Hi there, hope everyone is well Firstly, apologies if this has been already reported. After many hours of testing, I have found that GBU-12 & GBU-16 laser guided bombs from my Hornet miss their targets in the new Cold War map. I tried other maps & there were no issues. I also tried a Laser guided Mav in Cold war map & that was a perfect strike. I have included a few Track files as was testing different variances within the Cold War map & also included a successful strike in Afghanistan map with same Loadout. Hoping ED can investigate further. Thank you, GA out. AFGHANISTAN MAP GBU12 TEST PERFECT STRIKE WITH EXT VIEW.trk COLD WAR MAP GBU12 MISS 1.trk COLD WAR MAP GBU16 TEST MISS TARGET.trk

Yeah, that referred to my bug report I did on this topic in the bug section as no moderator was commenting here. I ran my test scenario again. Take off, 3 bags, fly in one direction for 600nm then come back. Center building and the barracks around with a distance of 250 feet. null In general the INS drift looks like in the mentioned allowable limits. 300 ft plus minus. When coming in from altitude. So the lat / long deviation is good. What I am wondering is if the INS drift is also the same amount in altitude. If I do the approach to the waypoint from a shallow angle it looks like a drift of 600 ft in the exact same session. But I am pretty sure if you would elimiate the INS drift in altitude you would end up again with the allowable drift of 300 ft. Whats happening now is that a drift of 300 feet in lat long + a drift in altitude of 300ft adds up to a perceived drift of 600 ft in total, when coming in low. If I would elimitate the drift in altitude here you would end up with a drift of 300 ft from the center building, is what I illustrate here. So one question remains, is the allowable drift of 300ft equally happening in all axis. Also in altitude?

I guess we need an east extension of Iraq map soon ... May be also a flyable mod able to carry GBU-57 MOPs ...

According to the log from June 14, you have parked cores and are running Windows 10. The specs of your CPU indicate 6 P-Cores and 8 E-cores. I would guess that your freezes relate to work being passed to E-cores by the Windows 10 core scheduler, which is known to do this with hybrid CPUs. There are several ways to "unpark" your cores, but I used a free utility called ParkControl to turn off core parking for the power plan in use. If an upgrade to Windows 11 is possible, this will also help with general issues with core scheduling. Good luck.

Definitely agreed, Wittmundhafen at least should be present. If we're going to do road bases they should be real-life ones. There's fairly extensive research material on them, for both the FRG and the GDR, backed up with historical satellite imagery. Though I really worry about cluttering up the map with aerodromes that we can't filter out. The good thing about roadbases though is that if the roads themselves are appropriately made (with the turnaround areas), mission editors are able to add them as is, using the invisible FARP. This can then be used to make a static template which can be reused.

On my side, all AG ordinance form the Harrier, guided or not are hitting spot on, and no problem using the Tpod. Dont know what user steps are you following but my bombs are falling where i aiming. -
Same for me since latest updare!

I have not spent a lot of time in the Corsair yet and maybe it‘s a problem with my FFB settings but to me it feels like FFB has not been properly implemented yet. When moving the pitch trim, the forces on my stick don‘t change at all. Instead, the aircraft‘s nose moves up or down. That‘s not how trim should behave with force feedback enabled. It looks to me like the force feedback only consists of a centring force (basically immitating a normal spring centred stick). What should happen instead (and what does happen when flying other DCS modules) is that when using the elevator trim wheel, the stick pressure should increase while the aircraft‘s pitch attitude remains the same. Like this, in terms of FFB, the aircraft feels dead. It‘s a big letdown because one thing that makes DCS better than many other simulators is the native FFB.
-
For me setting the curvature to 35% (TM Warthog (no FFB Stick, no Extension) helped to overcome the pitch up attitude when pulling the stick. Feels much better now. Maybe a small hint in the manual would be helpful to adjust the controls from the very beginning.

Northstar98 started following Large-calibre WWII AAA not engaging under certain conditions

Hi everyone, I've noticed that in some testing scenarios, large-calibre WWII AAA will only track targets without ever actually firing - instead at some point they stop tracking and reset (seen in the. Sometimes, guns will start engaging but will only fire a few rounds before ceasing. Adding the Kommandogerät 40 seems to resolve the issue for German Flak guns and the allied director resolves the issue for QF 3.7". However, the Kommandogerät 40 does not resolve the issue with either the 75 mm Type 88 AA gun, nor the 8 cm/40 3rd Year Type gun. However, the director shouldn't be required for guns to actually start firing (especially if they've detected and are tracking the target) - instead directors should make guns more accurate. The same issue also applies to ships (namely the Essex), which I've reported here, but have yet to make extensive tracks (I've seen it sometimes engage higher altitude targets, but my prevailing experience is that 5"-guns don't engage reliably, nor do the directors track targets reliably). The same issue does not occur with the KS-19, which is perfectly capable of engaging targets without its SON-9 director. 8.8cmFlak37_Engage-ish.trk 75mmType88_Engage-ish.trk 80mm3rdYearType_Engage-ish.trk KS-19_Engage.trk 8cm3rdYearType_NoEngage_3kft.trk 8cmFlak18_Engage_3kft_Kdo.trk 8cmFlak18_NoEngage_3kft.trk 75mmType88_NoEngage_3kft.trk KS-19_Engage_3kft.trk KS-19_Engage.trk

