  2. UPDATE v2.72 Finally added working aerial refueling, works both for player (could not do it to test it all the way due to a lack of skill) and AI aircraft, added slats animation, which activates when above 8000m and below 0,8M - from documentation I found. Some SFM tweaks on subsonic regimes. Also huge thanks to Brzoza - @StalkerXDPL for many great new liveries and hopefully many more to come in the future.
  3. I was thinking of getting either the H3 or H6 so I added them to the basket to find out about other costs. You have to buy the rig, plus a seat, keyboard mount, HOTAS mounts and I think there were 2 more things I'd need...and the kit only has a 12 month warranty. The H3 came out at around £5k and the H6 a lot more. I'd want a lot more than 12 months warranty fot that amount of dosh. P&P is very expensive too...anywhere from £250 to just under £400 and then you have customs import charges too. I'd rather get a good chair and 2 over excited huskies to move it around.
  4. Armed Blackhawk v6.0 released: Armed Blackhawk v6.0
  5. On the VR note… is there any value in assigning that one p-core to the VR headset process vs. leaving it open ? Challenge might be determining the HMD process, ie I use a Pimax Crystal . Or do the e-cores handle it ok ? for DCS I’m running: discord, Viacom Pro, SRS, Simhaptic, XRNS, Pimax Play
  6. Tried that ... nothing. Nothing under 'access', 'maintenance', 'panel', 'door', 'ammo', 'gun'. But then I came across it in 'Systems' .... Service Hatches Open/Close ... Right Alt + Right Shift + H Problem solved lol.

    A cooler "trim"

Hi Sorry, i use an online translator. I use a yoke Winwing (Hotas Orion 2) and the china hat for elevator, rudder ..etc . trim I find it much too reactive. the slightest action on the button........... too fast. Does there exist a way to decrease the speed ? lua files or over. Sorry if the subject already exists. Best regard Christian
  8. Suggesting I switch to the F10 map or, lol, play War Thunder or whatever is a total troll move. Your real life mapmaker experience is cool, but it doesn’t change anything. If you are not into adding anything of interest to the conversation I would recommend you to go read your maps. This is a bug (or design issue) report, not your trolling retreat area.
  9. I noticed this too, and the virtual view has changed compared to the HUD at the beginning, I lower it by +5 with 0 and also lower the seat to see half of the depressible pipper, since it was too high and you can't see it from the default view. This topic is about 2 months old but I just saw it by chance.
  10. Incredible work from Sedlo and the VO cast! Thank you for releasing it as a free mini-campaign. This is top tier payware quality and if it were up to me would be included with the module.
  11. While I served in the Sunni Triangle, it may help to narrow it down a year or so, given deployment length and so on, because on average a new unit was there for a year or so.
  12. It's not about the length of the route, but the density of the straight sections that overlap. If you can't read the map, you can always use F10. War Thunder and World of Warplain have a map that takes up half the screen, you can always fly there. I'm not downplaying the issue; I've had experience with these maps and the mapmaker, and I know how it looked and worked in real life.
  13. I finally managed to stumble over your issue. Unfortunately, I've been unable to reliably reproduce it. The root cause is a partially initialized ~/.wine WINEPREFIX directory that lacks basic DLLs like .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/kernel32.dll. There's a straightforward fix. Force a reinitialization with wineboot: rm ~/.wine/.update-timestamp wineboot --init Then simply rerun the install script, which should run without the error.
  14. Carrier lighting can be controlled with a trigger in game. Use the "SET CARRIER LIGHTING MODE" action. Options are: OFF, AUTO, NAVIGATION, AC LAUNCH, AC RECOVERY. This is through the mission editor. You could set it to do this at mission start or set up a radio menu trigger for it. I don't know if the radio comms for landing will override it or not. EDIT: you can also control them from the AIRBOSS slot. But you'll need to have airboss enabled in the mission and you'll need to be in the airboss slot (rather than your plane slot) to do it.
  15. I remember when the aim120c was easily dodged by a simple notch, they basically added the track suspension algorythm, when the missile lose lock on a target it will try to maintain the course of the target and relock it, its pretty similar to the aim9m and aim9x irccm characteristics, this would be so good if implemented in ir guided missiles

    Missing Radio

The way I was able to get the radio to work is as follows: In the mission editor assign the airbase tower frequency to the UHF AM: ARC-164 radio in the Channel 1 slot (Unfortunately, this also changes the frequency for your flight). In my case I am using 251.25 for Olenya on the Kola Map. In the cockpit, press CNI on the FMS to see the radio comm frequencies. 251.25 will be listed under the U2 radio. Move the Man/Norm/Guard switch to Norm. Select Channel 2 on the TX Selector switch. Finally, map your controls to Radio/ICS Transmit switch in the Control Options. Then contact ATC
  17. Following @MAXsennarecommendation I also repost my request in the wish list.
  18. They were together : I can't place that information on the first post of the thread because I'm not the thread's author.
  19. Hi, we are not seeing any issue with the data link, if you are please include a short as possible track replay and we will take a look. thank you
  20. Legibility of the AMPCD maps was discussed at length when the F-18 first came out. Generally the info pointed to they were crappy IRL and pilots rarely used them IIRC. It will be buried in the forums somewhere likely. I'm not opposed to custom ones if that is available in the airframe IRL.
  21. Pretty sure it is. That's the whole reason I stay with those heartless bas... I mean, with Nvidia. But I'm sure one the tech wizards here will have the low down.
  22. And I presume you've tried this, but if not delete the FXO and METASHADERS2 folders in your saved games folder.
  23. searching, searching ... finally I found the fix for 2.9.6. It works now. I suggest to keep both links together in the same post. That makes life easier. P.S.: thanks for posting it again.
  24. Is this because DCS is more Nvidia focused? Most benchmarks have the 6600 at 10-20% faster than 1080. I actually notice better performance with higher preload. From what I understand, the game loads the textures within that radius into ram during server/mission load. So it would increase load times but reduce stuttering by having the textures ready. My 64GB ram can easily handle max preload on multiplayer servers. Actually, MSAA completely wrecks my performance. TAA performance is ok but looks awfully blurry. DLAA looks better than both and has better performance (I think optiscaler converts it to FSR 2/3? I’m not really sure how it works for AMD cards)
  25. The error is: "ERROR DX11BACKEND (9064): Shader "/shaders/model/fake_omni_lights.fx" failed to compile. Reason: warning X4717: Effects deprecated for D3DCompiler_47" It seems that the fix you have is too old, try mine instead: VPC fix for 2.9.6 (by Shlee).zip
