  1. Past hour
  2. Just some Sea Eagles, rockets and iron bombs, that’s all it really needs! Looking forward to whenever this comes to fruition.
  3. Thanks, I also saw on the Afghanistan map, I will bring it to the team to see if there is anything that can be done.
  4. Hi, If you have found no profile updated on internet you should follow instruction shown in this original post hoping it still working. l really enjoy it when was working fine with F14A. But since my last post l face issue it running l did not get new try and have more trouble because begin of the year l lost 40' screen so ldk how things go today. Currently l m working on homemade support screens but l did not have time to finish it lately. Hope it will work for you. Good luck
  5. That's why I say that what was supposed to be the best choice in DCS has become useless. The avionics and features are all great with AN/AAQ-33, but the optics aren't what they should be. since it is currently impossible to downgrade AN/AAQ-28, I propose that at least in this respect the image should not be worse, so that it would be a compromise.
  6. DLSS, MSAA, doesn't make a difference. Exported displays are near useless for the MMS.
  7. Hello, I know, wrong forum but I didn't seem to be getting any exposure in the input device forum. Thank you. Just upgraded my warthog to TQS and AVA base for stick. Everything works as should except for one thing. The RDR/CURSOR ENABLE button on the middle of the hat does not "ENABLE" the target in the F-16 like it should. It is mapped correctly, stock DCS mapping and I have verified that the button is actually alive via TM settings. Even the keyboard action of "ENTER" in DCS doesn't work. Therefore I am unable to lock up a radar target for AIM120 use. Any thoughts? Am I missing something stupid like, Turn The Radar ON? I don't ever remember doing that but when in Dogfight mode, I see NO RDR at the top of the HUD. Thank you
  8. ну обзор мышью я еще понимаю. Но как джойстиком курсором управлять - с практической точки зрения , даже не представляю. обзор мышью ЕМНИП - двойной щелчок по ролику мыши. но все таки для обзора лучше купить какой нибудь трекер.
  9. HTCC is an alternative hand tracking implementation for DCS World. It: reduces immersion: hand models won't line up and should be disabled (see instructions) improves practicality: drastically reduces the chances of accidentally triggering switches, which frequently leads to accidentally ejecting, turning off fuel pumps, or pulling fire handles Download here: https://github.com/fredemmott/HTCC/releases/latest Then read: https://htcc.fredemmott.com/getting-started.html Highlights Improved compatibility and reliability, including SteamVR added basic report on OpenXR usability added option to fix basic Ultraleap issues (including the hand tracking module for the OG Pimax Crystal) added option to enable/disable the suspend/hibernate gesture completely rewritten settings app Please note: While SteamVR itself supports hand tracking, most SteamVR headsets and drivers do not HTCC is limited by DCS's 'absolute mouse' support (e.g. like a touchscreen or tablet). HTCC's in-game experience will never substantially improve. Requests for improved hand tracking experience should be sent to the game developers, and should be asking for improved hand tracking - not for improved HTCC support. HTCC is a workaround; everything it does could - and should - be done at least as easily and at least as well in the game itself. I do not provide any support for HTCC on these forums. See https://htcc.fredemmott.com/getting-help.html
  10. As a dark user myself i felt, and kinda still feel, your pain... However, the ghost of Newton or Einstein or somebody genius like that must have touched me because it hit me: Highlight the text and it suddenly becomes white on blue and very well readable. In all seriousness: Not optimal, but a workaround for dark users like us.
  11. Don't forget the display resolution of the actual screen you are viewing it on. 256x256 was the number I heard last for the DCS pod but that might have been for the Spanish LITENING II that the Hornet has which is where the 29x29 final digital zoomed at 9x comes from. There's a thesis paper floating around on the forums here somewhere that explains that the AT does in fact incorporate some techniques to help with the image degradation of the digital zoom, so. Naturally as these techniques improve, the digital zoom becomes more useable. But there is no upper limit to how much digital zoom you could apply to anything really. (I guess at the most extreme you can have it zoom all the way down to one pixel, just because you wanted to.) If you want you can ask Northrop engineers whether they were bumping the digital zoom levels just because they could to get sales and the people writing the paycheck don't know any better other than "number bigger therefore better"
  12. What we need now is the comparison of real life sniper image without compression otherwise that's an endless discussion. ED will not change something because "we think". From my perspective the DCS image compared to the compressed video is better so probably a little bit adjusted for compression but @Nedum states that it should be much better. Probably the last image I posted is this most real we can get image but it is only from 4.9 NM. However it shows that there is not so much difference between TV and IR cameras in real life. In DCS PIP shows bigger difference.