Anyone interested in joining to learn the F4U is welcome. The program is in it’s infancy, but we need pilots to go through it to make it better!

Which mission? Do you have some more infos for the AI behaviour? What's erratic? Do you have a video and or a track?
-
It might be, since there is no ability to turn off the take off assistance. However if you use take-off assistance in the other warbirds. You'll see the petals move by themselves. In thr corsair that doesn't happen.

That case has been out for 2 weeks, so no reviews out yet. The predecessor had one decent review, but not more than that, so it seems like a rather niche case. I would personally go for something from an established brand with extremely good reviews by multiple reviewers, like the Fractal Design North (XL). The power supply has a non-standard connector layout, which can make things a bit prettier, but you pay a premium for it, and can be a problem to reuse in a different case. I would personally prefer just a traditional power supply. For the 9800X3D, I'd go with an air cooler, for better durability & fewer downtime, leakage and overheating risks. Of course, you may really prefer the looks of an AIO. The specced cooler has the same issue as the case. It's been released last month, with no proper reviews yet. However, just based on the price alone and how limited the heat is that comes off the CPU, you pay hundreds more for the build with pretty much no benefit other than looks. I'd just go for a 6000CL30 DDR-kit, but since you have a builder, it's their responsibility to make sure the RAM is stable. The TUF line are generally good GPU's. The NVMe has one of the new PCIe 5 controllers, which is very good. I'd just get the 4 TB version, since you can never have enough storage.

Hello, I was hit by wingmen in flight several times during the proposed missions. Perhaps it's not related to the module but to DCS, but their behavior is very strange sometimes; they past in front of me, adopting erratic trajectories. KR

Would it be possible to add some road bases on the map? Fictional or not it would certainly add a lot to the realism aspect and provide more flexibility for players.

Hi felipesm, surely the problem are the commands via command menue (in Iraq-map). That´s clear now! The problem is I´m flying always in offline self made missions, never in multiplayer campains. So occasionally commands to KI are necessary - and that´s the problem. Tried now to solve the problem via direct commands, i.e.: F5-keystroke for "Engage Bandits". But the first in a started mission command via direct keytroke doesn´t work, but all further direct commands work. So i can solve the bug partially. But for tower commands there are no direct commands available - only commands via command menu Anyone with the same issue?

@Devil 505 Thanks for the great video link (and your YT video's). Found this video on the same channel describing the UK Fleet Air Arm CASE 1 pattern equivalent FYI, I flew the Marianas quick start 'carrier take off' mission this morning and my plane trapped every single time. Furthermore, the comm's (changed Carrier to a/c freq. first) and LSO rating system seems to be working too. Are you using the mission(s) that comes with the module or designed one yourself in the ME?

Macheten started following Request for colossal statue Herman the Cherusker and Kaiser Wilhelm
-
Hallo Devs! Since this is a wishlist, I would love to see Hermann the cherusker. For many of The coordinates of the Hermannsdenkmal, which commemorates Hermann the Cherusker, are 51°54′42′′N 08°50′22′′E. It is located in the Teutoburg Forest, near Detmold in North Rhine-Westphalia. The monument stands on the 386 meter high mountain Grotenburg. The Hermannsdenkmal is a colossal statue built in honor of Arminius, the leader of the Cheruscans, and in memory of the Battle of Varus. It is one of the most famous monuments in Germany and a popular excursion destination. The total height of the monument is 53.56 meters. The topping of the cake would be the Kaise Wilhelm monument. It is pretty close to the Hermann statue. From my point of view it would add additional immersion to fight in that area!!! The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial near Porta Westfalica is an 88-meter-high monument on the Wittekindsberg hill. It consists of a large circular terrace with steps and a domed canopy designed like an imperial crown. Beneath the canopy stands a 7-meter-high bronze statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I on a stone pedestal. Coordinates: 52°14′43″N, 8°54′19″E (decimal: 52.2454, 8.9056)

it has not been forgotten there has been plenty of fixes and optimisations happening. I think most of the features missing require some core things to be finished before hand. But that said, the list is getting shorter and I think we will see it out of early access Q3 this year.
