MB-339A/PAN by Frecce Tricolori Virtuali
flyingscotsman replied to Jagg's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Have upgraded to 2.5.4 beta and had to remove the mb339 to get sim back working. I deleted the aircraft from the c:\saved games\dcs open Betaz\Mods\Aircraft. Put the mods back in blocks and kept restarting to confirm working. The mb339 was the only mod I had to leave behind. Any suggestions. No rush -
:smilewink:So reading between the lines, some will think it won't be long in coming! I sure miss the definite answers we used to get/give in the military :megalol:

** F-14 Development Update: December 2018 **
flyingscotsman replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thank you for the comprehensive briefing. I for one am very patient and will be very happy with what I get first day....no I won’t read the manual but take for a spin , find a a carrier and hopefully trap first time...then go read the manual ???? Hats off to the team, I have limited software skills. So mega impressed Looking forward to it. -
Sqn Ladd Jeremy Polk in his book regarding GA in the Falklands gives credit to his instructors insist they study the maps and visualise the route, Nothing Hi tech on a GR3, I found it very useful in simulation too, but yes it,s easy to get saturated, that’s why I didn’t make it as a real pilot, but it’s good fun

New target guy, gots me some questions...
flyingscotsman replied to crab's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Congratulations on getting the Warthog, I don't understand TARGET handbook, I've programmed my keys using the in game software for each aircraft and I'm sure we all have our own profiles. You can search in the downloads for profiles and add them. But I've generally found the keys that suit, selected what I want them to do in that aircraft, and it's worked fine. I find having a 'picture' of the throttle or stick helps decide which keys/buttons etc helps. I have literally done little diagramsof what key does what, and have to 're-brief' myself every few months as I get back to a particular aircraft. Hope this helps -

So enjoyed the look of this aircraft, you might get some complaints from Dubai ATC, I was charging around their area with the er...wrong paint job, .......The Israeli one just looks so cool....Only thought about it a bit later. Och its a great plane, thanks -

** HOW TO REDEEM YOUR HEATBLUR.COM PURCHASE **
flyingscotsman replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I paid on HB site, got the owl,=ED key sequence, did have trouble getting that link to work, kept getting 404, put the code in Coupon redeem, got an ok your linked, should have screen shot that one! I could not then find any other screen that shows me I've got it all sorted. But happy to wait for the release date as I still have 2 more 'ED' keys to redeem if we get stuck. Just got to the 'Modules' section where we normally buy aircraft on the DCS site and it now has, 'you already have a licience for this!" Yay! So it's just that it takes some time to sort out, thanks to all involved .....Now where's that handbook. -
Thanks guys for this thread, bought mine Sunday, noted the 3 tries and have held off, to see how it works, or not, will get this sorted later, thanks for the teamwork.

Nov is not far away, and life does get in the way, no problem all looks good thank you

Could it be that your axes are not set right in controls? When I start with any new aircraft I find I have to delete any extra axes that my set up has put in by default. I.E. my pedal's affect other axes, turn right rudder and my throttle goes mad, my toe brakes affect the flaps etc, so could I suggest a quick look in there to make sure what should be in control, is.

flyingscotsman replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thanks Charlie, it’s amazing what have to be aware of, better safe than sorry. A loti of us will struggle without you on this one, but your dead right to be wary.(Chucks Guide to staying out of jail?) Thanks -
Thanks for the update, Was looking forward to it. So we have to wait, we waited for the Hornet a long time. Flight School? Man am I jealous, colour blind so that could never happen for me. Hope you enjoy it and do well, Good luck

Yep, first day. I flew in a Tucano once, it had things on it that didn’t work that day. Didn’t ruin a brilliant experience. I don’t expect perfection at this price The real things have problems from day one too
