Hi I’m really enjoying the campaign but getting frustrated with navigation. Is there a way of starting the clock to time navigation legs and that will accelerate and deccelerate with the fast forward option? Also the magnetic headings given by Dai seem wrong. On mission 3 for example he asks for 187 for the Somme Estuary yet the track is about 183M and the wind is from 060? I always end up well right of track. I’m using VR and have not found the way of displaying digital information such as ac compass heading etc. I find the magnetic compass is far too susceptible to turning error to be almost useless in the air. Is there a way in VR to display digital flight info? Any help would be appreciated! c

The F4 AVTR also has mechanical rewinding (its also animated if you look at the cassette in the deck while it is recording). It rewinds quite fast though (just a few seconds for the entire 20 min cassette). The Tape Player (a feature not present in the real aircraft) was put on top of the AVTR and is a bit more magical in that sense. Otherwise you would run into trouble with for example the cassette only supporting 20min and the EOT light not triggering on the last track and so on. So yeah, the "tape player" works a bit more like a CD player, while the underlying AVTR does work like a cassette recorder (with mechanical rewind etc). Fun fact, the AVTR mechanical rewind is fully simulated and computed. If you unwind, but dont wait long enough, and then keep recording again, your footage in your Saved Games folder will overlap.

Don't forget the periscope gyro can be botched, which prevents Petrovich to find targets (because he's not looking where you look at anymore). You can check whether the issue comes from the botched gyro by switching to Petrovich seat and try to find the target using the periscope.

Hi. Try this: Ensure you don't have a "headtracker.dll" in your DCS /bin folder. If you do, delete if, then retry your TrackIR in DCS. Still crashing? Close DCS and the TrackIR app. Go here : C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\ You should find some files and a "Profiles" folder. Make a backup of all these and place your backup in "Documents" or in another safe location. You can now delete these files. Run the TrackIR app WITHOUT admin rights. Customize your TrackIR commands (Pause, Reset, Stop). Run DCS and check whether it keeps crashing. Still crashing? Uninstall then reinstall the TrackIR software. Once the problem is solved, copy-paste the content of your former "Profiles" folder into C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles

This would be subject to a cost-benefit analysis. So, the MiG-19 would probably share the fate of the Yak-52, kept operational, but not updated much. The Mudhen would probably be worth finishing properly, that one is what people are really concerned about. MiG-23, only if the -29 is a massive success. As for the others, no clue.

The Gina will have somewhat high wing-loading, no LE devices and probably won't have heaters - can't remember if they were announced or not. It's only about 75% the size of a Sabre, though, so sneaking up at low altitude against opponents way above your weight will be a thing. As they were IRL. Most limiting will be the fuel, especially when dunking along at low altitude.

The problem affects several terrains. Ugra Media have been working on this matter on Germany but it looks like it needs more work. Some terrains have multiple "decoration" objects, such as walls, barriers... and the Petrovitch AI has to process them to know whether it can see an enemy or not. The more objects, the more Petrovich gets lost. I believe it can also cause performance issues. Without data, devs won't be able to identify problems. When this issue arises, please provide a short track. If you can't provide a short track, at least provide target coordinates along with the Hind heading. I'll reproduce the issue and show it to devs.

I am currently on mission 5, and so far, it’s been a fantastic campaign! I definitely hope to see more content like this set in Afghanistan in the future. I have come across a few occasions where the mission triggers didn’t work, but these occasions are rare. However, one area that could be easily improved is the mission briefings. They are full of typos, missing spaces, and weird English, which sometimes makes them hard to understand. I think proofreading the briefings would greatly improve the overall quality and presentation of the campaign. It’s a shame because I’m sure the Russian version of the campaign is great. Thank you.

AGC is also active when you hold half action while not in track mode. Afaik it then adjusts the gain automatically based on where your cursor is currently pointing at.

Hi. I haven't used this mod, but I have a question – I'm wondering about the multiplaye. If I set up a server with the mod's weather set, will other users also see the new weather setting even if they havent this mod (the mod uses what DCS offers), or will they see a different weather (without the mod).
