MigratoryBird started following What AA method are people using?

It seems we still need to wait for an oficial answer.

Which "roll angle"? According to the 29G manual, there's no difference between the two down buttons. That's what they're actually called: "One UP and two DOWN" buttons.

Just a reminder - an auto-level mod for Mossie and other warbirds was posted here a few months ago. Granted, it was most likely not IC-compliant and I don't know if it worked OK in campaigns either, but for single player crowd it was better than nothing.

Apologies for the lack of updates here. The project is still alive, although work has slowed due to the real world unfortunately getting in the way. Modelling work is basically complete, we are looking for someone to join the team to help out with finessing the unwrap and doing the texture work. I’ll dump some more of the images that have been shared on our discord. -
Quite the opposite here. Noticeable better loading times and switching between map and views. (Game performance was already good). I disable all mods before an update though and haven’t enabled them yet.

Mac Pro 5,1 for DSC? (Windows 10 or 11)

It's still DDR3. The GPU that is in there is already 6 years newer than the CPU. Generally the GPU can be a decent bit newer than the CPU, but I have strong doubts that the current CPU can cope with a 1080, let alone something faster. Keep in mind that even a 4060 is over twice as fast as his current GPU. And upgrading the current platform means being limited to PCIe 2.0, so that is also going to limit the performance. -
Please Fix the Replay system, I'm so tired of this...

It's true that DCS content creators are becoming increasingly rare. Or maybe I'm not looking in the right place . I have lots of ideas in mind, and beautiful music to go with them, but just imagining the number of hours of work for a minute of footage made me give up before even trying. It only makes me admire the work of Adrian Carpazo even more, for example, given the quality and immersion brought to his videos like SATAC 22 or Cold War, ELI21 or DCS F4-E - First In, Last Out. I can't imagine the amount of work behind all that .- 12 replies

A simple way to get some weather changes is indeed very much needed, but i'm not a fan of your particular solution. Wouldn't it be more elegant to define sizes of weather patterns instead of timings? For example you define two weather presets with their own cloud, temperature, pressure and wind settings. Then you select the size of each pattern's "tile". DCS would then move those tiles around the map depending on some simplified wind speed calculations. At the tile's borders the weather parameters would be interpolated between the two tiles. Also edges would not be straight lines but more fractal to hide a tiled appearance. So this would NOT be a weather simulation, but a simplified system that allowed 2 (or more) defined weather states at different points at the same time. Moving tiles would also allow auto-generated weather forecasts without doing a lot of calculations. It would just estimated tile position at requested position based on those simplified windspeed calculations. Surely not as good as a true weather simulation, but much easier to implement and imho more immersive and interesting than a timer-based global switch between systems.

Hi, I don't know if it's an issue, butnull here is how my ASI looks like (metric, english, native, imperial setting doesn't matter). Is this correct ? Because it doesn't look like that on Wags' video. Cheers Dan

The altitude on the map shows the density altitude (with the influence of temperature). The altimeter in cockpit shows pressure altitude. So unless you fly at ISA temperature, you will always see a discrepancy between the map altitude and the altimeters in the cockpit. As the default temperature of DCS is +20, ISA +5 degrees centigrade, what you describe is the correct behaviour.

After the latest patch animation of triggers was "fixed". However, firing trigger is always in down position now. Normally all triggers should be in the UP position. When pilot intend to launch weapon, then flip trigger down and press it. When intend to fire the cannon, then flip up firing trigger and flip down "НО" trigger and press it.

I was just checking the indicated Baro and Radar Altitude, with the acutal Altitude on the map and noticed quite the difference. The indicated Baro Altitude (Gauge and HUD) with correct Kohlsmann Altimeter Setting is off by roughly 300ft less then on the map!!!!! The indicated Radar Altitude (HUD) is roughly 30 ft less, then actual height, and die Radar Altitude Analog Gauge is completely wrong. But even if I consider the aicraft thinking us beeing lower then a we actually are, the indicated slant range in the HUD should not be higher then the true slant range but lower. But it still is the other way around. And when the laser comes on, there is zero change in the indicated Slant Range, as if the slant range without the laser was already the same, as with laser ON. Something is really OFF here IMO.

You have a lot of recompilation happening. And errors from your mods. Run a DCS repair and clear your FXO / Meta shaders. If that does not help, remove mods

BFM monster. Essential for late cold war scenarios. Fits good in the iraq map (desert storm). Many operators around the world. Theoretically, it doesnt' require a build from scratch (?). Requested several times here in the forum and discord (so there is interested about it).

Severe performance issues after the latest update
Raven (Elysian Angel) replied to rayon89's topic in VR Bugs
Did you clear the FXO and Metashaders2 folder? And while at it, it’s not a bad idea to clear the DirectX shader folder in Windows too. Those are solid first steps to start diagnosing problems… -

DCS 2.9.20.15384 Hello, I would like to report that after the latest update I am experiencing a severe performance issue. The problem appears even before launching the game: from the moment the launcher is opened on the desktop until the initial screen shows up, it takes an unusually long time. Once inside the game, performance is very poor, with constant stuttering that makes it practically impossible to play normally. Before this update the game was running fine, so this issue seems directly related to the recent changes. Could you please look into this problem? Thank you. DxDiag.txt dcs.log
