  1. Nice start. Looking good. Make sure that monitor gets some fresh air... otherwise it will overheat;)
  2. Any chance for the STL file on the Hook and landing gear module? :book: Thanks.
  3. Received the PCB from China yesterday. Ready to order the parts to assemble. The BOM of the UFC doesnt declare what key / encoder / display was used. Do you have partnumbers for those? Or were they bought all of Ebay? Thanks
  4. I don't know why people are defending Oculus and mention this interview... Its a poor excuse for 3 years of development. Facebook / Oculus decided to go for the big marked, yes. Why should we be happy about that? Even the quest has a higher resolution screen than the Rift S... Why? Audio is a downgrade, tracking is worse, its heavier and yep, no hardware IPD Adjustment (can be a problem for some "minority"). It's visually an incremental update, a downgrade in other areas. Great for new VR Users but not a reason to swap a Rift for a Rift-S IMHO.
  5. There was a change. The Hornet receives bigger updates only once a month. The implementation of new features created bugs with existing modules.

    Kneeboard

C:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\DCS.OpenBeta\Kneeboard\F-18c\ (or similiar, you will find it) :book: There are tons of information on the forums. Just seach for kneeboard :smilewink:
  7. We should know more tomorrow. 1st May is the announced pre-order day. :pilotfly: VirtualLink would be awesome... But I would need a new card :music_whistling:
  8. Apparently the Rift S is already on display in BestBuy stores... Microsoft Store is also states the release date for 21st May 2019 Still concerned about the downsides of the Rift-S... Bad Audio, Software IPD settings, Facebook...

    Kneeboard

Of course. In the end they are just pictures. Easiest way would be Kneeboard Builder Will convert any PDF or Picture in the propper format and puts it into the correct folder.
  10. Nice work. Cheap and functional. I like it. Which programmable keyboard did you use? Will you stick with this cardboard box version or are you going to redo the thing in wood or metal?

    Kneeboard

Simple. Check your keybindings under Kneeboard. When in the aircraft, hit the show/close Kneeboard keybind. Kneeboard will pop up. Use next/prev page to go to the site you want. Hit the Create Shortcut keybind. Do that to all the pages you want a shortcut. Then you can jump between the shortcuts via next/prev Shortcut or use the direct Shortcut 1, Shortcut 2 commands. But the kneeboard must be filled by yourself. Either get the Checklists from NATOPS or check the DCS User files
  12. Sounds great. Will do :)
  13. All the other VR Headsets have Inside-Out-Tracking. I'm happy that Valve goes into another direction.

    Kneeboard

My answer was for the OP ;) I thought there was a texture which fixes that issue... Give me a moment :book: [Edit] This doesnt fix it?

    Kneeboard

You can do that yourself. You can create shortcuts and jump to them. Check the Kneeboard Control tab ;-)
  16. I'm interested in the Flight Sim Edition Version. Sadly it's currently unavailable. Are you modifying them yourself? Will there be a preorder or do I need to be lucky to get one in October? :music_whistling:
  17. Its a Keybinding. Not anything in the Export.
  18. Did you enable the MFD's in the AV-8B? There is a special Export Command you need to press... every time. Look under controls and search for Export. I guess Razbam M-2000C handles it the same way...
  19. That would be awesome
  20. Nah, VirtualLink is basicly USB Type-C and an open standard. There are already adapters for VL to HDMI/USB3.0 so a adapter into the other direction will be available when the VR Headsets hit the market. VL can push enough power and data to reduce the silly cables...
  21. IMHO, as long as DCS is not optimised for multi-core usage (more than the two), I would stick to Intel. Their single core performance is usually a lot stronger... And as soon as AMD announces their shiny new CPU lineup... Intel will do the same. If you use the computer for other heavy workload stuff like encoding / renderering, team red has a lot to offer. But for DCS I will always go for team blue/green. I would love to get a system from team red... but the games I usually play dont really run well on those systems :joystick:
  22. And it even dropped early ;)
  23. That CPU must have an easy life ;-). But it will be a bottleneck, you should release it to 4.0GHz :smilewink: Is it a 8700 or a 8700K? If its the K version, you should run it a bit faster... 4.5GHz or higher depending on the cooler. The 2080 / 2080TI is a good choice. The 1080TI would have been a bad choice, since the new VR Headsets will hopefully start to use the VirtualLink on the RTX Cards..
  24. Basicly any Z370 or Z390 board from a known manufacturer (MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte etc). Depends on the goodies you want... RGB, Wifi I would go for a board with two M.2 slots. 150 - 250$. Since you are not planning on dooing manually OC you can go for the cheaper boards anyway.
  25. Simply Awesome. Looking good. I take a set :joystick::D Anyway, great progress. Looking forward to seeing the whole thing assabmled. Almost sad that this won't be a device with working screens... That would look awesome.
