  4. Sorry, but DСS is a realistic simulator, not a flight game with balanced forces. Yes, Soviet RWR systems have always lagged behind American ones. That's reality.
  5. There is an issue with MiG-29 and DTC option in dedicated server environment. The attached .miz is a simple Moose mission spawning an RSBN car at Aleppo with dynamic spawns enabled at that airport only. If the mission is run from the ME -> "Launch Multiplayer server" then the RSBN car is visible in the MiG-29 DTC interface/show menu under RSBN tab. If the same mission is transferred and run from a dedicated server, the RSBN car does not show up in the DTC - RSBN drop down menu, and cannot be programmed to the Beacons presets. RSBN.miz

Товарищи виртуальные и реальные пилоты я мальца полетал на данном самолёте и посмотрел разных видосов на YouTube и так как я поклонник МиГ-21 данный пепелац мне сильно зашёл, но у меня созрел каверзный вопрос. При захвате цели РЛС она как я понимаю не показывается в пространстве на ИЛС. Как в таком случае определить цель в этом самом пространстве, почему так было сделано (это кстати очень интересно) и на МиГ-23/25 и Су-27 было также или нет?

  9. I wouldnt oversell the GCI aspect either tho. Even if there was an assumption that american planes dont get the same 'direct GCI control', they were still built to fly pre-planned and directed missions. Our heavily upgraded 75' F4 isnt very good in terms of SA either, despite one of the best pulse radar setups and RWRs at hand. Neither red nor blue gets the luxury of real world level of direction and guidance, thats why most servers use super powerful AWACS mods.
  10. That's about the same the 29G manual states. Sadly, the "optimum" switch is not working yet, so I can't determine how much those figures change. It seems it's not giving out specific information or a calculation in regards to ground-speed like the FPAS in the Hornet, so it's just a thumb'o'meter.

  13. I have an FFBeast and had the same issue. I was using an F-14 profile modified for the MiG-29. I switched profiles to the MiG-29 profile from "JustFlyIt" (you can find it on the FFBeast website). Now the AFCS BIT test works great and the MiG-29 flies much better. When I get some time I will compare profiles and find out what the differences are.
  14. For future reference: It turned out to be tacview, that for some reason dropped framerates from 60 to 30 FPS in multiplayer, disabling fixed the issue.

  16. Myself and friend had the same issue. Both using Pimax Supers. Turning off Secondary Shadows fixed it as well.
  17. It depends. The F-4E RWR (ALR-46) is in some ways more advanced, one of the first digital RWRs. It wont get blinded by its radar and has a real digital threat library; not enough symbology for everything, but for most ground based stuff. You only get launch warnings for some early to mid cold war threats, like the SA-6/8. With modern SAMs or fighter missiles/radars you get symbols, but not launch warnings. Technically with handoff/close attention you can hear suspicious radar mode changes (eg going search to track/guide), but that is more advanced and gets some needed fixes with the next update. Even for noobs like me, it is very useful when you encounter older radar guided SAMs. Identifies the most important track/search radars of SAMs. With fighters its hard to even differentiate friend/foe, unless you modify the threat library (its LUA). Dont got the module, but Mig-29s SPO-15 seems to be more of an analogue system, and one thats not overly sensitive/complex. But according to ED, its still somewhat purposeful: It can detect CW guidance, and that way give (audio?) launch warnings for some STT/SARH missile launches. They also say its not fully reliable, limited in sensitivity and can have radar conflicts tho. Still more of a 'fighter aircraft' RWR than the F4s in that regard tho. From my F4-RWR experience, Id say let let the smart players figure out how it works, and in what situations it can be helpful the most. A bad RWR is often better than none at all. People talk a lot about GCI, but in DCS and pre-datalink fighters without the most modern RWRs, most of your SA usually comes from AWACS+mods like EWRS anyway.

  19. Попробовал через вирпиловский конфигуратор назначить логику кнопки первого положения гашетки как toggle on release. Теперь логика работы с гашеткой такая: 1. Первое нажатие гашетки до первого положения и отпускание - включаетя пушка. Гашетка не удерживается. 2. Второе нажатие (гашетка проходит через первое положение, но ничего не отключает) до второго положения - происходит стрельба. 3. После опускания гашетки режим пушки сбрасывается.
  20. We need cold war trainers, particularly the T-2 and T-38. The Su25-UTG would be a great addition to REDFOR. It was produced in small numbers. But it would provide for a REDFOR all-weather strike / carrier training capability.

  22. Echo that - standing reccomendation is the use of OVGME or other mod manager. If something gets porked, you can always disable. In any event, I did enable Barthek's Caucasus and all seemed well in a training flight. Also, changes made were to Caucasus were: 'Changes in RSBN and PRMG beacons of Krasnodar-Center, Krymsk, Maykop-Khanskaya and Mozdok airfields: Removed frequencies of RSBN and PRMG beacons. Tweaked channels of RSBN and PRMG beacons for better pilot experience Increase resolution of surface, models and other terrain assets textures. Increased draw distance of trees. Tweaked default camera position (F11) of airfields: Sochi-Adler, Kobuleti, Mozdok, Krasnodar-Pashkovsky. Fixed corrupted buildings and trees at: Cherkessk, Baksan, Pyatigorsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik and Suvorovskaya areas. Tweaked life settings of several objects. Tweaked life and fire settings of trees'. Barring the third last change, Barthek's mod should be unnaffected given that it is essentially a texture (and shading) mod - yet fly over the areas named, i.e., Cherkessk, Baksan, Pyatigorsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik and Suvorovskaya, though.
