Nice suggestion and I will agree that the Sinai map does set the bar right now in DCS, in my opinion.

I thought that might be the visor for the helmet, but I haven’t tried it yet. Not sure either.

SA-342 Gazelle 2023 "FM" Update
Iron Sights replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
Alright, I’ll have to check it out. I purchased when the FM changes happened and it felt like it was too restricted by weight. So I waited to start training. -
Nice, thanks guys.
-
Nice, already noticed the take off is much better. Wish would have gotten some JDAMs. Maybe next time.

When can we expect the next patch for bug fixes and possibly improvements? While I have been enjoying the module, but I haven’t seen any new updates for bug fixes and improvements. Also do you have a list of planned fixes and improvements? Also are there anymore planned videos from Notso? Maybe some added training missions.

You also have a select switch for chaff, flares or both for pilot. Called the dispense select switch.
-
I think that is hard mounted to the plane.

AH-64 in the woods at Fort Eustis
Iron Sights replied to Hootman9104's topic in Military and Aviation
I wonder if that is some sort of POC demo type. Just looks different. But would like to see what this leads too if anybody knows. Old 82nd myself, so good to see some guys that were there as well. -
Yep, you are right. You can dump fuel if it’s a quick turn around. I ran a mission today and found that if you stay fast on most short missions and end up where you want to be on landing. While not the easiest to master I would have to think anyone who has flown the MiG-21 or the F1 would not be intimidated.
-
Maybe at some point we can a landing Weight and speed chart. I have not had any problems on landings, I bleed speed with the air brake as I touchdown and aero brake. I have landed with a full bomb load. Burning off fuel is key, 30,000 lbs of fuel is a lot, so I just run the afterburners or leave the bags off for shorter hops and set fuel to what you need for the mission, plus 30 minutes flight time.

I've tried F-15E today, this module sets some new standards, it's awesome.
Iron Sights replied to bies's topic in F-15E
The module is great, but it could more stand-off weapons. I also can’t wait for the lightening t pod, at the the least. Too hard to see smaller ground targets. All in all a great start, so many great things modeled. -
Still training on the 15, just need to get my AAR on par and then I’m downloading. Thanks for all the work you have done with this so far.

Warbirds: Takeoff Assistance set to 100% again.
Iron Sights replied to LeCuvier's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Yeah, unfortunately that is common when updates happen. I just noticed it again myself yesterday. Had to set them all back to zero. Just have to check it from time to time. One time didn’t pick up on it until I saw my rudder pedals moving when I was taking off. Might get fixed one day. -
Trueno is right I think the AGM-130 is what I saw on the list. I think that will work.

Switching from front seat to rear not working in VR
Iron Sights replied to Sirbum's topic in Bugs and Problems
I wa stuck in the front on the first three training missions. I could change seats in free flight, so I think it is the setting causing that. -
Same here, I guess it's over loaded again. Made it as far as downloading the F-15 and then crash. All my modules not available

I think Loukuins covered the variants pretty good, but I’ll try to clarify a bit more. I’m no expert here and it’s been a while, but we get 4 variants. The F1CE, which the first one they released. The F1EE, which is a bit more enhanced. It has a better RWR, refueling probe and a much improved INS system, which allows waypoints. A newer missile, 530F I believe. Those two are out right now. Next will be the F1BE two seat trainer version, which may be only just that, without any upgrades to the avionics, just a backseat. Not sure. Finally you will get the F1M, a more modern hud, the addition of a MFD and maybe more. Not sure if any other weapons will be added, but last version will get you closer to a Mirage 2000 type aircraft. I know it’s not perfect, but maybe it will help. I’m sure I missed some details, but doing my best.

The E will more than likely come as a Fourth of July release. It looks like they might be lining up for that.

Yep, went to fly my beloved F-1 and bam! I had to walk away. I’ll remap tonight.

fixed Updated DCS - "Authorization failed"
Iron Sights replied to LOW_Hitman's topic in Installation Problems
Same here -
Yep, I tried it and confirmed it as well. It’s a bug.
-
Interesting and strange at the same time.
-
Ok, that might be a bug. I will want to check this out myself. I haven’t been in the 2000 recently, training in the Harrier. I’ll give it a try after work.

Check your mapping in the key binds page, it might have auto assigned a button. Look for the clock reset and see if trim is mapped there too. It can be double bound on a new plane.
