Even if an extra 10% discount is enticing, this will be my first time ever refusing a dcs pre-order … I wont purchase until I’m sure that configuration and liveries are not encrypted to prevent user mods, no matter how much I like the aircraft, I was badly burned with the F-5E remaster, so won’t be making the same mistake again.

I'm making Su-22m4 with custom cockpit and external model, based on FC3 (Su-25A) avionics with PFM. Mod will be released soon as a AI 3d model replacement for Su-17m4 and then, in the meantime I'll work further on developing the flyable mod (mainly working on cockpit) External model is 90% done, with most of the animations, and some liveries. Liveries include Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian, Syrian, DDR and some other. Cockpit needs to be animated as well with making all the scripts and logic in lua. Yes, it will have variable sweep wings! It will carry a lot of unguided weaponry such as bombs and rockets, as well as guided munitions such as Kh-29 missiles family, ARM and more. Maybe I will be able to add TV seeker view into the cockpit CRT without switching to Su-25T avionics, but I dont promise anything yet. No ETA, stay tuned, the AI replacement will be public soon.

  6. Hello! I made a new smoke mod because the “Better smoke mod” from Tazz isn’t working anymore. It’s far more simpler then Tazz’s mod, no textures, wakes, craters and so on. Smoke reaches now higher in the air and is wider. I also couldn’t find a way to make the smoke stay longer than 7 minutes, think ED has hardcoded this. In summary this mod makes the smoke: - reach higher in the air - bigger Install: - Place content of "SmokeMod_2_1" folder inside "DCS World" main Folder and override, please backup bevor overriding! - Or use the Folder with OvGME. (recommend) Changelog: V2.0 - increased particles size. - decreased fire size to compensate for particle size. - set smoke plumes to a realistic size. V2.1 - increased Density of particles - adjusted fire size - increased Trail length PS: If you want to get a longer smoke duration and additional effects try stevey666's splash-damage script in conjunction!   7. Hello @plusnine Went to Github to get the latest version of this exceptional Mod and was amazed to find my nickname listed as Community Contributor .. I did some training missions for this Mod five years ago, honestly I didn't expect to still be mentioned after all this time .. thank you so much. I'm currently fully committed to editing a set of missions for the T-45 update project, but as soon as I finish with those I will strive to update my old A-4E missions to make them compatible with this latest version of the Mod, as I regret not having them updated after all the fun times I had flying the A-4E.   12. Like others said, Im not holding my breath on it if we're getting another F-5E Remaster, a pretty plane that is nigh impossible to skin because someone decided to punish the community instead of accepting reality of the situation.

A-4E-C 2.3 brings greater compatibility with features introduced in DCS World 2.9, including fixes to radios, AGM-45 Shrikes, bomb fusing, and more. It is fixed now. Version 2.3 - 14 May 2025 Added AGM-45 Shrike seeker head selection compatibility and sound response. There are some limitations that require pilot attention. After you rearm and before takeoff, a new set of new bindings (LSHIFT+1, 2, 4, 5) allow you to define the desired seeker head response for each station. Dynamic spawn A-4E-C units with AGM-45s in their loadout assume a MK 50 seeker. AN/APR-25 RHWS audio responses for SA-8, SA-10, SA-11, SA-13, and SA-19 search and tracking radars. Like the SA-3, these units give no audible launch indication. AN/ARA-63 MCL (ICLS) compatibility with Veinticinco de Mayo carrier. A-4E-C (Scooter) version number is recorded in DCS.log. Changed AN/ARN-25 Automated Direction Finder (ADF) antenna rotation speed increased. CBU 1/A, 2/A, and 2/BA launchers now use the DCS standard weapons introduced with the F-4E. Instant Action Carrier Start should provide a clearer taxi path to the Stennis catapult. Exterior light animation improvements. External 3D model UV unwrap improvements for canopy, speedbrake, tailhook hinge, wheel well launch hooks, and refueling probe. Kneeboard manual updated with new information, and corrected a few typos. Fixed Enabling TACAN and MCL/ICLS radios no longer cause crashes. Fixed TACAN bearing pointing North when off. MER and TER work with DCS bomb fusing. Non-axis throttle inputs properly disengage the APC. The ECM Panel REC warning light turns on if the AN/APR-25 RHWS is contacted by an SA-3 radar. AWRS STEP SINGLE and STEP SALVO bindings are no longer swapped. Raising flaps complies with Supercarrier crew "awaiting wing fold" requests. AI takeoff behavior on the Supercarrier (thanks Nearblind).

