I think it's just the excitement to be able to fly the Hind for ourselves soon!
-
That are the IR suppressors, yes. We have these also on the MI-8 module and they are removeable in the MissionEditor for the MI-8(beside other things, external hardpoints, additional armor, cargo half doors). If they actually decrease the IR signature in game or are just cosmetic i don't know.

Yeah, thats what i do also. Is your problem in SP and/or MP? Which weapons exactly? Map? Cold/Hot start? weather? I'm just asking because i could test today in the evening. Last i used the JF-17 excessive in AG role in my little training mission is a couple months ago and i didn't had any trouble(hot start on runway though). I was flying the JF-17 yesterday again(MP after ages) but only AG weapons used by me were C802-AK and there was only one missile acting weird. One C802-AK did a looping instead of impacting, the second hit and sunk the ship. I have to check if something was recorded by track/tacview....

How do you turn on the HNS? Can you upload a short Track or show your steps with screenshots?

Not FC2, but Flanker 2 series, so talking around year 2000! Flanker series -> LockOn(me discovering the series) -> DCS

Tanker doesn’t respond on comm2 multiplayer server
unknown replied to crowebar's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Interesting. I was flying yesterday evening online (OB) since months ago again at Kirks-Hangar. I was in the JF-17 and headed out to hunt the convoy. On my way back i tried to contact the tanker arco 2-1(kc-135 mprs on 126.5MHz) because my fuel level was master caution. It didn't work, i dialed in the channel with the corresponding frequency on COM1 and 2 but the tanker never responded. I thought at that moment that maybe the frequency given in the briefing is/was wrong for that tanker because on an earlier session on that server i had no problem contacting arco 1-1(also a kc-135 mprs but on 126.0MHz). Shortly after that, i was trying to ask about it in chat, my DCS crashed. And now i stumble over your thread. -
Both. Sidearms, i don't think so/ i don't know.

This will probably not help you, but it works for me fine. If i use the axis with the slide function: - 1/3 of axis movement up/down from default middle position -> 1/3 of radar elevation movement up/down in game If i use the axis without the slide function: - radar elevation movement up/down is very slow even if i use max RL axis deflection - radar elevation in game is only moving up/down as long as the axis is out of the default middle position -> no total position mapping like with the slide function but a speed adjusting for up/down movement English is not my native language and i probably didn't explain it well what i meant so here is a YT video showing both axis at work(should be 1440p after YT processing):

@Doc3908Funny that you also say hallo to "Bob" after refueling, i do this every time too.

I don't think we will get any news, it's holidays in russia now until january 11th, maybe next week but for sure in two weeks(and i don't mean ED two weeksTM )
-
There is no newsletter, the one sent was by mistake i guess - nothing was posted in the news thread here on the forum: It contained literally the both words subject and message, hence my post a little earlier.

Did you buy the individual modules(first?)in a sale or so, before buying the FC3 set? Because i own the FC3 set but i can still buy all the individual modules again in the e-shop. If you own the FC3 set you can play all the modules despite that the e-shop is telling you that you can still buy the individual modules(they were released much later individual from the FC3 set).

I just got the new DCS Newsletter E-Mail for today. It had the word "subject" in the subject field and the word "message" in the text field. Oh ED, go back to your xmas holidays, you're drunk!
-
You should try VR. AAR with AG2 setting in the JF-17 is as easy as eating pie. I had major AAR problems in all modules on my 2d screen, 3d perception in VR is a game changer here, it made everything so much easier. Never ever agian flying DCS in 2d. Happy new year!

The fastest and easiest way would be to just eject. After that you can walk around on the ground. Setup some more aircraft types to explore

If it is not listed under your active licenses i would say you didn't bought that module(confusing it with another sim?/or used another account). I have some modules i don't own and i could install them for the free 2 play period but i didn't and they don't show up under my active licenses(didn't bought them). If you don't have an E-Mail confirmation of that module you think you have bought but don't know for sure it will be hard to convince ED i think. You can always raise a support ticket asking for clarification? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/

false positive I got a virus while downloading the latest update
unknown replied to LuckyFromArma's topic in General Bugs
ED changed their software protection system this year. With this change all the AV false positiv errors occourred on this forum. The thing is you get different false positiv errors from your AV software, some from DCS core .dll files preventing you from starting the game(a second time), some random module .dll files crashing that module.... That said, this was only true on my end with the "real time" file check of my AV software. If i checked that specific file manually with my AV software it could not find any problem, also if you uploaded that specific file to some online AV sites for checking -> negative result. Thats why i added my DCS folder to the white list of my "real time" file check and only scan it manually, no problems so far. -
Like zhukov032186 already said, there is a free to play period right now, thats why you can install all modules to test them. From the DCS newsletter: "The Free to Play period will run for two weeks (22.12.20 10:00 PST - 05.01.20 10:00 PST), and it will allow you to access all DCS World modules for free with no time limitation within the two week period. Note that an internet connection is required for the Free to Play event and that Free to Play modules will not work in DCS World in OFFLINE mode." So right now there is only one way to see what modules you own, on the DCS site in your account info like Rudel_chw said. After the free to play period the in game module manager will show you the modules you own again too.

Thank you for clarification uboats OT Total OT and random but thank you again uboats and each one of the Deka team for all your hard work on this beautiful module! Originally i was not interested in the JF-17 but your YT videos before EA release showed that you put your heart and soul in this module and your sustained work to finish and improve this module is a delight to see! Keep going like you did until now! /OT
-
AI only. For the A6 module, if they (can) do it(and i hope that it will be their next module) you have to throw some more money at them(rightly).
-
I interpreted uboats post as that the jeff is getting a terrain avoidence mode for the radar, like in the viggen. I didn't know this is an automatic terrain following mode the jeff is flying automatic? Did i misread something?
-
That looks really cool! Nope, the Viggen radar has this function since EA release.

Who will win the race between the Mi-24 and the OH-58?
unknown replied to Razorback's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
That's an easy answer for me: Mil Mi 24P Hind But this is only based on my personal preference, i'm not much interested in the OH-58 and will wait for several reviews of the FM/DM(+ Gazelle update) before considering to buy it. So, if the OH-58 is released before the Mi-24 i will just wait for the Mi-24 release, there is no competition for me on these two modules. -
Question about tacan navigation HUD indication
unknown replied to sirrah's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
It seems that this is actually not a thing in the F-16.
