  1. I will try to answer you. Foveated rendering is useful if you are GPU bound. While if you are CPU bound it can worsen your performance. Mbucchia can of course be more precise and clarify more. What are your specs?
  2. Probabilmente la differenza corrisponde alla variazione magnetica (dipende anche dall'anno). In ogni caso se allinei gli steerpoint nel mission editor dovrebbero comunque rimanere allineati

  4. Beh il rift s è fuori produzione da un po' ma dovresti trovarne di usati tra 200 e 250 euro. Da nuovo costava 450 euro all'uscita, e 350 quando dovevano dismetterlo...per cui 1000 euro sarà qualche furbo. Il quest 2 non è male, ma non è un visore nativo per PCvr per utilizzarlo occorre un cavo USB con certe prestazioni e l'immagine viene compressa dalla tua scheda video e decompressa dall'hardware del visore con annessi aumenti di latenza e di carico sulla scheda video stessa... inoltre ha una risoluzione più alta rispetto al rift s...per questo personalmente considerato il tuo hardware non lo consiglierei...certo su Amazon lo trovi al prezzo ufficiale e nel caso puoi renderlo non dovesse soddisfarti.
  5. Well..it's math, not my personal experience. Simply less than 16gb vram is not suitable for a good VR experience with high texture settings. When low of vram you will have plenty of stutters caused by swapping to system ram and from system ram to disk. You also have to consider what is a good experience for different people. Personally I cannot use VR if my fps are below the ASW (oculus reprojection tech) threshold. So maybe you could stand some dips of frame rate without noticing and now something is different for you
  6. That is simply not possible, last year I had a 2080ti and "only" 11gb of vram, and I absolutely had to use low terrain textures and medium textures. Only when I upgraded to the 24gb 3090 I could change the settings to both high
  7. Yes the radar format can only show 5 steerpoints. It is so in the real jet. You should use the Hsi and tsd formats for navigation purposes
  8. He means that you have to bind those inputs on your stick... usually it is bound to a 4 way switch on the stick..like on the real life jet.
  9. Ciao..io avevo il G2 e neanche con una 3090 ero soddisfatto. Penso che oltre il rift S non puoi andare con quella configurazione. Hai una CPU moderna ma con pochi core, ed una scheda video appena decente per il VR (buona per il 2d). Riguardo la chinetosi, io mi sono abituato con voli tranquilli di 10 minuti alla volta, via via aumentando durata ed intensità delle manovre. Una decina di giorni e non ho più avvertito alcuna difficoltà (e differenze rispetto al classico monitor + track ir)
  10. You don't need to set as 3 screen. You just have to set 1 screen and the resolution (which I guess is 5120*1440)
  11. There should be a stereo mode in DCS (monitor setup -> stereo) I don't remember if it has been removed. If it's there you can use it to simulate VR. But as said above you need to take account the real resolution which is higher then the headsets' specs

  13. I don't know, I have the guardian enabled. Anyway on a reddit post I found a suggestion to delete guardian history for this issue, and rebuild guardian borders. for now it seems to be working
  14. Sometimes yes, but the last few times it happened without me removing the headset. I disabled turbo mode this evening and it happened as well. I also was still inside DCS (didn't crash this time) but controllers tracking was messed up I was only in 3dof

I am having this issue with the Quest Pro, basically every session I got a "lost tracking" message in the headset, some times it closes itself immediately and DCS continues to work, but more often DCS crashes... I don't know if it is my headset, meta bug or if meta-foveated is involved in this (still didn't have time to try without it). Is someone else with the same issue? These lines appears in the logs: null
  16. My friend I am sorry for your loss. With what you are experiencing it is normal that your desire for a game/sim whatever..i is not in first place....the mourning has its phases (it is for every kind of loss) and slowly, but smoothly you will eventually go back to normal. Maybe you could find it beneficial to see a therapist....but feel free to share and vent on this forum...there are countries at war, but here we are for a common passion and dream...we are united in some way.   18. For the Rhino we have a software which augments DCS effects... I recall @propeler was working on a similar software which would work with all sticks. Which one do you have?
  19. I tried everything trust me... But I know that there are some people who can stand without reprojection with the frames going freely or locked in and others that cannot. I am the second kind I guess. Also I don't use the toolkit anymore as with the quest pro there is another app from mbucchia for the foveated rendering
  20. Lucky you... without MR (ASW in my case) I cannot have a Good VR experience. As anything below my headset refresh rate is unpleasant for me, and having 80fps all the time (I have the pro at 80hz) is not possible with my system (5800x3d, 3090) I would like to try the 7900xtx but if AMD didn't do anything to sync frames for MR it won't be good for me.
  21. From the settings you are depicting I assume you are not using motion smoothing/reprojection. Could you try it just to see how it works with these cards. With previous ones it was really not syncing
  22. Did the cougar remain stuck in the shipyard? If so (as it happened twice to me) BD is aware of the bug and the mission fails because the subsequent triggers won't happen.
