Check that your steerpoint altitude is correct. Otherwise your TGP will track a point in space (or under ground) while the ground apparently translates due to parallax.

Tonight I landed and then took off from an airfield on Cyprus, not listed on the kneeboard, so no REF number. I entered the longitude and latitude using REF/LOLA in Input mode and pressed LS/SKU. However, after switching back to Output, the display still showed the REF number from the original airfield I took off from (9002 Adana), rather than the new LOLA I had just entered. Is this a bug or correct behavior?

US Air Force and Air National Guard circa 2007.

The TGP method wouldn't necessarily allow multiple drops on a single pass.

I agree with @AvroLanc that the azimuth accuracy of the weapon is likely wider than 1 deg, and therefore we shouldn't be relying on a 1 deg wide window to hit a target. However, I agree with you @Furiz that the exclusion of 360 as an ingress heading (if true) is an annoying and unnecessary design choice by MD/Boeing (or ED?). With an uncertainty window several degrees wide on the ingress heading, it always best to be able to center that window on the desired azimuth.
-
So no 360? Directly north is not available?

Ha, unreal, but not unrealistic. Subtle!

Vapor cones only appear under certain flight conditions in real life. In external views, the sound is realistic for supersonic flight. The sound of the aircraft is not audible if your camera point of view is in front of the Mach cone for the current Mach number. If the Mach cone passes the camera (like in F3 flyby view) you will hear a sonic boom.

correct as is F-5 no rudder input needed to maintain coordinated turns
Machalot replied to SMH's topic in Bugs and Problems
This is a question of degree. You keep saying things like "perfectly". In a sustained turn with nearly neutral ailerons, there can be a lot or very little adverse yaw, depending on the airframe. To you it feels like too little, but you can only get a correct assessment by calculating how much there should be and then measuring and comparing. So far we have nothing concrete to support your assertion. -
correct as is F-5 no rudder input needed to maintain coordinated turns

Another way to say it is that there is natural yaw damping inherent to the airframe, and the Yaw Damper artificially increases the damping. Same for pitch. -
It's available on the Hoggit servers.

Somewhere in the 30-40 kft range, don't remember exactly.

correct as is F-5 no rudder input needed to maintain coordinated turns
Machalot replied to SMH's topic in Bugs and Problems
It depends under what conditions. With ailerons deflected into the turn such as at the start of the turn, there should be adverse yaw for some aircraft. But once the turn is established and the ailerons return to near-neutral or slightly counter, there should be very little adverse yaw. Do you disagree? -

The harder you pull, the more centered the ball will be without rudder. How hard are you pulling in these turns? -
F-86 no rudder input needed to maintain coordinated turns.
Machalot replied to SMH's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, but so far we don't have any data on just how "exact" it is and across what range of flight conditions, at least in this thread. -

I have flown the F-5 at Mach 1.6 in DCS.

Is this a DCS bug or a campaign mission problem? As I lined up on the runway at Kobuleti, my wingman crashed into my rear, launching his aircraft into a strange horizontal hover before he ejected and left me with a fouled runway. After I exited the mission and saved the track, the game crashed to desktop when I clicked "Fly Again". Track is 5.2 MB and log attached. Link to download the track file will be valid for 3 days from posting, until approx 6:30 am GMT on 29 May. https://temp.sh/WAzhW/AJS37_Mjolnir_Response_4_wingman_colllision_runway.trk dcs.log-20210526-062023.zip dcs.log debrief.log

investigating F6 missile external view exits before impact
Machalot replied to Machalot's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
But this is not the behavior I normally saw before. In the past it would stay on the target so you could see the explosion and resulting damage, rather than switching away immediately. -
If you can spot camouflaged tanks in clutter at 5 nmi in DCS, you have much better eyes than me.
-
I haven't had this problem when I play in VR. I have an Oculus Rift.
-
In this case the "scenery objects" were my assigned target, so I wasted a 20 minute sortie plus all the planning.

I almost never use trim in the Viper, especially not pitch trim. The FLCS holds 1g when you release the stick.
