  1. Past hour
  2. These are pretty redundant threads, so closing. It's not going anywhere helpful, sorry.
  3. hello. the most important part is the upgrade to w11. after that, any issues should be easily alleviated. if you care to, go into you Saved Games\DCS (names vary), then make a copy of the CONFIG folder. that folder contains various files; including your control mappings. come back and we will help you though gotchas. good luck.
  4. Just watched the Mig-29 navigation vid. The module will be equipped with a working pilot‘s visor. I‘d love to see this in the Apache as well. That would be amazing!

  6. 41:48 New Parachute Physics?
  7. NOTE 1: When is it coming? We are still shooting for this month, but we cannot give an exact date until testing is complete. NOTE 2: In a later video, I'll discuss the ADF Panel. NOTE 3: I am not at liberty to discuss 3rd party products. Please keep comments on topic. NOTE 4: I'm still just learning this aircraft, so my skills (particularly in in-close IFR), need work. I know. In the previous two videos, we introduced you to our MiG-29A and how to start it up, taxi, and takeoff. In this video, we’ll learn navigation in the Fulcrum and how to land it. MiG-29A navigation is quite a bit different than navigating other 4th generation aircraft like the Viper and F/A-18C, but once you get your head around it, it’s rather easy system to use. For this video, we are parked in a hot Fulcrum at Herat airfield in western Afghanistan. I’m going to explain two methods of creating your navigation points: Using basic Mission Editor functions and using the Data Transfer Card, or DTC. When using basic Mission Editor functions, you can place up to six points; the first three are assigned to the three Navigation panel aerodrome buttons and the second three are assigned to the three waypoint buttons. You cannot assign the radio beacon buttons using this method; you’ll need to use the DTC for that. When using the DTC option, you can also assign the three radio beacon navigation buttons on the Navigation panel and a lot more control of aerodrome points and waypoints. Note that the real MiG-29A does not have an actual DTC card but is rather programmed into the aircraft prior to flight. For both methods, we’ll create a navigation plan from Herat to Shindand to the south. As the Fulcrum uses an Inertial Navigation System, INS, that can drift, we’ll also discuss how to tighten the alignment using a visual fix. In addition to creating navigation points, we’ll also touch on Return to Base, Landing, and Missed Approach modes.
  8. And individually folded mirrors, it’s novelty I believe?
  10. I think the solution, unpopular as it may be, is a subscription model. Don't want to pay the subscription? Then you get the game as it stands at the time the subscription model is implemented with no further development work. I'll add that as critical as I may sound, I love DCS and have played since its inception (and earlier with the original SU-27 Flanker games). I have nearly every ED and 3rd party module, and every map (except for South Atlantic). I'm one of DCS's most loyal customers, but I firmly believe the current business model will result in an unmanageable "ecosystem" of software with constantly growing maintenance needs with no ongoing revenue stream to sustain it.
  11. This. Totally this. We all love DCS. We want it to succeed. Hell, I've based a good chunk of my future retirement plans on it! When veteran and amazing module developers like cfrag -- whom I have the ultimate respect for here in the community -- is getting frustrated and jumping ship, it brings great concern to the future of this software. Without cfrag and other VOLUNTEERS like him, DCS would have been a dead, empty void a decade ago. The fact that ED treated them like unpaid interns and never valued their feedback NOR integrated any of their mods (paying them, of course) is disappointing. I also, have invested a good chunk of money in modules and maps. Don't care if the core is free, that should be the MOST WORKING part of the whole sim, otherwise the modules are useless. PS: Notice most of the ones in this thread and others with torches and pitchforks for DCS/ED critical topics are ones with 1-2K++ posts?
  12. Understandable
  13. Более не актуально
  14. I can't remember if there's a name for that. Ponoo .. pizzagate .. fonzi ... It began with a "P"...
  15. The last Mig-29 video, show configurable RSBN/PRMG with Channels and names on mission editor. Other point has the sun visor on helmet.
  16. Today
  17. Sounds like a no brainer for the Hook and other haulers but also as an aircraft walkaround before the flight.
  18. Are you sure? I think what you hear in the plane is programmed by HB so that when the F4 RWR “sees” xy, this audio track is played.
  19. Thanks Rudel_chw, Glad I found this thread, I thought that when the ME lost it's aircaft box I was stuffed. Done all sorts, repair etc, delet map and re-install, then found this page. No idea when a dud Mod started to do this, Was used to dud Mod just stopped you getting the game going. Thanks anyway, even if it's an old fault.
  20. Ok, just finished my third attempt and scored 100
  21. I've said before and I will say again... it is a broken and unsustainable business model. That is at the core of all the DCS "issues". ED gets an upfront payment for an early-access module packaged with the promise of future development efforts bringing the module to completion. Before that module is ever complete, another early access module is launched, and they get another upfront payment, which is necessary and they surely need to be able to continue to pay their staff. With each module launch, the amount of work required to bring the early access modules to completion, maintain the existing modules, and work on the core grows exponentially, all while needing to launch *another* early access module just to have an ongoing revenue stream to sustain the future efforts. It is crazy, and it doesn't work. The amount of maintenance required on existing modules and early access modules for which ED no longer collects revenue will eventually become unsustainable.
  22. I'm looking forward to trying this out now. It looks like the halo mount will allow you to remove the face gasket like with the QP. @RealDCSpilot have you tried this?
  23. When you end the mission, you can save a track file.

    MFD

3 Wege schalter, 2 Wege Schalter, Drehregler.
