to me, sounds like a bug.

This award is just called отличный самолёт, otlichnij samolyot, excellent aircraft, very seldom to see, but i can remember some aircrafts an even some helicopters in the GDR carrying this until the final withdrawal in 1994 (even on 29's). There are some similarities with the blue Q carried on east german planes - Flugzeug der ausgezeichneten Qualität- one plane had three stars within the Q, meaning an repetition of the award for another three years. The awards are gone, sometimes i wish them back if i see all the scrappy, dirty oily planes that i'm working on today. But that's it, socialistic aircraft maintenance and todays maintenance are different things -most of our customers won't pay for two hours additional work cleaning their planes and they don't have the time for it (piston engine stuff like Piper, Cessna ,Beech and so on). If you're interested 16va.be has a good photogallery... https://16va.be/galeries_vvs/mig-29/imgcol/index.html - 31.GvIAP MiG 29 9-12 red 12 had such an badge and the guards badge on the nose, but you will find more- Hope that helps !

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill

It was still happening for me in the last patch. I haven't tested since then, I'll try and grab a track soon. I don't believe it's very widespread at all and would be surprised if it could be replicated given that people reporting it used a pretty wide range of hardware.

hello. you realize that you can copy these missions to your own folder and edit them with the newer AC?
-
Hi, we get busy and dont always see every post. Wags explains in a video here about ECM modes

draconus started following NVG, HMD, Petrovich "crosshair" All Above Center of VR View

I can confirm this using NVGs in F-14. They should be centered, not lifted up.

no answers here in 20 hours, strange, isn't it?

I did 2 tests today, and the result is the following: When flying in 20 ft AGL, and having Clutter & Grass ON, the fps value is ~120. When flying in 20 ft AGL, and having Clutter & Grass OFF, the fps value is ~170. When transitioning from 0 ft to 1200 ft, and having Clutter & Grass ON, the fps value changes more or less constantly from ~120 to ~180 (capped/limited by DCS), but I cannot see that "step function" anymore. I cannot reproduce that magic 900 feet bug, despite low altitudes is still a frame killer. I did two videos, which are currently uploading to YT, so you can see what was going on there. I did my last tests months ago, and with another setup (now RTX 3080 instead of GTX 1080). I am wondering that Nineline didn't find any informaton in the bug tracker which marks that problem as "solved" or "ready for testing" or similar. Did it resolve by its own? Yes, from deficiency of existing models you are right. Now with possible upcoming european maps it would be fantastic to see more european aircraft appear in DCS....

Thanks for pointing it out, but this wasnt really an error, more of a placeholder loadouts while working on other things. Final version will only carry the kh-29's on pylons under the belly, and they also have the required adaptors (same as Kh-58)

You could backup everything that's "suspicious" to you, like folders and stuff you don't really know what they are for on an external drive. Delete everything suspicous and see if you can free up some space. If things start to fall apart you could use the backup from the external drive and put it back to onedrive. The whole user folder structure with saved games and documents and so on is going south the more stuff you install and uninstall. Because not every uninstall gets rid of all the files in the user folder.

Hi From a Spanish Air Force F-4C hard wing, not slatted F-4E driver (we had both ac types in Spanish Air Force and DACT sometimes happened): "F-1 was a better dogfighter due to its combat flaps. Stay below 15.000 ft to have some advantage, stay below 10.000 ft to win" But the experience with an F-4E should be different Regards

DCS Su-22 by VinntoreZ - Mod Developement Thread
Flаnker replied to VinntoreZ's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
@VinntoreZ Excellent work! But you have an error in the suspension points of the X-29 missiles. The X-29/X-58 are hung on the suspension points only under the fuselage. 2 such missiles can only be hung on the Su-17M4 (special curved adapters are used - to increase the distance between the missiles). -
new rotor model being created Yaw very unstable on the Apache
deloy replied to DaveTC's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Also with the new updates, the misaligned rigging of pedals (which is reflective of real aircraft as per info provided then) is also gone. Can someone else also confirm this? Cheers, -
Yeah Su-25A is what I want too

Virtual Desktop needs to connect to your PC via the streamer app. I'm not quite sure of your topology or how you ran DCS without VD connection to your PC. This is how i run mine: I have my AXE5400 on the wall a few feet from me broadcasting only WiFi 6. That router is running as a router, not an access point. It connects via cable to my house network and sees it as the WAN. My Quest 3 then connects to the WiFi 6. That keeps it and the PC on its own network. I have tried ICS with a previous setup and it ran about as well as you described. If you have to run the PC on WiFi, connect your AXE5400 as a router hardwired to your network, then connect your PC and HMD to the WiFi 6. Dont allow any other devices on that network. Forget ICS, it's not good for gaming.

Hi, how can I make the F-16's HUD appear a little more purple and also reflect the HUD projector? Thanks and best regards.

Bozon started following best trim to use
-
Luckily the Mosquito requires only few rudder trim adjustments during flight. Rules of thumb: 1. Slow speed + high boost (e.g., takeff and climb) = rudder trim at the “T” on the dial. 2. High speed + boost > +10 = rudder trim at the bottom corner of the “neutral triangle”. There are other situations, but these are the main 2 where I immediately trim quick & blind, and check the ball later.

Thank you very much, what you are discribing is exactly what i mean. I also fly in VR and the very flat UFC and the flat screw heads are very noticable. And because the F/A-18 is the most versatile plane in DCS I fly it the most. And all the time i m looking around in the cockpit of the F-18 i see how it is lacking compared to the A-10C II.

correct as is The clock in the cockpit is 3 hours early
draconus replied to Silent Film's topic in Bug Reports
The whole point of the simulation is to simulate RL and as you can see ZULU is used IRL. You are free to use the game however you want and if you want to use non-standard time that's your problem and yes, you'll have to change the clock every mission. You can also wish for such option in ME here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/207-dcs-core-wish-list/ Another cool option - use Normandy or Channel map. It won't be a problem there -

Landing after a combat mission is the exception… The Mosquito is a flak magnet - I swear those AAA tracers curve in the air to hit me. The best and most fun bombing method is spot the target outside of AAA range, then drop as fast & low as you dare (under tree height) and shoot the bomb at the target from a close range. I say “shoot” because from such a low altitude the bomb does not develop much vertical speed and is basically tossed forwards like a rocket - I use the bottom of the reticule circle to aim. Needless to say, a delayed fuse is mandatory.
