I've had two issues with this particular mission: 1) I've tried loading, restarting, rebooting multiple times, but every time, the plane loads with a blank DSMS even though weapons area actually loaded on the aircraft. Have even tried reloading the DSMS, but there's never a response from the ground crew that anything is loaded. If I set the Master Arm to "Training," I can see stores loaded in red and blue, but here no instructions during the mission to set the Master Arm to training. 2) When I finally get to the range to begin my attack run on the instructed "east to west" final attack heading, I roll out on heading 270 and receive "abort, abort, abort, you're flying in the wrong direction." If I do it again flying west to east, all goes well.

You really don’t get it, do you? Nobody suggests that Linux is the end-all-be-all solution just yet. But things are improving and some mighty players (Steam) are pushing it. Eventually, hopefully it will become a viable alternative to windows. And that’s a good thing, because windows SUCKS (nowadays).

Better read his response to me further up then. Linux might become the main to go OS for mainstream gaming, in let's say ≈5-10 years. Flightsims? Well, if MSFS becomes available... And pretty much everyone agrees that if peripherals and VR works. I'd say 50%+ will make the switch. Definitely if we get a performance gain. Wish we had a "remind me in five years" feature on this forum!

Launch authorization override (or Manual prep) can only help if you have a missile lock but not in range, or range unknown. In your case, you can here the in-range tone, but missile simply failed to lock, so that won't help at all. Also in your Helm case, you only achieved lock with IRST, so out side of canopy R73 failed to lock. The problem is IR missile on Mig-29 doesn't lock very well right now.

Hi, I watch your vids on the youtube and appreciate your experience. But regarding the mig-29, there are varies reasons why LA won't come by. In the R27ET case, the guy knows that he had lock 18nm away, has the tone which means in-range, and only get LA in 3-4nm, so it's not a laser or range issue, it's simply IR missile not acquiring the target. And again, in dogfight missiles are not good at acquiring too, resulting in really long locking time when in Helm, or CC mode. I had stared at a L39 for 8-10 seconds multiple times witgout a single lock in Mig-29 mission1 CAP. Currently the system is definitely underperforming. I run several tests, using the F-15C 1v1 dogfight mission as testbed. This mission allows player to spawn a bandit 10nm away head-on.(Against Su-30, Mig-25, Mig29 and such) Thoughout my test, IR mode can acquire target pretty far away, generally locking at 8nm or closer, but IR missile cannot acquire at all, be it R27T/ET, R73, R60M. From 10nm to merge, I had only one sucessfully launch against a Mig-23 in burner, out of 20-ish tests. But after merge, all missiles work well as rear aspect. I also tried BST mode and OPT mode, IR never worked. Even at 30,000 feet against a head-on Mig-21 in burner (In Mig-29 mission2 intercept), R27T cannot lock before merge. On youtube you said, the laser may be fizzy so we could see a flashing LA, but the other problem is the laser tells the range while missile cannot acquire.

Hey guys, I’m experiencing an issue with the DCS World VOIP system. I’m using a Logitech Pro X headset. Other players can hear me perfectly fine, so my microphone is working correctly. However, I’m not receiving any VOIP audio through my headset, I can’t hear other players speaking. If I change the DCS audio output device to something else (for example, my TV), the VOIP audio works and I can hear everyone. The issue only occurs when using my Logitech Pro X headset. Headset is plugged in USB on the computer. I’ve compared all my audio settings with colleagues who use the same headset and setup, and everything matches. Despite that, I still have no VOIP audio on my headset. All other sounds from the simulator are working perfectly fine. Thank you. dcs.log

The AWG-71 supposedly blows it out of the water, including a special mode that can combine two Tomcats' radars into one massive radar dish, but it's still classified.
