Both are great. The F-16 still has to catch up a bit, but this will come in the next couple weeks / months. Pick whatever airframe you have more interest in.

How about this? HEADQUARTERS - massively improved fast mission generator
-
I doubt you have uninstalled SimpleRadio (And why would you, its awesome ;)) Anyway, go to settings, special tab. Look for SRS. You can disable this window. If you really want to install it, I would suggest to redownload it. Run the Installer. Run the installer again and click Uninstall. Just to clear all items. I assume you just deleted the folder within C:\Programs\... and let all files sit under C:\User\DCSOpenBeta\Scripts\SRS.

SRS Overlay how to get rid of
Gruman replied to IronKirton's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Then change it? From the Github Page of SRS: -
Well, until Vulkan is released, DCS sticks to 1 (+1 for AI) Core. Vulkan was mentioned in the last newsletter, so let's hope we get news soon. Currently, the 9700K is probably the best choice if the primary focus is DCS. The Hyperthreading of the 9900k will give no benefits and only create higher temperatures. The Ryzen 3 Processors are currently a good alternative, but before Vulkan not really an significant improvement.

How about using Virtual Reality Kneeboard by AMVI_Rider? Sounds like a perfect fit for you. ;) Check out the link and join discord if you have any questions.

And let's not forget the announced amount of flares. Let's hope this gets included rather sooner than later.

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
Gruman replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
As Rider pointed out, a core feature. You can have a mission data card, CAS Card, a Notepad, Quick Reference Booklet, DCS Flight Manual at the same time. Those are separate into register tabs you can toggle between. Best thing: You can even put in Bookmarks, so you can have your emergencies procederes open with one pen click. Anybody found a neat trick to inhibit the WACOM Pen to roll away off the surface? Did you install a pen holder or something? This thing is perfectly round... A clip at the end would have been a great addition. -
Well, you do 90% of the movement with your view. Then you fine adjust with your "weak" side. Should adapt quickly, but... I would keep a mouse handy for main menu, options, mission editor ;)

A good one :megalol:. Welcome. Have fun.

Mod for Radio Communication Commands [VR]
Gruman replied to blunt_waco's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
You mean something along the lines of this? Not sure if it still works. But, check out Voice Attack with VAICOM. It's great. -
I never had big issues with VR, but my GF tried it once and had a bad time. If you are seriously trying to get into VR, then get a VR Headset that has solid tracking. Rift S or Valve Index. WMR devices could be also a good choice, but I've no experience with those. Smooth solid believable tracking is the key to not overload the brain. Some recommend ginger chewing gum to occupy the brain. Short sessions. Take many breaks while flying. Don't do acrobatics or fly helicopter the first couple weeks. Those actions can trigger motion sickness rather quickly.

Allow use of kneeboard commands whilst sim is paused
Gruman replied to Hippo's topic in DCS Core Wish List
AFAIK it works with all DX 11 Titles. OpenGL (Xplane) is still WIP. Join the discord if you like to chat with the dev directly. You can still use your ingame kneeboards at the same time. It will add another one to use :). -
Allow use of kneeboard commands whilst sim is paused

A bit offtopic, since you mentioned VR and Kneeboard, did you look at VRK? -
A bit longer discussion about this topic: Wishlist DCS: MQ9 Reaper

Need more improvement for throttle control
Gruman replied to flankerjun's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
TARGET or any other Joystick Mapper could do this, but the fewer Apps running, the better. I guess you are familiar with the "Special for Joystick" Tab. I know, not all functions are mapped there, but those could be looked at if you like to change the control .lua yourself. I agree, all those functions should be accessible without the need to mod the controls or usage of any Joystick Mapper (Target, Joy2Key, etc). Instead of even more bindable function, each function should have more settings. Let us define On - Off State, Toggle and timed functions. -
A bit overdramatic to call this a "Holiday Sale Nightmare". The sale was long enough and there are sales every couple weeks / months. Just enjoy the modules you bought, learn to fly them and grab other modules on the next sale. Or just buy them full price and get more ED Miles.

Give the KC-135 MPRS option to refuel with Basket and Boom!
Gruman replied to Greekbull's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Yep, but ED could try to change/optimize the configuration. I thought I saw a mod a long time ago (before Razbam released the MPRS), which had both systems working at the same time. Sadly I couldnt find it again. Maybe we get something along the lines when the Air Refueling gets overhauled. Quiet a few items on the New basket/probe physics, better AI handling, better Communication, new Callsigns, select fuel quantity, beeing assigned the right or left drogue via comms etc. Additional Tankers would be great alongside the new S-3 and KA-6. -
I guess good job. Just do it every flight and it gets easy soon.

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
Gruman replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
Yep. Mirror works perfectly. Scale that mirror window up (with start parameters) and define it in OBS. -
That's pretty sweet. Looks like a confotable chair. Maybe a bit hot after couple hours? Or is it breathable? The pictures are a nice touch :) I might have to borrow some ideas as inspiration... ;-)

Known issue. If you are interested, you can use Frenchy's NVG Mod workarround: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151646 But, if the server you are running Integrity Checks it may not let you join. You will have to play arround with the config as described in that post. Will let you position and scale to a more realistic view. Please ED, fix this. It's a 10 second configuration.

1. Yep, both joystick and throttle should be hideable. 2. A rework of the communication menu would be nice. The wheel menu is one of the option. But I'm sure there are less "game" options. And support for voice radio commands (without 3rd party apps) would be nice. 3. Pilot Models would be nice, but I wouldnt use them if there is not a 50% body option available. I'd like to see the pilot legs and feet, but I have no desire to hide the arm to click switches... Or maybe the pilot could simply lift up his arm when you look to the left... (or just hide for starters) 4. I wouldnt use it for that usecase, but options are always nice. I prefer a stabelized mouse which is not bound to the vision. The cursor would only be moved/dragged, if the mousepointer hits the boundries.

Well, they are already dooing that from a Invisible Humvee ;) There is a playable pilot mod, so a playable JTAC cant be to hard.:smartass:
