54C.trk
  11. I mean the F-4E from HB. Maybe you don't have one.
  12. What about AI co-pilot or AI navigator? Who know is it in plans?
  13. You're right, there was indeed talk of the Balkans once by OnReTech, and I also think ORBX might surprise us with something else (+1 for Baltic region). Thanks.

  16. You also might have more success if you set the tanker's speed at which RL aircraft refuel at: each aircraft has their own ideal speed where the controls are responsive but not too responsive, and physical limitations such as refuelling doors getting damaged when deployed/retracted above a certain speed. If I remember correctly, an F-16 prefers to refuel at 310-320KIAS, whereas Navy maintainers ask pilots to not deploy the F-18's probe above 275KIAS to avoid damage.
  17. Completed testing all currently available checklist features including import/export functions. Have not explored building a set of folders and importing them, but have exported the folder format for experimentation. I would update the iconology in your documentation to match your application so folks know what they are looking at and how it applies. Please continue with publication. I would use this on IOS.
  18. I have a Razer Tartarus V2 next to my trackball. It is fully programmable so I use that for most DCS commands that are there to interact with the game - and not for whichever aircraft you're in: that's where the control panels etc come in. We all have our own solutions. If some people don't mind using a keyboard, good for them.
  19. Agreements like that do exist but with extremely specific triggers for when things get handed over. For instance a company I worked for provided a piece of software for day to day operations of a large client. If we went under or unilaterally withdrew from providing our services during however many years the contract ran for then they got access to the source code and their data for the bit of software they were using. If we had a mere contractual dispute they didn't get it. If they just wanted a look at it then they couldn't. And yes, you're right. I've been saying this for ages but even if they get hold of the source/IP for the modules it still requires ED to be able to allocate the time and resources to then work with, build and package it. And if they have to pay for it then that is additional cost on top of putting people onto working on it.
  20. I'm not buying any more maps until they finish the ones I already have. Sinai spent more than a year without a single update since the date it was launched, lacking basic stuff like bullseyes, correct radio frequencies and bridges. Fool me once, fool me twice and all that.
  21. That's probably a fair analogy. Problem is I don't know which devs started their relationship with ED when so I can't give an answer to that, but it would not cover many of the third-party modules we have now, an extremely quick count leads me to a complete guesstimate of seven. I could be totally wrong and it might be the majority released since 2018. We just don't know.
  22. I use VoiceAttack for pressing the spacebar. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  23. You don't need tankers exact altitude, you just need its altitude to find it easier, cause you would need to know which altimeter setting the tanker is using etc, the led lights on the right side are indicating if you are ahead or behind the correct position and those left side led lights are indicating if you are too low or too high. Page 154 in the F-16C manual explains this.
