  2. Aside of the your proposal it would be interesting to have also P-12, P-18, P-15, P-35/37, P-40 as more mobile variants which were used in combination with different SAMs. Between different SAM sites (e.g. SA-2, SA-3, SA-6, SA-5), some of these EWR radars were interchangeable elements when attached directly to the batteries. Another interesting topic is that better coverage and resilience toward the ECM could be achieved by connecting two different radars (e.g. P-15 and P-18) to the same battery at the same time. In this case the rotation of antenna's were synchronized and picture displayed on the same circular situation display (SNR-125 - SA-3). One such combination was documented to be used by Finland. Furthermore they could have been integrated in IADS as part of larger network, and this way were able to reduce the reaction time of many systems. E.g. SA-3 acquisition of target for SNR-125 could be fed from such system, the elevation/azimuth were slaved, so the operator could lock the target way faster when using normal stand-alone workflow. I assume that benefits only extended to the more advanced SAMs.
  3. My gut feeling is that it's intentional. I suspect this is one of those 'too hard basket' issues that would take a lot of work to resolve for an issue that they don't consider significant enough to warrant the time - and engaging with customers regarding this issue is riskier and exposes more than keeping silent. FWIW - I think the better option (only if this is true and it's never going to be dealt with), is what @P3CFE recommended - the ability to disable contrails completely. I think they're formed automatically depending on altitude, temperature, and some other factors (??) but for those who don't have the time to mess around trying to find the magic combination but find this a significant issue - it would be nice to just disable them completely. Personally I'd prefer to see it fixed, but I get the impression that DCS is a mounumous beast now and there must be so many different wish lists and things to work on that some will sadly never see the light of day, so I'm trying to manage my expectations accordingly. And no contrails is far better than "warping" contrails that don't match the rest of the airspace. So hint to ED: Even if you 'sneak' something in as a setting for the autoexec.cfg file that allows disabling of contrails and have it leaked through one of your acquaintances if you really don't want to engage customers regarding this issue would be an option.

  5. I wonder if the issue making ground maneuvering so difficult is not the differential braking but rather the limited angle that the castoring tail wheel seems to be restricted to. The tail wheel could be preventing the tail swinging when either main undercarriage brake is applied. I have briefly experimented with other warbirds and the angle the Corsair tail wheel will caster to appears less that other warbirds with similar systems.
  6. Hi guys, got an issue in Mission 3 ... After spotting the two SUVs with the 3 soldiers next to it and reporting their position the 3 soldiers head towards the cars... one makes it in but the two others just get stuck next to the other car ... The mission cannot proceed from here. Retried 3 times already and it takes a while to get there so frustrated and seeking help... can just try the same again and again and expect a different result I have followed the waypoints dutifully, I spot from wpt4 1000ft AGL.... Lost here
  7. Prices of the MiG-29 vary significantly in terms of E-Shop price roughly half of the buyers paying in currencies other than the US dollar end up overpaying on Steam.
  8. You can designate the target on the F10 map, set it as steerpoint X, then tell Jester to track steerpoint X. Buildings too.
  9. I fly the D9 basically as the only a/c and since the last fix, i very very very rarely had a random engine seizure. And i fly that thing basically everyday for 1-2 hrs on Project Overlord. Since the last update for the D9 i had a random malfunction only twice. And i posted a track on that. And it didnt simply stop out of nowhere, you could hear the old wind up and death was imminent. However, why your engine quits, can have multiple reasons. The most common issue is simply overheating. If you fly 15 minutes full power in that thing, with aerobatics etc. , low airspeed, you will cook the engine. Even faster with mw50 enabled. From fuel starvation, like you said, to unnoticed damage from enemy fire, or simply accidentally switching off the fuel pumps, fuel selector lever or magnetos. So, you can spout abuse and frustration, its worthless, if you do not provide a track. Its the tactics. Its very specific in the D9. Shes a pure energy fighter. https://www.youtube.com/@oinkpoink Plenty of videos of me successfully flying that thing. If yank and bank is your thing, the D9 wont make you happy. Fighting AI is garbage in total. It can do things real people can not. I wouldnt even bother unless you just go for bombers. Its really of no value.
