There is one thing I still don't quite understand. How does it work when you select both a beacon and a waypoint ? What is then is actually depicted on the hud and HSI?

I don't use any of the default stuff anyway. So, for the most part all the "missing" stuff is not missing anymore. So much work has been done that it's basically that way.

@Rudel_chw Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I know I won't be able to use modules or mods released for a higher version. Like you, I'm prepared for this and it doesn't bother me. I have a similar situation with ETS2. @Hiob As I mentioned above, it's similar in ETS2. You can play earlier versions of the game with your favorite mods without using newer add-ons.

Is there an active request to flip the logic of Hidden on MFD/Planner?

I would highly appreciate if ED would change this as fargo007 suggested. It is always a pain to see thst the TSD database of the AH64D gets completely filled with control measures and often enough you get enemy units in the although it was not the intention of the mission designer. This happens often by mistake. -

Thanks, bro. Now I'm up to date. I watched it today and now with your and AeriaGloria explaination I think I'm good. It would be much easier to learn if I had MiG-29 to try how everything works. Even harder is when my brain is currently set around F-16C.

@NineLine Sorry for the necrotag, but I'd like to see if we can visit this request officially. A TL;DR would be: Because the "Hidden on MFD" box is unchecked by default, every unit & static gets pushed into the databases of aircraft with MFD's, blocking their ability to add more points, and exposing locations of the enemy that shouldn't be exposed. This also includes static templates where that box hasn't been checked for every unit & static (most). Having an option which will allow us to define the default behavior of that box, or to change in bulk would be huge. For example, exposing a "Hidden on MFD" box in the multi select tool would accomplish the same thing.

Hi, I tested CH BuK SAM tonight and it was working. It has 2 types of TELs (launchers) 1 CC vehicle 1 TR 1 SR It attacked my F18, second run up and didn't fire so managed to destroy the TR with HARM without any missiles being fired at me. Third pass I set up a JDAM to destroy SR but was fired on at close range and I was destroyed. So, it is either a bit broken or very smart -

You can have a million of them, but you can't use more than 3 for beacons and more than 3 for airfields (which can also be used for beacons). As AeriaGloria said, you build a pool of points so you can reuse them later on. Aircraft will have loaded no more than 6 points in total, but as Wags also mentioned in the video, you can build a route from the points you added earlier and that route will be displayed on the kneeboard later on. Really, watch the video again but pay attention. I know it's long one but it does contain a lot of info.

I know of beacon points (or at least I think I know), but I am not completely sure about "Points". Just the ones from DTC page in mission editor. Let's start with this question: How much Points (first tab from DTC) can be added in mission editor ? More than 6 ?

Didn't go last year, managed this year. Some 20 000 in attendance. Sadly my camera phone and the sun made it very hard to get good video. But some stuff is ok. You got Havard, Spitfire, sterman, Super Hercules doing short runway stop. Various acrobatics. Danish F16 in its last outing before retirement. 2 F35s.

Thanks, this was the perfect info I needed. Just recently decided to start learning the A-10 after owning it for several years and was having issues with the location of the HUD info including reticles to high or off the screen. This fixed it right up and works well with Tobii.

Not sure I understand but there is more then waypoints and aero dromes. There are also 3 beacon points

Interesting. I have the AB9 and am not getting a tick when engine is not running. Maybe something with your PC processor is getting bogged down and the tick is a side effect in the FFB data stream? I honestly have no clue how that works, just taking a wild guess. I have also reported stall FFB behavior. I think it’s occurring too early, at lower AoA than necessary because I’m able to continue pulling much higher G’s and alpha before the wing actually stalls. Rudel has asked for a track file. For some reason my track file generation is broken and DCS gives me an error when I try to save one. I probably just need to do a repair. Perhaps you can attach one so the devs can get a hold of it?
