I will shortly release version 1.1.0 of my Ka-52. For the tech-savvy users I've included an easter egg. In the entry.lua you can choose between the Ka-52 with non-trainable cannon and workaround landing gear and a version that will replace your old Ka-50 (not BS3) but will have all the bells and whistles like the realistic landing gear action and the trainable cannon. Consider it an interim option until we get good news from ED in regards to helicopter configuration limitations. -

Nope, I didn't have them. Thanks for the suggestion. Great idea. Sure, you're welcome to add my units to the tool. In regards to the configuration info, I will have to look into that. That's great, thank you! These will also be included in the next release. We'll see. Unfortunately not since I make my textures in SP. And also, since I'm a one-man-operation I don't really have the time to provide these kind of features. Nice! As I mentioned a couple of days ago, the M1A2 works fine for me, together with my other assets. Send me your DCS log and I will take a look on what's going on. It works for me. I think you should update to the latest Openbeta, to rule that out. I fixed the US and Swedish infantry asset packs a couple of days ago. ED had changed the embark feature in 2.9. With my updated infantry packs it definitely work for me, tried embarking both helis and vehicles. I'm always on the latest OB version though. -

I don't have the same issue. And if I were to take a guess: the MiG-29MU2 1.4.0 is updated to reflect DCS 2.9 changes, in this case I had to migrate the JDAM-ER to a different weapon scheme due to changes ED made. And my guess is that you need 2.9 to support this. I do all my development and testing on the latest DCS OB version. And it is impossible to guarantee any backwards compatibility due to the nature of things in DCS. -

By the way, I received some good news from @BIGNEWY in regards to DCS helicopter mod capabilities. He said ED is working on a change that should help with these helicopter mod issues. I'm really looking forward to see what it is. I will definitely make more AI aircraft. Maybe, we'll see. -

Both versions are available. A lot of the earlier Katran had the GOES-451. I have the OES-52 on the list for a later release. -

You wouldn't happen to have the RBS-57 asset installed separately. I included it in the Swedish Infantry pack some time ago, so you don't need the old separate version any more. -

Thank you! As @Oban points out, there are hard coded restrictions when it comes to DCS helicopters. Don't really know why, but for example, we can't have trainable cannons, retractable gear. I've asked @BIGNEWY to check with the team if it's possible to have these limitations removed for AI. Much appreciated! I'm willing to spend the time as long as you guys help with the funding. That is correct! I try to work around these pointless restrictions as best I can, it's never perfect, but better than if I didn't do it. Thank you very much! Great! -

Yes, it may or may not go through dense vegetation. It really depends. That's why they also add the tall radars in certain situations, like low flying targets. -

Still running Ka-52 tests, found a couple of issues I've taken care of. I also just noticed that helicopters in DCS by default can't find their way to the landing pad on a ship at night. But I have it figured out now. Here's a picture of a Ka-52K doing night operations from a Project 22160. -

Sounds like a configuration issue, bug or a blocked radar. I just tried the S-350 against 20 Tomahawks. They were easily defeated. -

It might be, but as you can imagine, there is no sure way to know since we only go by OSINT. We know that the S-350 is a very modern system though and should be able to defend against at least the larger bombs. As a reference, this is what Roland SAMs from the 70s managed in the Falklands War. -

Thanks, it's a known issue, I have it listed on my web front page. I held back on the update since I wanted a couple of 2.9 patches to be released first. But it turns out ED has changed the parameters for embarking, so I just have to make a small addition for it to work again. I will be updating both the Swedish infantry and US infantry shortly. -

Added the windscreen wipers. Still running test, but I haven't came across anything big, thankfully. Taking off from a Steregushchiy in the rain with Kh-38MA active radar homing missiles hunting for patrol ships. -

Thanks! The blade bend is animated, during testing I noticed I had mistakenly switched the -100 and +100 so the blades would defy gravity.