  10. Lol, that is an interesting observation. Something for the others to check in their tracks as well, I guess
  11. Not a big deal, but to aid organisation and readability for the mission designer, and for the sake of interface consistency could you please add the ordering arrows as is common elsewhere in the ME? Thank you for your understanding and patience. (If I want "mis_start_B" to follow "mis_start_A" (below), which would be my preference, I have to delete the last three goals and recreate them again in the order I want. I hope you can appreciate that some might consider this to be sub-optimal.) P.S. Will a much needed undo function ever see the light of day? (interface design suggestion - keystroke "Ctrl-Z", not "U").
  12. Well thanks for telling me everything i know already. What part of "the tracks work for me" do people not get? https://www.youtube.com/@oinkpoink All of my videos here were recorded off from track replays.... And the only thing in those videos that was off is the Corsair not leaking fuel / vapour. Hits still took place where they happend, explosions where they took place, planes crashed where they crashed, rolls yaws etc... all fine.
  13. If the release doesn’t come before September 30, will you have to offer Steam buyers refunds?
  14. Today
  15. If the sweet spot is pretty small how does that affect eye tracking. If you look off centre does it look a lot less sharp?
  16. Well yes thats why I didn't take this as a bug as there are no issues reported elsewhere. Still I'm wondering whats going on as I drive the Hog for over ten years now and never had issues getting a lock on. So I will keep diving deep into whats going on and will eventually make some tracks. Thanks for your feedback anyways and thanks especially to the Godfather of the Hog Yurgon who is always willing to give advise and a hand!
  17. Would be nice if specter studios team introduces itself.
  18. Thanks for your answer! I gave the units a fire mission from within CA but yes the solution would then be to create a trigger with multiple target coordinates. Question answered and appreciated. Many thanks for your effort creating this wonderful assets by the way and keep on your excellent work CH!! Cheers
  19. Slight problem need help with…Installed the Oasis driver for my old G2. IL-2 runs fine no problems on max settings and 150 res in SteamVR, and runs smooth (thanks Matthieu!). So I tried DCS and it loads ok, but if you try to select multiplayer, quick flight, or mission files, it starts with the intro pic of an airplane and then just gives a little pic that says “Waiting”, and won’t start the action? Tried lower res in SteamVR and in DCS, and still does the Waiting little box and that’s it…??? Help!
  20. I was blown away by the F-14 cockpit at that resolution. Everything is really crisp, the dials all comfortably readable and by using DFR and the transformer model DLSS on performance with a 4090 it runs almost locked at 90 fps (usually if it drops it’s CPU and that’s despite running a 9800X3D and 64gb of RAM). Also @Qcumber if you find things look good at the sweet spot but struggle to keep it there consider getting the globular cluster head strap for the headset. I was struggling to keep it in the sweet spot, now I have the globular cluster setup properly it’s easy to get it there and keep it there.
  21. The loss of lock is not. You can very much lock onto targets through clouds.
  22. Really needed for air refueling, as well. Sometimes sun blinds me or blinds the hud.
  23. As always, when finding a bug, uninstall all mods and try again.
  24. For BVR ?
  25. The rollout is expected this week. The patch notes mention improvements to headset tracking.
  26. 150% SS in SteamVR is roughly 41XX x 42XX per eye. Looks pretty good in every cockpit. @Qcumber If you get a PSVR2, also check night missions. They are a blast with the powerful OLEDs of the PSVR2 (because they are HDR capable too). Night missions were a thing i tried to avoid with a standalone headset and streaming, because the resulting image quality was really bad. And the most important thing, many complaining reviewers got this wrong, get your correct IPD setting dialed in and check if the HMD sits in the right position on your head. Mostly all negative reviews come from this simple mistake.
