  3. IT DOES !!! I have sunk a full blown Linux SMB-FTP-SSH-WWW-SANE-VMware(WinSRV DC+Exchange). with a SINGLE SPACEBAR , it can happen...it's long ago but it was a lesson learned cause it was MY server, MY mishap and extraordinary stupid. rm ./* add a SPACE before / and/or skip the "." then fasten seatbelts. LoL. that's roughly how I managed to delete /. which is ROOT FILESYSTEM for non-Linux users. Yeah, too me 1 second to realize...it kept running from RAM....but the damage was done. LoL. I deleted the WHOLE file system whereas I only wanted to delete a subfolder including it's files....1 space too much, or a missing dot....and disaster strikes ! Linux is really robust regarding missing files.....had a client server that got his drives stolen while running....the only thing you recognized from a client was an empty share, the server ran...until reboot. Anyway.....today's mishap is even greater but nor caused by me, other than I choose the parts: FOUR out of NINE identical PC's I just built have the SSD-Kill bug that goes around, and ALL have Samsung 990Pro-1TB drives !!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe the first once documented as far as I can tell. Wrote a note below Jay's 2 Cents video that I have it on 4 990Pro's , it ALSO Samsung now. So, what do you do, call the lucky customer who hasnt had a crash yet and speak to his VB, "Hey, we might have an issue, MS releases a patch blabla.." Done that 30 min ago. The first incident was 8:15am WhatsApp Picture from BIOS with " WTF is THIS??" from my largest's client's owner's own NEW PC !!!! What a nightmare for both. During the day, 3 other identical machines failed with the same sudden reboot to Bios and no drive visible......cold reboot fixes it, luckily. It's a bad situation, almost all vendors seem to be affected, you cant steer left or right w/o falling into the same pit, only thing would be Sata-SSD's for all nine and a nice clone job IN LINUX as windows tends to be "u-n-s-t-a-b-l-e" these days if you run NVMe. Make your Backups guys....I spent till 3am backing up a network, from A-Z, all machines, complete machine..... I felt a lot better today with 4 failing PC's knowing that I installed Acronis last night and put them all thru a full backup to Linux with SFTP. There was a way back if the drives go south completely, as has happened with WD drives. Deinstalling the patches 9x tonight on all those PC's...hope that fixes it for now.....Jay says it wont fix it !
  4. Magic's Modified Mustang Makeup [M4] is downloaded placed in OVgme and is accepted but when I go to the mission builder I don't see any liveries of his? Please advise. Thank you!
  5. Hi, thank you, but those are the system settings with Lens Effects enabled. I've asked for the VR settings. You have to disable the Bloom effect, like in my settings, you can see below. null
  6. I wasn't aware that shrike was a beam rider. Looks like this connects with the side lobe discussion above. Thank you.
  7. Moira has nothing to do with it. I experienced this with my OG Crystal too. No moria at all there, and very little on my Super
  8. I have. Someone on the crash section of this forum provided me with some tips. Ill let you know if they help. SO far it seems improved....
  9. По обновлённому грачу так и тишина?
  10. I know you feel this should be a much higher priority, its clear it is an important issue for you and I am sure others, and I would like to see it resolved also. But the fact is only a small percentage of the community use exports compared to the masses, the team have other bugs, tasks and issues with much higher priority ahead of it. I am happy to highlight it to the team again, but making "noise" isn't going to make a fix happen any sooner. So apologies if this seems dismissive, but it is the reality of the issue. thank you bignewy
