  2. The "advantages" were to those that ran monitors on low resolution or had old VR headsets that were not quadviews or high res yet. Not sure if noticed, but I'd heard several players and youtube videos give a number 1 tip on how to get better at MP is to "reduce your resolution" so that you can spot the enemy. Isn't that a little bit insane, to go backwards in technology to fix a problem that should be a user choice? By saying "having options made it worse" what you're essentially saying is "the old option was best for me, and I don't care what option is best for others" @MoleUK offered the solution - if you don't like them, just turn them off. No need to ruin other players enjoyment, especially since the majority are not in MP much.
  3. Yikes, this song again...
  4. Make sure you have all the latest drivers, even TARGET has been updated. I have the AVA base with an F/A-18 stick on it, and when I updated the drivers my RSMapper software kept giving me hiccups. Go into Thrustmaster Control panel (Start/Thrustmaster/Thrustmaster Control Panel) if you don't see it, you don't have the drivers installed correctly. Once in there, look for your AVA base and make sure the firmware is up to date... no matter if you might think it is... Thrustmaster is going to ask you right off if everything is installed correctly. If you see your stick and all the buttons and axis' are working in the Control Panel, then it's a DCS problem not seeing your stick. I had to redo all my in game axis when I updated the drivers and Firmware. That's when it saw my stick as a Hornet (R) stick. It used to just be Hornet stick. Do a rescan of devices and then a slow repair of the game. Good luck.. glad to see you're still around Stanger... Hoss aka 361st_BeoWolf
  5. Me Also, I dont know if this is the difference. I got mt Hotas Warthog first day on sale in fact I was one one those the throttle quadrant was bricked and they sent out a new one to me. There might have been a slight upgrade a few years after mine I don't know just guessing. Saturday, I get the new Viper stick and we shall see. My paddle broke on old one so a new one not a bad thing. Even with the A-10 stick out it still sees a Viper stick. Maybe the base defaults Viper not sure.
  6. I won't take sides, but I will ask a few questions. What will RAZBAM do with all these modules already developed? They no longer receive payment for them, and converting them to other simulators will be too expensive and time-consuming. We're talking about a lot of idle money. Wouldn't it be easier for RAZBAM to transfer these sources to another partner and share the profits, or sell them to DCS, so that it can find another partner or continue operating them itself? Wouldn't RAZBAM's contract with the Ecuadorian Air Force be an impediment to adding another partner, such as TBS/DCS or any other partner, so that it can be regularized and stop violating IP rules?
  7. Thank @Special K. If one parked core becomes the unparked state later while DCS has ran a while, it is too late for DCS to put this core into the core pool so DCS won't schedule a task on it. Is it correct? Thanks.
  8. Everything so far had been SFM, GFM has not been released yet. Fuel issues is mostly because AI sucks at managing their fuel. They use AB willy-nilly, fly at full power as opposed to efficient cruise, and don't respect any sort of bingo, so they continue wasting gas until they fall out of the sky.
  9. Looks like my mirage will break and I won't be getting my Harrier or Eagle, or Fulcrum, or Hellcat.
  10. That's not 100% correct. DCS creates core pools and schedules the tasks in these pools. With that, DCS decides what will be on which core groups at least.
  11. Yes, screenshots focused on user mods used to be in a separate thread, but evidently that was given up.
  12. ♪ He liked Razbam, she loved ED, ♫ Could it be any more obvious? ♪ He loved the Mirage, she flew Mi-8, ♫ What more can be said?
  13. Very cool. A nicely ilustrated tour you got there with some very iconic aircraft. And I hope you continue at it (we want moooar!). Many thanks for sharing!

  15. I see. I have the campaign, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for the tip! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  16. [emoji1787] Spot on, my autocorrect is completely evil when I'm not wearing glasses! [emoji1] I guess lawn mover sim would just be another type of farming/gardening sim. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  18. We get the list straight from the DCS Api. So whatever it is, its usually either mission or map related and not anything we can change.
  19. I read that as Lawn Mower Simulator. Hoping it’s a typo, I’ve got tokens here for my sit-down vintage module
  20. I think there is an issue with them not recognising “delayed activation” units that only appear after an event trigger (but I would need to check what exactly is causing them to ignore certain enemy units). The UN pilot campaign for example I think it’s mission 7 or 8 where you need to go defend one of the outposts from “hunters”. At the very end (before picking up the wounded soldier) you need to “convince 2 infantry and their car to leave the area”, and that never worked correctly (at least in the last 8 years or so): so I end up landing right next to them and shoving the business end of an M60 in their face
  21. Haha! I find him "adequate" when I tell him to take control for very short periods. Apart from that I agree. Are the gunners useless again? Got hooked on "I love this" job", and there neither is needed. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  22. Agreed with Saxie here... The three cooling/temp controls in the cockpit are hold forward/hold backward to open/close. More like the coolant controls in the Mustang. Makes more sense to just have a button you hold then just like you'd do in the plane. That said I can see adding them for accessibility reasons maybe... so I'm not exactly against it.