  13. I said it's probably bad LOD model in game. I have the setting on max and it does not help.
  14. the CCD/ TV image quality of litening 2 G4 didnt improve based on public sources. IT was already 1024x1024 on litening 2 AT. with L2 G4 the FLIR resolution was improved to 1024x1024 to match the CCD resolution. so i dont see how allowing additional zoom levels would not keep the images blurry to the point of uselessness unless there is some under the hood similar to xr type processing going on.
  15. You don't really "improve" digital zoom. You can process the zoomed image to get back lost detail, or you can increase the base resolution of whatever you are applying the digital zoom too. The later pods have a higher display resolution which makes higher levels of digital zoom more useful. Modern consumer cameras can have available digital zooms well above even that as the base image they take is so high resolution that even the zoomed in image is still HD. For the pod that we have, the 9x zoom means a final pixel width and height of about 29x29.
  16. if using anything past x4 zoom was useless why did the engineers even bother giving later models of the litening 2 even more digital zoom ( x16 on L2 G4 versus x9 on L2 AT) versus improving digitally enhanced zoom to look less pixelated within the existing 1 -9?
  17. I did some comparison Sniper vs Litening, extreme conditions: - 17 000 ft - 20 miles I really can think of any reason of using the Sniper. I don't know if the Litening is unrealisticly overpowered or the Sniper is reduced alot in its capabilities for some reason. This is a direct comparison with FLIR max zoom and TV vs max XR, so... why bother with Sniper? No reason at the moment... It seems useless.
  18. @NineLine In the attachment there is the same for Kola map. As you can see in the track, that is not only the issue for taxiways and runways bur in general all objects have this weird "flickering" effect. Also in the track I managed to catch the example where XR does not fix all of taxiways , just some of them. First time I noticed it on Persian Gulf so there is high probability that it is for all maps. dcs.log tgp-kola.trk
  19. Don't know why the original thread was locked: ... but I wanted to add the analysis of Mover and Gonky that came out today: Eduardo
  20. These lines are getting really annoying tbh fix it please Polychop
  21. Today
  22. Can I ask how many other 8 year old maps (or similar DLC) related to other programs are still getting updates (beyond what may be needed to keep them backward compatible)? Lots of programs have had updates or new "maps" introduced in that kind of timeline that look and perform better and rarely have they gone back and updated the old one.
  23. hello again , it seems it was a bug : there were strange things in the game : no music when i started the game , no voices in the training missions , so i 've repaired the installation , and now everything works fine. Thank for your help Zabuzard , but my engines were off because i couldn't start it without the ground crew (no power available).... i have installed the OH-6A mod by Tobsen and Eightball today( unistalled before repairing DCS) , maybe there is a conflict with the F4 , i will try to reinstall it tomorow to see if the problem is here !
  24. If there is no problem with clarity, I think what we actually lack is a richer infrared effect.
  25. About the not saved flags and group activations: That would be very cool that an once activated group remains active after loading. However, for those who also struggle with this, there is a little workarround that works for me at the moment. Let's assume, you want to activate a group (lets call it SupportForces) using the F10 Menu. (Set flag, activate group trigger rule). In order to restore this state after loading do the following: - Create an additional single unit group (lets call it twintrigger) far away which is active from beginning - a kind of activation-twin - Add a small trigger zone just beside it - Add a waypoint to move twintrigger into the zone - Add a 'hold' to the initial waypoint - > but with 'condition stop' flag, in order to make the twintrigger move only when flag is set - Add a trigger to set this flag whenever you activate your SupportForces . - Important: Add a trigger, to also enable SupportForces when 'Parts of twintrigger is within the zone Or maybe I oversaw an other, very obvious way to do it. in this case.. never mind