  11. I would recommend switching to standalone DCS version. There are certain benefits compared to Steam.
  12. @BIGNEWY, ED Staff, @jonsky7, and fellow users, We need to garner more attention to this bug. We are 1 month away from it's 2yr anniversary and little to no action was taken to resolve this problem. If you are passionate about this module then please speak up! We need to upgrade this bug from "Reported" to "Fixed". The TEDAC remains ON after leaving the CPG seat and will remain ON until the client leaves the server or restarts DCS. During 1 multiplayer server session, it doesn't matter if the client changes to a different aircraft, such as F/A-18C, F-16C, CH-47F, etc. After the client picks another Apache pilot slot, the TEDAC will be ON and the image will be frozen from the initial CPG instance. Furthermore, the Autopilot ControlsIndicator overlay is masked by the TEDAC display or blank out screen when in the Pilot seat. That is another problem because modifying the ControlsIndicator.lua file will fail Integrity Check (IC). I have a separate thread about that problem. Speak up and let your voice be heard. The more people complain about this problem should help to resolve this issue. I'd like to play more as the CPG but this bug prevents me from jumping between seats since the frozen screen presents too much of a distraction. I need your help to bring resolution to this problem. If you have time to press the "Like" or "Thanks" button, then please take a moment to comment. It's time to fix this TEDAC bug!
  13. Beim Thrustmaster Viper TQS geht das Abschalten durch die Throttleposition - die Bewegung von Stop auf IDLE wird nicht registriert.
  14. I mean... that not entirely accurate... IVAS – Integrated Visual Augmentation System is real. So HUD isn't out of the question lol
  15. New bios was released couple days back for my mobo. I updated my bios today to the latest version along with Intel ME. Now I have this issue with long loading time. I turned off Hyperthreading in bios and it loaded much quicker. In addition, with HT on exiting from game to desktop takes significantly longer than before. I will live with it for now. Hopefully the fix mentioned will solve it. I plan on reinstalling win11 anyway when MiG29 is released. If the problem still exists, I will consider reverting to the previous bios version. I ignored the golden rule "If it isn't broke don't fix it"
  16. only saw this thread now:) In case it hasnt been mentioned... There is also my VPForce MONSTER Rhino DIY Kitbase wich utilizes the biggest available VPForce 86BLF04 motors. In the end youll have basically a Rhino with 100% compatibiility to the Rhino ecosystem, just with more power and less overheat likeliness. In fact in tests after 10 Minutes constant turning in a F14 there was no power loss to be felt. Certainly not as powerful as the FFBeast but i would say its somewhere inbetween the original Rhino and the Beast. Currently 2 Kitbases are on stock and on sale.
  17. Over the past 10 years, DCS has turned from a game-changing fantastic sim to an abomination of unfixed bugs, broken promises, completely empty and abandonware (NTTR) maps, incomplete modules, 2-3-4 year "early access releases" (F/A-18, I'm looking at you!), and (literally) a 30 year old code base from Flanker 2.0 and Lock-On. the "C" in DCS has been pathetic for about a decade due to AI and weapons issues that ED refuses to fix. I, for one am not spending one more dime on a module or map until ED fixes the BASE software. When I spend HOURS scripting, tweaking and "work-arounding" just trying to get a mission to function properly BEFORE ACTUALLY FLYING, or spend an hour or so flying only to experience a bug at IP and ruins the whole mission. Forget a moderately complex, multi-unit mission. I can't tell you how many FULL days I've wasted trying to get a single DCS mission or scenario to function even halfway decently, only to give up in frustration and go fly M$FS. DCS 3.0*, when??? Dynamic campaign and updated mission editor when? Updated AI when? Legacy core bug fixes, when? Populated airspaces when? And finally, updates that don't break everything previously mentioned in the last sentence. Time to step up to the plate, ED and give your customers what they are paying for. Judging from the decreasing activity and posts on this whole forum, the posters in this thread are not the only ones frustrated and ready to give up.
  18. Today
  19. Hi. Very nice Mod I'm eager to test. But I don't have JF-17 yet and, sorry but... ...should not be a FAQ you check in case of an issue, it's a Requirement that should appear above Liveries, Thanks and Features.
  20. Bei 3:37 könnte deine Frage beantworten!
  21. Wow, I'm surprised that no one else has spoken up about the ControlsIndicator breaking IC.
  22. Just some feedback from de dev's about their view on his bug would be nice. Until then it remains griping in a vacuum.
  23. If you click on one of the links in the first post you'll see some example images of what objects come along with it. It contains much more than just paper targets.
  24. @-Rudel-, your thoughts on adding this detail to the ControlsIndicator overlay? Also note the lack of an indicator for the wheel brakes.
  25. There's the 476th target range mod that has some practise targets. There's also some practise range scripts that tell you how far off you were and how many hits/misses you did.
