Well, the first versions were modified OH-6 from the national guard. I think the current version should be the A/MH-6M (Could be outdated already. Stopped reading about them). New airframe, new engine, 6-bladed main rotor, 4-bladed tail rotor, glass cockpit, head mounted cueing system, new FLIR Pod, new defence system, M-134, Gau-19, 7rd & 19rd Rocket Pods. All of those systems would need proper simulations to be fit deemed doable by ED or 3rd party devs. And those documents would need to be official declassified or provided by the airframe manufacturer.

Would be a instant purchase. For sure. Love those littlebirds and flown them a lot in Arma 3. But I think it's highly unlikely. And since the AH, MH variants are only used by 160th SOAR, the available informations are not accurate anyway to meet the ED requirements. A mod might be more reasonable. There are a lot of models for those available (Example: ARMA 3 -> MELB Mod). Not sure how well rotary aircrafts can be implemented as mods. :music_whistling:

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
Gruman replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
Well, the VRK is usable without any game loaded. Currently SteamVR is all that is required. AFAIK Oculus will be the same with some restrictions (DX11, 64Bit). So if XPlane 11 is ran within SteamVR it should work without issues. If its ran with the restrictions above, it should work on Oculus as well. But download VRK, run it with SteamVR and XPlane and test it out. You don't need a tablet to test the basic function (Writing and gestures are missing ofc). -
+1 And please make it the same for all planes... (A-10C, F/A-18C, F-16C including 3rd party). No need for the data cartridge or a kneeboard function. Its a mechanical process which needs to be accessible everytime you are at a friendly airbase. -> Rearm window. Thanks :smartass:

Awesome :thumbup::pilotfly: -
The fixed axis was posted on the patchnotes?! Or did you mean something else with your statement?

Are you starting the updater.exe or dcs.exe? Check your shortcut. Other way to force it would be via command line or simply by using Skazilla's Tool.

Yes, at this moment. But... as written 5 post above: -
What does the tracking say? From Austria to Switzerland it took 2 days.

OH-58D Kiowa cyclic grip for DCS
Gruman replied to BaD CrC's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just saying... DeltaSim here on the forum, who made the Slew Replacement for the Warthog trottle, made an adapter to get those mini transducer to work. You could contact him. I have one of those in my Throttle. Or send me a PM with a price... Maybe we can have a deal :D But in the end, you will have to supply it with the correct voltage (probably 5VDC - GND). Then depending on the direction and force you will get an output voltage on the 4 output wires. This output voltage can easely be increased by any OPAMP with the propper resistors applied. -
Would be great if ED could change the Field of View for the NOD's/NVG/Goggles while in VR. Just let us peek below it, like all the 2d Simmers and real pilots are able to do... Mods have done it, so just CopyPaste those values and we would be good to go. Is there a workarround for the time beeing? Any MP compatible NVG Mod? All available I've found so far conflicted with the Integrity Checks. Thanks

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
Gruman replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
Well, I disagree. It's more 1:1 to a normal kneeboard, so it makes using it easier. I really like my wacom intuos medium tablet. The software is running really well. Only Program I have is SteamVR. A bit a hassle to start it up and the performance is just worse , so I really looking forward to the Oculus implementation :pilotfly:. Will there be any drawbacks/Shortcommings in the Oculus implementation? Maybe some function you cannot get to work within Oculus? Do you have an estimated timeframe? (Weeks, Months?) Would like to know if I should tweak SteamVR a bit more or just wait. :D Thanks -
My DCS works nice with the Rift S. Exactly the same as the CV1 did. But I had a clean install. Did you open Oculus and checked if your RiftS is ready to be used? Are your Rift S Drivers updated (Check Oculus Home / Device)? Are you allowing Oculus Home to run 3rd party apps? Are you getting a homescreen in the rift S? Are you using the --force_enable_VR command on your shortcut (->pointing to dcs.exe not updater.exe) If nothing works, go to Oculus, revert the software. It will download couple GB and reinstall everything.

And I doubt that that the In-House VOIP will support external users for Human GCI/AWACS/ATC operations.

Hi Hollywood, Quick question. In the manual, there are a lot of references to VoiceAttack and Administrator reights (--> elevated priviledges) I know how to handle it. I could disable UAC I could change the shortcut I could use tools which automates the step mentioned above I could autostart a Bat file, which Voice Attack with elevated priviledges I could autostart it with highest priviledges It's just simply anoying. Is this still required? If it is, any chance this requirement will be removed in the future? Or is it only required if we need to update? If it is required: What else should be ran as Admin? (example: DCS, SRS, etc) Thank for this awesome tool

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
Gruman replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hmm, I received plenty of Double Sided Tape , Couple zip ties and a cable holder (with double sided tape) with my order. Did you doublechecked the shipping container? Maybe it was stuck to the top or similar. Maybe it was simply forgotton or lost while in customs. I replaced the double sided tape with 3M Dual Lock (Industrial Velcro), so I can free the RiftS Camera. Way better stability than the supplied double sided tape as well. Just cover the whole bottom of the HMS with it. Then apply enough of the dual lock / velcro arround the top camera.- 3421 replies

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
Gruman replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
Hey Rider. Just to be sure, the native oculus implemention won't be in the next version, right? Focus control is great as well. Thank for your time to develop this. -
Could you describe this a bit more? Do you just select the manual Radio Panel (For the FC3 Aircrafts) and select the same frequency?
-
Do you have issues with your buttons or do you just want to do this as a preemptive measure? Which buttons do you want to service? Just the buttons or the 4/8-Way switch? If you dont have any issues: Just use the stick. I got my Warthog since it came out and never had a button fail on me. And if they did fail, I rather trying contacting Thrustmaster for replacement parts than trying to get any of that liquid into the enclosed contacts of the buttons. Contact spray's might help for a short duration, but there is always residue from cleaning liquids. Those will, in the long run, create more problems than they help.

Nothing surprising about having milestone in a Project. But should they be released barebone to the playerbase? Up to ED. I don't mind, just let me mute/disable it, since I don't want to hear 30 guys at the same time everytime I go into a public server. User created groups are a bit more usable, but there is still better alternatives out there. So until ED has a stable, frequency based, encryption enabled (BluFor/Redfor) solution, I stick to the "old" trusty SRS which was developed/supported for years and released as freeware to the community.

I have a stick base which is probably never used again. Where are you from? What would you pay for a second hand Warthog Base (Working condition of course)?

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
Gruman replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey Miles. Great to hear. Just checking: The 6 Aux buttons will be DX buttons first, right? Free assignment within DCS Controller Menu? Any additional coding is optional? Just asking, because assigning fixed combos / makros would make the buttons less flexible for the individual needs of the pilots :music_whistling:- 3421 replies

Wags last comment on the AMA on Mudspike: SRS is great and an integration would have saved some time (and already Stage3 ready...), but they decided against it. Their product, their choice. Maybe the Devs of those 3rd party mods simply didnt want to? Who knows. Development is already in progress and from what it seems a stage 1 release should be coming Soon™ (two weeks :smartass:).

There are multiple alternative to TrackClipPro. Worth to check them out.
