Thanks for explaining. And, in my house the Buttkicker absolutely does make noise downstairs. Norwegian wooden house from 2015. Not sure how much problem it would be in a concrete building.

Hey! Did you ever release these Mi8 skins? The texturing looks fantastic!

Hornet losing all fuel immediately after taking damage
bbrz replied to ultrablue2258's topic in Bugs and Problems
Does it really make a difference if you are loosing 9000lbs of fuel in 6sec or in 25sec? Besides that, depending on where the leak is, it's possible that the fuel pumps are increasing the fuel flow a lot, so they can cope with the required demand to the engines. Single Players: What would win you over to a multiplayer server?
rob10 replied to Dangerzone's topic in DCS 2.9
I flew solo in SP for many years. I had a negative view of MP due to all the noise about cheaters and griefers etc AND it's pretty intimidating (even for someone who is pretty computer literate) to just know how to actually start into MP on a software/hardware/connection level. And that's before you have to actually know details about procedures etc. I finally dipped my toes into MP because I was running out of missions/campaigns and started browsing some sites and discords for virtual squadrons. I got extremely lucky and stumbled on a great group that I love flying with and have learned so much from that I never would have learned on my own. It was quite a learning curve up front (even as a reasonably experienced flier) but well worth it in the end. Looking at other groups I can definitely see how I might have sworn off MP again if I had landed in them because it wouldn't have been a good fit for style of play or just the personality things others have mentioned. -

reported Kola Map - ILS Bug with Bodo Airfield
Tengah replied to Turbine 205's topic in General Bugs
Hey Flappie, is there any fix planned for this ILS issue? It has been some time since the error was originally reported, and it remains present on the map. Edit: Looking for an alternative to Bodo due to gubbed ILS, I noticed Andoya's RWY14 ILS is missing... Alta's ILS for RWY's 11 & 29 are gubbed/missing. This is kinda concerning, ED/Orbyx. The map has been available for a while now, and these are likely minor fixes. -
I recently took a few rounds of 23mm and received an R gen fail a few holes along the engine, then 6 seconds later, I had lost almost 9000lbs of fuel. I'm no expert, but that seems excessive. I can understand losing a few hundred or even 2 thousand pounds, but not the entire tank. Hopefully, this can be looked at, as this should not be intended.

Single Players: What would win you over to a multiplayer server?
Nealius replied to Dangerzone's topic in DCS 2.9
The problem with "get good" is that it requires i+1 structure, i.e. you level up through challenges that are calibrated to your current skill level. Most PvP games do not have a leveled system that facilitates this, and there's enough people on the internet who leveled up through survivorship bias that public opinion is skewed towards "just get good" without recognizing the very real cognitive mechanisms that involve "getting good." -
SGT Toffee started following Neutral Aircraft refuse to land at Neutral Airfield.

Hello Drivers and Developers, For some reason, I cannot seem to get a neutral party aircraft to land on a specific airfield that's also designated as a Neutral. Parking is assigned, and the fuel is set to about 50% for MLOW. What am I doing wrong?

I know this is a hell of a necro-post, but do you have a source on the validity of USAF F-4E's carrying AIM-7M or P? Also, the USAF Phantom inner pylons were never wired or set up for Sparrow, so I'm not entirely sure where that last point comes from. They went all out on the tigermeet liveries this year. Pure works of art. Recreating them in DCS is 100s of hours of work unless someone has access to the raw art files. It won't be me but there are some really complex liveries on user files so someone might be crazy enough to take them on.

There was a significant amount of noise about it, and it was a significant change. Iron bombing feels quite good now. Very enjoyable. LGB's can be placed amongst a group of vehicles like a SAM site. Possible to destroy an entire SAM site with one or two well placed bombs.

I requested this a couple years ago and the response was pretty much what draconus said. The lighting is based on the time.

Knock on wood, I think I solved it thanks to chatgpt. The problem was that I sent the encode resolution to 3664, which is pretty high, it needs constant good bitrate, but at the same time I enabled dynamic bitrate and maximized it at 250 - not enough! So now I set the resolution to 2880, disabled dynamic bitrate, and set the bitrate to 300. So far so good!

Is it just me or is the cannon aiming when using radar or IRST a bit off?
Kuky replied to Kuky's topic in Bugs and Problems
It is a bit off... when level (no pulling G's) it overshoots a bit, aims tad ahead of the target... but when in turn (pulling higher G's) it undershoots (see my screenshot, looks like good aim but you can see tracers going way behind the aircraft. I figured out why often I see tracers going to the left of the target, its because the aircraft pulls to the left as you start firing that cannon, so I figured I have to aim to the right side of the aircraft instead of the center. -
investigating [MT] Can't repair - Engine supposedly not shut down
FalcoGer replied to Shot's topic in Bugs and Problems
Issue persists. After engine damage, engine remains at 50% in external view. Cockpit instruments show 0%, rotor is stopped. Engine still makes noise and ground crew report that engine needs to be shut down. Fire button doesn't shut it down, neither does draining all the fuel. Would be nice if this got resolved sometime soon. it's been 3 years. -
Mig-29 quirks, little things and nice details
Sabadin replied to 150GCT_Diego's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
As far as quirks and details, the other day I got a little hamfisted throwing the jet around with the damper off to try to do a mini-cobra and compressor stalled the engines. Was a pleasantly unexpected unpleasant surprise. One engine re-lit with the auto restart, the other wouldn't catch and I had to put it in Cut-off then do a single engine emergency landing. -
I would've recommended the Huey too as a starter, but it seems he already got the Gazelle, so I focused on that.
