Mini-campaign for DCS MiG-29A: "Under the Red Sky"
gabuzomeu replied to YoYo's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Another question: which are the criteria used to check correct stop when NOT using the autostop function? (as I'd rather shut down the aircraft myself) Thanks -
hello, This is extremely interesting and great research as usual. Would hou be able to point us to the manual(s) you have used ?

Regarding the liveries, there are normal and roughmet files in the directories but strange choices (for example only the right wing) This may just be leftovers of the default ones, I could not check Overall, congratulations, it's very nice and I'm eager to fly the Lancaster

Hello, there is a number of discussions on the subject. As a wish, subject to others suggestion: - cockpit language , avionics language and displayed unit shall be possible to select separately (ie any combination) - these choices should be available at the aircraft options level, superseding if need be the choices made for the full game (units). Obviously, some of it is already available. And it should be implemented the same way for all the aircraft (eg the Voggen seems to behave differently than the Mig) Does not seem to be so complex to modifiy the aircarft options menu this way, but, one never knows

Hello Thanks to water injection, no detonation occurs on auto lean and high MP. Therefore the actual F4U manual explicitely states to use Auto Lean when using WEP. And of course, the max rpm allowed is 2700, no more.
-
Yes, 15° at sea level and 29.92 in Hg. I guess we are really not that far in termes of speed. I have the feeling acceleration is sluggish, but I have no reference or doc , just an impression.
-
Just tried and got 346kts TAS @ 21 500', that's 398mph. (screenshot before reaching max) Question: which max speed table do you all refer to? low fuel (<50%), auto lean, 2 700 rpm. 63 in Hg pressure. (Still no clue about water injection button)
-
The real aircraft manual states Auto Lean shall be used with water injection. And , I can't figure out the actual role of the "water injection" button
-
Cowl flaps create major drag indeed and must be almost closed to go fast. Also, mention altitude where you measure speed (Indicated? ctrl-y will display, when repeated, TAS)
-
It works (for me) with rockets on the Mariana WWIi map against Japanese Schnellboot but this is absolutely not consistent.

Why can't I achieve more than 258 kts airspeed?
