Sorry if these have been covered above. There are 2 (or 3 if you may) ways to start DCS in VR in Oculus VR headset 1. Link cable via Oculus Link, you need a nice USB-C cable, which I assume you already have. Start the Oculus Windows app, with the Q3 turned on, you should be able to change the visual settings of the Q3 for PCVR. Also make sure you have set Oculus as the default OpenXR runtime, which you can find it in the Oculus Windows app under Settings -> General. Click on Oculus/Meta link in your headset and have a blast; 2. Airlink is Oculus Link without over WiFi, the things to set is about the same; and 3. Another way, which I have been using, is Virtual Desktop. You need the app installed inside the headset (not from Steam!), which is purchased from Oculus store, and a free streaming app on the PC. It has its own OpenXR runtime which claims to be more efficient. It is wireless also, and it is highly recommended the network it is on is solely used between the host PC and the Q3. I have a small router just for the setup. This solution cannot use any connection via USB nor Ethernet. Is it better? Performance wise, better; but it has its own set of issues.

Force feedback Joystick from Moza
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants replied to Thunderchief2000's topic in Input Devices
I dunno how the bot works, but I just say, my guess is before my order is ready, we would know more about the WinWing offer. I am open to either one for I already have the Moza. As for the software issue, from one Chinese company to another, I dunno and I don't really care. -

About the wait time on the "other side", currently it is still 80+ days which has not moved for the past 2 weeks. Yes, I am in the queue like any good UK people know how to do naturally. I have no crystal ball about the WinWing one which has been hinted from time to time. By the time my VPForce order is ready, at least I think we would know more about the WinWing "ship" so I would be able to make the call. I am keeping my Moza. I am not too brothered by the software issue. As long as it can stay in the MFSSB mode, replacing my current Warthog base for F-16 style planes. I am happy. -
Cannot load the game when the mod is in. Remove the mod from the "Save Games" directory, it loads again.

VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants replied to MurrayCod's topic in VR Bugs
First, you need to enable VR in DCS Settings, can be found in the VR tab inside Settings. Then, you need to use VDXR in VD: I don't use either OTT and OXRTK. -

Nope, I am using the F-4 profile but yet to try the trim behaviour. You may wish to try their Discord but the support on the Base seems to have gone. -

Weather mod v17 for DCS
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants replied to bandit648's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I suspect it is already in the works by looking at the new fog table, as it seems to resemble Type 1 of Low Level Stratus. Fingers crossed.- 321 replies

Low Level Stratus Clouds: As long as it would work in the future versions, I would keep on completing the series.- 321 replies

Yes, the IKEA one. Will have a look. Thanks.

Thank you guys! The aluminium part is actually the HOTAS mount which is for flying aircraft with side stick (like F-16). I am not sure if the bass shaker should be mounted there. Dual shaker seems to be a good idea... Adding extra short legs or paddings underneath seems to be a good idea.

It is very strange. I suggest you need to bring your case up on the Discord and seek support. Sorry. -

Strange. I don't have this issue...have you tried any helicopter? -
To be specific, this is the side photo of my "game chair". Should I mount the shaker in either location marked by coloured circle: blue under the side beam, green under the beam in the back and red, on top of the leg? Or should it be mounted elsewhere? Thanks in advanced.

May I ask which plane were you flying and what profile was in use?
