  1. Currently looking at a second hand one which was barely used for 35€. So I expect it to be cheaper than trying to buy a Huions (Amazon doesnt deliver to Switzerland). But Thank you :)
  2. I think my pdf was a bad example. Its a PDF in Landscape I downloaded somewhere. I will try it with a better reference on Friday. But the same happens to a empty notepad. What format of the PDF would be the best? DIN A4 or US Letter? Does it matter? WinTab was disabled. I will purchase a WACOM Intuos S until the weekend, so I wont use the surface in the future. This thing gets way to hot and since the battery is fubar anyway, I cannot use it for long (even plugged in). But I will provide the feedback to find the issue. Thanks a lot.
  3. My GData doesnt complain. Just add an exception for VRK and you should be good to go. Please report about the usability of the Wacom Intuos S. Would be a nice option for me as well. So, tried out. Launching DCS with STEAM VR worked (of course it did ;-)). The reinstall didnt help with the distrotion. Here is a link to a screenshot: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuUmp94NyNrf41FynrX8jFoznBg8?e=A2BJ5K. When I try to write on the Surface Pro, the position of the pen isnt the same as on the kneeboard. Thanks.
  4. Oh, the ability to read would make things a lot easier. Yep, I definitly started DCS with Oculus Running and just had SteamVR passive in the background. That explains a lot :). Will try the force_steam_VR command tonight. Will provide a screen of the distroted view as well, but I will try a reinstall on the Surface Pro 4 first. Thanks for the tipps. Appreciate it.
  5. Hmm, thats interesting. I guess you are also using the most up to date version of VRK, correct? I might try a reinstall on my Surface then. Wierd.
  6. Hey Rider, This is such a great concept and execution. I think this Tool should get more attention. I think if you put this under Inputs/VR section of this forum, this should get a lot more visits. I have some issues getting VRK Working. Two bigger issue and one small: - The notepad area and the PDF's are wierdly distorted on my surface pro 4.I guess its the wierd aspect ratio of the Surface Pro (3:2). The distrotion is also transmitted to the server. - I didnt see the Kneeboard ingame. I saw the kneeboard it a short time when oculus had crashed --> Showed up in SteamVR. But combined Oculus, SteamVR and DCS I couldnt find it. Tried to walk arround the cockpit to find it... no luck. Do you have to relaunch VRK after changing the position values or are they automaticly changed within VR? Can I preview the position within SteamVR without having DCS loaded? - When I have the Surface Pro 4 in Tablet mode / portrait and go full screen, I have no way to get it back down to window mode. All the buttons dissapear. Could you add a button to get it back to window mode? I'm not sure if strapping a hot Surface Pro 4 on my knee is a good idea. What kneeboard sized drawing tablet, which is supported by VRK, could you recommend? Doesnt have to be a cheap one. More interested in great functionality. Many Thanks. Best regards from Switzerland
  7. Or use something like Joy2Key. Then you can assign a 3xCtrl+E action to it.
  8. Are you sure that the button activations are detected properly? I had a similiar issue with my Base and it was simply the cable connecting the grip to the base. Replaced that cable and all the issues went away.
  9. Printed everyting. Turned out pretty well. You did glue in the tactile switches, correct? Best regards
  10. Maybe something like this? VRK - Virtual Reality enabled Kneeboard But you will need a compatible Windows Tablet or a Pencil Utility.
  11. Yes, absolutly. End of Hornet!:megalol: Just relax. When there are news to post, Wags will post them. He just spoke on the Fighter Pilot Podcast about the next development for the Hornet + the Viper.
  12. The Shortcut on the desktop points towards setup.exe. Change the target to "...\bin\dcs.exe" and the updater won't be started.
  13. if you can solder, cut the cable. There are two wires inside. Connect them to the USB +5V and GND. And you are good to go. Some heat shrink to isolate every wire and than a bigger heat shrink over the whole cable. And you are done. There is basicly nothing you can mess up, as long as you basic skill in soldering.
  14. What else should it be for? If you open up the ProClip its just cheap plastic, wiring and 3 LED's. I dont think there is even a resistor in there... Yep, and they charge 45$ for it :megalol:
  15. Awesome. Looks great. Are you using specific plans? What does the seat look like?
  16. Wow, I didnt see this topic. This sounds awesome. Need to read and watch every information in the lunch break. I still have a Surface Pro 4 including Stylus laying around... (battery is weak). Would this be suitable for VRK? Thanks
  17. Thanks for the video. I think I will replace my push-through-detent with your finger Lift as well. Looks cool as hell. Looking forward to the release of the step files.
  18. Awesome. Can't wait to prep the 3d printer :)
  19. Interesting. Will this plate replace the current cover plate of the right lever? How are you connecting the Antenna Elevation Buttons to the 8-Way Coolie Hat? Adapterboard? Anyway, neat solution. Finally a use for those IMHO useless 45° actions. Looking forward.
  20. I'm looking forward to this. Looks nice. Quick questions/hints: - Is the Radar Elevation on the F-18 or F16 just a button or rather an analog axis? - Does this wheel create enough leverage to comfortable activate the tactile button? - Could a limit switch with a lever-activation be better suited? I guess this will be wired to a I/O Board of choosing? Thanks
  21. Nice. Antenna Elevation Control for the Warthog Throttle :)
  22. Thanks for the offer. I would be close by (Bäretswil), but it wont be needed. Probably will purchase the grip next week anyway. Thanks
  23. Thanks for the info. Digitec just listed it as well... but for 249 CHF... Let us know what you think. Just might pick it up next week. Do I see it correctly, that we are loosing a 4-way coolie hat and just get this wierd 2-way wheel? Thanks
  24. Or you can assign a button on your keyboard and use a joystick tool (Joy2Key, Gremling, Target or any other software) to send that keyboard stroke when you hit your PTT on your Joystick...
