  2. After just now doing runs, I feel that CCIP bombs is very accurate, but not CCRP or pre designation CCRP
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loGO47fDXRc just gonna...post this here.
  4. up @Flappie this boat was developed by Razbam. Any chance this bug will be resolve one day ?
  5. Today
  6. I hope that will encourage more mission builders to use your mods instead of exotic outdated mods which are hard to find or not supported anymore.
  7. This might work: local xCoord = -287319 -- Replace with your Oil Rigs x-coordinate local yCoord = 616286 -- Replace with your Oil Rigs y-coordinate local groupData = { ["units"] = { [1] = { ["type"] = "EWR AN/FPS-117 Radar", -- The type of unit to spawn ["y"] = yCoord, ["x"] = xCoord, ["name"] = "MyNewlySpawnedRadarUnit", -- A unique name for the unit }, }, ["y"] = yCoord, ["x"] = xCoord, ["name"] = "MyNewlySpawnedRadarGroup", -- A name for the group } -- Spawn the unit group for the USA coalition coalition.addGroup(country.id.USA, Group.Category.GROUND, groupData) Put it at trigger MISSION START -> Do Script However, I think this given script will spawn it at the bottom of the sea, but it's worth a try
  8. Never mind. I find little difference with damper on or off. Whatever it is, it is not part of the instant G issue
  9. I would think developments in AI would make updating/upgrading these kinds of things much more feasible & less demanding in terms of human labor hours. Or is AI only useful for doing really important stuff, like generating an endless amount of absurd images to get shared on the internet by Aunt Marcy. This sort of programming ought to be AI's wheelhouse.
  10. I know it's not a cool fancy toy for an aircraft but this would add some spice to the blue ground forces since they're lacking in capability in DCS. This weapon system has been around for a long time and I'm not sure why it's not in DCS. This would be a great addition to the American or blue light vehicles that have the M2 .50cal. The Mk-19 can be mounted on a tripod for dismounted operations(so can the .50cal) and mounted on vehicles. Some examples in DCS would be the ICV Stryker, HMMWV, MRAP. Bonus: Plenty of public information on this. So getting resources/information is at the finger tips. Simplification for DCS Ammo: 40mm grenade belt fed. Plenty of ammo options. HEDP being the main round and can penetrate 3 inches of armor. "bye bye light red armor" Ranges: Point target: 1,500 meters. Area target: 2,212 meters Can be used as direct fire or indirect for area suppression.(Think of an automatic mortar.) Single round has a blast kill radius of 20ft. So a burst of 5-10 rounds can cover a lot of area. So any troops in the open are going to have a bad time, and... if they try to hide behind cover, most likely that cover is deleted or throw that system into indirect mode and rain down some rounds from above. Are you getting what I'm putting down? TLDR It's pretty awesome and should be in the game for blue ground forces.
  11. Using Chuck’s Guide (how is there not an ED manual?!), step by step. Line up the target, weapons are enabled, CPG has energized our weapons, got a steady tone, other steps per the guide are completed, press the fire button, watch the little protective cover on the cyclic flip up and.…….nothing. This is obviously a me issue, a failure to configure correctly. Any ideas? ETA: no issue with the cannon, rockets, ATA heat sealers, FABS, cluster munitions…etc. This seems to be an issue specific to this particular weapon and me.
  12. Saw the mod here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2993877 Saw these: https://www.amazon.ca/Royal-Shade-Accessories-Adjustable-Mounting/dp/B0D9NB4CM1 Plenty of d rings on an asian budget shopping site or amazon. Here is a ring clamp https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/ring-clamp-32-mm But this is where it gets tricky: I think the ring clamp needs to be thinner because of rubber collar on the joystick. And there needs to be through holes through the faces of the ring in the middle or strong mounting ears on the outside for the springs. Here is a version of the desk mounts. Just need a place for a mounting screw https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4913429 These types of screws https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=machine+screw+eye&i=tools&crid=3II9BNRI1MQTR&sprefix=machine+screw+eye%2Ctools%2C109&ref=nb_sb_noss I posted this idea on reddit, may or may not get approved. And I can not design/3d print at all. Anyone interested in modifying the rings etc for the community?
  13. If you're at altitude with good lume and the air quality is good you can see for miles, even with older PVS-14s.
  14. Thinking the issue may have been patched, I tried the full mission again and got the same bug. I saved the track, and posted it here for Heatblur: Anyone with additional data, please feel free to contribute!
  15. It seems that Nevada is missing some pretty obvious bonuses that it could get. Maybe these are in work, and if so, oops! We're too far south to get Fallon NAS. But, it seems that we glossed right over Edward's AFB (Muroc Airfield) and China Lake. There's likely a couple others here or there, like even Palmdale, which is also pretty significant. Has this been beat to death already? Is there any word on whether there are or ever will be some plans for these significant details? I feel as though somebody knows something about this, and I missed it...
  16. The last mission (#11) of the Red Flag 81-2 campaign uses the GBU-8 HOBOS. The mission is quite complex. When making the attack run, I have been unable to get the GBU-8 to release from the aircraft. It locks onto targets as expected, but does not release. Several other players have had the same issue as described here: I've attempted to reproduce the issue in a smaller scale environment. However, air starts, hot starts and cold starts in other situations do not reproduce it. Even starting Mission 11 of the campaign and immediately launching the bombs after takeoff (with the full startup procedure in the campaign) works normally. When I did those tests, I figured the issue might have been corrected in a recent patch. However, I recently re-attempted the mission in full and got the same issue. Therefore, it may be something with a longer mission or something later in the mission or targets that is causing the bug. Of note, I was eventually able to get the bombs to drop by targeting different object, and after being hit by ground fire. It's possible that something in the object recognition isn't quite working or something of that nature. Normally, the bomb will release with a contrast lock on just about anything (even another aircraft), even if it can't actually hit it. I have a track file, but it is too large to post in the forum (because of the same complexity that likely causes the issue). If there's another way to get that track file to you, please let me know! Thanks!
  17. I’m probably working with an older build. Does the Enterprise have a working ICLS?
  18. Can't do it in the ME because the oil rig is at sea and ME won't allow placement. Is there a way to do this in lua? If so, can some kind soul post a working solution? Thanks!
  19. Hi, I have confirmed this twice. When I send Wingman to engage the escape car, he just dives but does not release gun rounds at the escape car. The mission will not progress after sending my wingman to engage the escape car. He is able to engage other targets like the parked trucked.
  20. I'm confused. Are they no longer going to be creating optoins for Orion 2 owners for a collective attachment?
  21. We'd also get Magic Carpet with the C model. There's also Magic Carpet
  22. Hey BigNewy! Tow little questions: a) Isn't that the exact opposite? To what I can see in the sim right now is that the color scheme is applied to offboard datalink tracks, but not onboard FCR. b) Will it be fixed in a long or short term, for both the code and the manual? Thank you!
  23. In dcs I can see things clearly with nvg up to 10-ish km, I think it's being too clear actually.
  24. Thank you for the answer. I should have mentioned in my edit that I did have better results with a 1500ft airburst and above. Yet it's still extremely difficult to damage light armoured vehicles with it. Usually it take one precise direct hit and seems in inflict no damages to other nearby vehicles and objects. In CCIP on moving targets I can visually see the area of impact being clearly on top of the vehicles but doesn't do much more than a cloud of dust. I'll test a little more and come back with additional results.
  25. The dev responsible for the 15e radar (air to air, air to ground, HRM etc) Oh, and I assume the M2000C stuff.
