  1. Why? Because we can. Why shouldnt we adjust PD to get a better clarity? As long as the performance doesnt drop below a comfortable level it doesnt hurt. And since MSAA is eating a lot of performance, a higher PD is more efficient. In the end Its a balance. Start at 1.0 and increase as you go.
  2. There are multiple way to get it working. We have software (Joy2Key or any other macro software), electromechanical solution like the one from Miles or you could do a small electronic circuit which gives 3 pulses if triggered (Modulo). Tbh, the software solution is probably the easiest and most stable variant. If you are already using a programmable electronic controller for the other buttons, you are able to programm it within the "firmware".
  3. Hey mate. Looking good. Definitly keep em coming (and maybe add larger pics? A bit small to see details.) Thanks :-)
  4. Any tips to deal with the heat of the Rift S? Never had the issue with the CV1, but 5min in the Rift S and I'm sweating. Very unconfortable. A fan would help, but the heat is still between my head and the Headset... I hope VR Cover finally releases their replacement kits... Rift S foam is terrible.
  5. Problem with EdTracker is the lack of 6DOF... If 3DOF is enough for you... Some guys running it in hybrid-mode with TrackIR or other webcam based headtracker.
  6. Never used any software for the VPC Base. Works out of the box. So shouldnt be a problem on the Hornet Grip as well.
  7. Will purchase as soon as it's available locally in Switzerland. Price is about what I expected from a manufacturer which releases rudder pedals for 500$. Looking forward to put it on my VPC T-50 mount.
  8. I got the Rift S and my MFD look clear and crisp. Nothing blurry or washed out. Easely readable from neutral seating position. It's a fresh vanilla install. No Mods or anything. Try the things mentioned above. Delete shaders, disable export of MFD's, select VR preset and top of any texture texture Including the MFD Settings. Should make everything crisp again.
  9. Interesting... Will extensions be available at preorder as well? What is the weight of the throttle and the stick? The thin deskmounts with the small surface friction clamp makes it look a lot lighter than advertised... Whats the estimated shipping price from China to Europe? Thanks
  10. It's just the overlay. Its a good thing for the VR guys. Let's you know if you still connected and still are able to transmitt. But IMHO it should be hidden from start and be called via a keybinding... Which can be done manually... (Just check the Changelog, there is a new config section). I hope SRS gets its own settings menu in DCS to change stuff like that.
  11. If headtracking is not smoothly 1:1, it can create motion sickness. Snapview would be better, since the picture is static and no turning involved. They can be configured and put on shortcuts. For the curve for headtracking, your friend could try to play with Opentrack. But because DCS is talking directly with SteamVR and Oculus SDK it wouldnt be an easy assigning of an axis... This connection would need to be cut and rerouted via opentrack. Then connected back into DCS as a axis like TrackIR. You would loose stereo view and would need to use a virtual desktop... I would go with the Snapviews first... Lot more feasable than my wierd "idea" above ;).
  12. When I put on my Rift S yesterday, I had the 3 dots on the screen. Just black background. Unplugging USB / DP and rebooting didnt help... :( Reinstalled Rift S software (2nd time this week... I miss my old Internet Connection...) Then I had 3 dots with the grid background. At least tracking of my view was back... :music_whistling: Reinstalling / Updating to the newest NVIDIA Driver did the trick. Still had issues with controller tracking, but I think recalibrating tonight will fix that :joystick: I hope they can improve the stability...
  13. Its not in the F18... Look for the UI Layer
  14. Your RAM are fine. I like 32GB because it simply compensates for not efficient memory management by the developers. I guess you have two 8GB modules installed and still have to empty slots, correct?
  15. Did you go for 16 or 32GB of RAM? 3000MHz?
  16. Guess nobody has a similiar issues. Looks like its time for a fresh OS installation.
  17. You don't run DCS in Admin mode, correct? Because if your Streamdeck is not running admin as well, DCS could simply be ignoring the Streamdeck software inputs. Probably not the cause, but just wanted to point out the possibility. Good luck.
  18. Hi guys. I've a problem which I need some help with. I reckon its a issue with UAC, but trying to screw arround with admin mode didnt really help. When I fly, I normaly use VoiceAttack(VAICOM) and SRS. In the background we have a TS which we utilise for briefings before we get ingame. TS is only used for game issues etc. When I got in game, everything is fine. Dooing radio checks over SRS, talking to the crew chief and tanker works fine. Even TS works without issues. After about 30min ingame, all of those programs stop responding to my PTT-buttons on my throttle ... No clicks over VAICOM or SRS. Teamspeak stop responding to my PTT on my mouse as well. I have to restart all those tools a multiple times to get it running again (Admin, no Admin didnt seem to matter). Issues repeats itself every half hour or so. DCS is started on normal priviledges SRS starts by default in Admin TS doesnt like to be launched in Admin, but doesnt really matter VAICOM complains about not beeing admin, but IMHO it works more reliable without Admin. Any tips how this UAC thing is handled properly? Disabling UAC didnt work either. I've it now back to default. Tried to go the route of using task scheduler to run all those programs "with highest priviledges", but TS refuses to launch at all. Thanks guys.
  19. Nothing you can do... other than creating your own physical boundaries ;) I prefer it this way...
  20. I had a lot of concern for this VR Headset. Especially the lack of good audio... But I gave in and preordered it. My favorite retailer in Switzerland did list it on the shop for preorder. Including 30 Day Return or for RMA'ing (Which I needed on my last Rift CV1...). Looking forward
  21. Are you using the VirtualLink Adapter for USB/HDMI or did you use the Vive Link Box / DIY variant of it? Since VirtualLink supports DisplayPort, I would assume there will be an DP adapter available soon. Here is the old HDMI Variant
  22. Wags explained the lack of a Mini-Update with Hope its just the Flu and he's back on his feet soon. Get well soon! Best regards
  23. What kind of Kneeboard do you want to build? Just a map with some circles for target? -> Photoshop / Coral Draw / Photo Affinity / Gimp / Paint.net Mission Card? -> Excel/Google Sheets (Templates are available) or just CombatFlight (Import Mission, export filled out Data Card) To convert those files, you can use KneeBoardBuilder Hope it helps
  24. The entire mechanism if possible. :music_whistling: Thanks, and if you decide to share it, no hurry :smilewink:
  25. Thanks :) Yeah, fabricated the same way. Didnt want to convert everything into Kicad just to adapt some nets. If you have an updated schematics with the changes, that would be great. But no hurry. School starts again next week and my free time will be limited.
