I like the products but I am really frustrated by the ordering system / sales team at this point. Change a shipping address? - Not possible -> reorder -> back of the queue Add an accessory? - Not possible - reorder -> back of the queue Combine 2 orders into 1 to save shipping? Not possible -> reorder -> back of the queue I just gave up. Hello Thurstmaster

Hahahaha. Think again. There is no rig that can handle the current DCS (before they give us more with 2.7 and then more...) in VR as you would like it to. But with your specs and a G2 you'll certainly be quite happy with it...for a while

fixed for 2.7 M2k Red Flag M02 issue
Brainfreeze replied to Brainfreeze's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ok ... tried again with ins drift disabled... same thing... waypoints from ins are not the same as on the map. By the way, the mission also does not end properly...ground tell me to exit to alpha North... once there...nothing. And my wingman goes and park at the other end of the airport and the other side...in the hazardous cargo area. -
Whaow that is one p*ssed off customer! Frankly I have very little to moan about the module. It is one of the most accomplished ones I think. Will be happy to see INS & radar fixes (although no sure the radar is not a reflection of the real stuff and have read plenty of issues on other aircraft radars too).

G2 VR newbie in need of reprojection advice
Brainfreeze replied to Captain Slow's topic in Virtual Reality
Yep same here. Never seen the ghost image u described. I do have reprojection + 80% SteamVR resolution and then maxed out on textures, visibility range, trees etc and MSAA at 2x. Never quite understood why VR seems less sharp than screen on an equivalent resolution but that is the way it is. -
AV8B how to steer whilst taxying
Brainfreeze replied to 2Tone's topic in DCS World Tutorial & Help Requests
On Axis it is rudder you need to map. For steering there is the NWS switch in the cockpit (bottom left pannel) to engage / disengage nosewheel steering and then on the hotas stick you have a button combined undesignate/NWS ... that one will allow to steer while the cockpit switch is disengaged/off (Caster wheel) and will allow sharper movement (carrier manoeuvring) when the switch is on NWS. -
M2000 is a superb aircraft to fly. Simple to start and operate, near impossible to crash, super fast and manoeuvrable. Radar is not the best (older aircraft) and missile range is also limited but that takes nothing out of it. The campaigns for the mirage are also really really good.

fixed for 2.7 M2k Red Flag M02 issue
Brainfreeze replied to Brainfreeze's topic in Bugs and Problems
Don't think so because even WP1 (just outside Nellis) is coming wrong (actually got it triggered on my return back to nellis after the mission!). I'll disable INS drift just in case -
Tried the Quest 2 again this morning and got disconnections... sorted it quickly... The usb connection to the headset is really weak and easily moves when looking around. Need to use the velcro strap quite close it so that it has no movement at all. Kinda annoying because it is more comfortable to fix the cable in the back of the head but for that you need a second velcro strap otherwise the usb is too loose.

just to make sure...u checked for the vr settings .lua file in the SAVEDGAMES/DCS.openBeta folder right? should be called HP Reverb Virtual Reality Headset G20.lua

Having an issue with trigger for when the oculus package is on station (which trigger dialog and then scanning of ground targets by tornadoes). Just struggling to get it to trigger. I fly WP3 then WP4 then WP5 and nothing...have to come back to WP3 and circle then back to WP4 to trigger it but hit and miss...burning a lot of fuel I noticed that the waypoints as shown on F10 map are not where the INS sees them in reality. They are all North (on F10) of what my INS tells me. I play with INS pre-aligned and put it in true heading as requested in briefing. Edit: Flew again and indeed waypoints in INS are not where they are on the map...lots of triggers are missed... workaround is to fly with F10 rather than INS for headings. Not sure what is going on

Introducing the Virpil Control Panel #2!

There should be a panel for VR users... don't need anything that is already in the cockpit for us but something with easy to find buttons and switches to trigger all the other 'sim related' functions and stuff ... views etc cause trying to find a key on the keyboard with the VR hmd on is not cool -
A laptop will always struggle with DCS. @Reflected's advice is just the right one to improve FPS. Regarding VR, if you have a quest 2 then use oculus tray tool and set supersampliing between 1.2 and 1.5 and PD in DCS at 1. If you have a Reverb G2 then steamVR resolution to slightly above the native resolution of the headset (like 3000x3000) ... This is around 70% setting for me but people get various recommended % depending on their systems. This will give you crisp cockpit without taxing too much. If still struggling then drop SuperSampling from these.

u guys know where the saved profiles are actually saved? updated to v0.9.9B2 and lost my profiles in the process
-
found this utility: DCSWaypointEditor. works well if you enter waypoint in it manually outside of DCS and they import into aircraft once in DCS. Have not tried the F10 map capture function

Err, not me! Mistaken identity with Reflected.

what's your hardware?

These issues are notoriously difficult to trace in Windows. Could be Windows / Graphic driver / WMR / SteamVr / G2 headset. I recently had issues that were actually related to setting on the Nvidia driver (think it was Vsync put to FAST). Guess @AlpineGTA has done this already but worth starting clean and default settings on all of these components (starting with the never ending windows updates). We end up with so many tweaks to try and maximise VR performance that things can get messed up fast