  17. MiG-29A Fulcrum Announcement It is with great excitement that we officially announce DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum. This remarkable, Soviet Union-era fighter will be a full-fidelity module based on a photogrammetry cockpit of the exported variant supplied to the Warsaw Pact countries. The MiG-29A will be by far the most authentic and accurate simulation of this iconic aircraft for the PC. Our MiG-29A, NATO codename Fulcrum, will be the export modification of the “A” version that was supplied to Warsaw Pact countries. The MiG-29A was designed to counter all types of aerial targets with radar- and infrared-guided R-27, R-73, and R-60 air-to-air missiles and its single-barreled 30mm cannon with 150 rounds of ammunition. The MiG-29A also has limited visual ground attack capability with 50 to 500 kg bombs, cluster bombs, and unguided S-5, S-8 and S-24 rockets. The MiG-29A can operate day or night and in all weather conditions. Its radar is capable of look-down / shoot-down in a heavy electronic countermeasure environment. The weapons control system consists of two complexes: the Fire Control Radar (FCR) and the Optical-Electronic Targeting Navigation System (OETNS). The OETNS includes an optical-electronic sighting system (OESS), a navigation system, a weapon control system, a unified display system, and multifunctional control panels. The OEPS includes an optical location station OLS that consists of an Infrared Search and Track System (IRST), a Laser Range Finder (LRF), and a Helmet-Mounted Sight (HMS) designation system. The MiG-29 is equipped with the SPO-15 “Beryoza” Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) defence system that is designed to warn of radar-directed weapon attacks. To protect against infrared-guided weapons, the MiG-29A features flare dispensers. The navigation system consists of on-board navigation equipment, a vertical and heading information complex, and an airborne signal system as part of the Optical-Electronic Targeting Navigation System (OETNS). Actually, that’s not 100% accurate. The autopilot will receive new functionality and modes, and certain issues with closed-loop system stability will be corrected, along with new undercarriage characteristics. But the core FM is probably one of the most accurate we have. IFF Info: On release of the MiG-29A, it will include a basic IFF system, later on after some RnD we will create a more advanced IFF system.   18. That's a good point I hadn't thought of that will definitely affect my purchase. If ED wants to encrypt everything, that's fine, but it would be nice if there was either an update to Model Viewer before that became the norm, so skinners can still do work. It would also be cool if they would embrace something like Substance Painter and create a plugin that would allow us to use that program to load the files and textures and just eliminate the need to load and re-load the model in the model viewer entirely.

  19. I feel it could have been cheaper given how a bunch of stuff was already developed/researched with the FC3 and how relatively simple the plane is avionics wise. I'm planning to buy it, but I do hope the radar and IRST systems are not just copy/pasted from the FC3 with some HUD updates. Lastly, it would be great if the avionics developed for it would pave way towards some other FF FC3 modules in the future(like e.g. Su-25A and Su-27S, eventually).

Also, to not get confused, some screenshots above have different external 3d model - those are before the model was made into M4 variant of the su-22 (2 extra R-60 pylons, countermeasures pods, extended vertical stabiliser). Here is how the external stuff looks now, as well as some liveries that will be included. Right now there are Luftwaffe, Hungarian, Libyan, Peruvian, Czech, Soviet, Syrian, Polish and Ukrainian liveries. Stay tuned and have a nice day!

  34. I got so carried away, I didn't even think of that! Hopefully we don't have a repeat of the F-5 and being unable to create high quality liveries in a reasonable amount of time and actually can view/edit core textures to make fully custom liveries at the highest quality level possible for the community! It looks phenomenal. Very excited about it. Hopefully we can paint it. It's kind of depressing to think about if it does turn out like the F-5. Finally have the first FF Redfor aircraft and it's the classic I've been waiting for since I saw the discovery wings episode decades ago. My fingers are crossed that it won't be. It would be a real shame.

  35. I have limited experience on the A10C, however MADL used on the F35 does basically everything you can do in the F16, plus more. Friendly aircraft will have their own PPLI symbology. Cyan for aircraft in your flight, Green for friendly aircraft outside of your flight. Ownship symbol is the cyan hollow F35 icon. Friendly F35s (likely other aircraft as well) will show a dashed line between them and their next-to-shoot target. Once a missile is launched, a missile symbol will appear and travel towards the target. The missile flight path is shown by another dashed line, and TTI is shown under the missile symbology. F35s can send images and assignments for ground targets from its own A2G sensors (like the FCR) to specific F35s in its flights. Target assignments will appear as inverted cyan triangles in all of their portals (TSD, TFLIR etc). White triangles represent ground tracks, moving ground targets will have a white vector on the top showing its direction of movement. Half filled triangles indicate ground tracks which have been correlated between both on-board and off-board sensors to my understanding. Information from both MADL and Link16 combined with onboard sensors can also affect the Fusion ID and confidence on the expanded data window. F35s over MADL can collaborate with each other by sharing all sorts of information from all their sensors individually (FCR/DAS/EOTS/ESM etc). This allows for some additional ways of acquiring and tracking targets including TDOA and passive target triangulation. There are obviously a lot of other MADL features on the F35 which i haven't covered. or understand yet. Such as this Imagery request system above.   39. UPDATE v2.6 Fixed a bug where Kh-31P would not track the target and explode mid-air. Added new custom Kh-31P missile, which could be used without the ELINT pod. Thanks @BlackFalco for pointing it out to me.

  42. У Нимицев FLOLS изначально не была адаптирована для модуля F-14. У него другая глиссада, и FLOLS настраивается отдельно под каждый тип садящихся самолётов в жизни. Но игра думала, что ты на F/A-18C. Потом это исправили. Может, что-то снова сломалось. Я трек не смотрел ещё. Но если грубых ошибок нет, не понятно, почему LSO ставит "без оценки".

  44. Oh no please buy it! We need to tell them that there is demand for red modules! MiG-29 “A” should still be a worthy fast attack jet especially if there is access to RSBN correction on many maps. Set you waypoints to IP and target, we can carry S-8 or S-24 with it which is very powerful or bombs. And you can do wind/moving target correction by designating the target first then aiming after 2 seconds!!! That should give us some versatility we don’t have in FC3 to make those rocket and cannon runs extra accurate!!!!
