Northern Israel / Southern Lebanon detail removed
Snoopy replied to Flying Toaster's topic in Bugs and Problems
If that part of the map that had detail removed was because of contractual stuff it IS ED’s failure to know what was in Ugra’s contract when negotiating this maps contract. Ironically Ugra expanded the Syria map south AFTER Sinai was released. I also don’t see how Sinai having that part of the map in high detail would take away from Syria sales even if it eventually had a few airbases added. One map goes deep to the north the other to the south. And IIRC when originally release it was mentioned that some airfields in the now low detail area would likely be added (I may not be remembering correctly). at the end of the day it’s another communication failure in the DCS ecosystem that frustrates me the most and it’s another example of me losing faith in the ED and 3rd party ecosystem.- 264 replies

Huge foul IMO and to do it without even giving folks warning is even worse. I try to stay positive lately but this and other “issues” are ridiculous. -

100% agree -
Not just pilots I reported that as a bug back in 2011 (ish) when I was still testing for ED. Their argument was they believe when hydraulic power is gone they would droop down (which is not accurate).

Thank you, great info if someone bases their mission on 2009 operations.

Noticed similar last night, general symbology was okay but my wingman's wasn't as bright as it use to be hard occasionally hard to see.

on the HMCS as well.

17 plus years A-10 crew chief experience so my post was based on 17 years launching, fixing, recovering, and managing the flight line and hours of conversation with ops. Out of all the hours talking with ops you often get answered that aren’t the same when talking to different pilots. Like I said a low weight A-10 maybe but normal ops not in my experience. Take it or leave it. PS…ED coding missing HMCS or TAD symbology would be a much better value than this IMO.

fixed [ALREADY REPORTED]HMCS blurred by cockpit shen using NVGs
Snoopy replied to EasyEB's topic in Bugs and Problems
yes we should -
The A-10 absolutely can not maintain taxi speeds at idle. She can creep slowly at idle depending on the aircraft weight and the slop of the ground but to say she can taxi at idle is wrong. Nope

Using Google Earth you can adjust the date to see what is located where. If you change the dates (5/2010 through 9/2019) you if you zoom in you can see here Blackhawks, Chinooks, A-10s, KC-135s and other airframes are located.

Open Letter and Plea to Eagle Dynamics (range of max. LoD)
Snoopy replied to Hiob's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Impacts looking through the TGP as well would be nice at least to have buildings and vegetation appear in the TGP and not magically pop up as you get closer as well. -
Looking forward to it!!

Already said the same based on first hand real world experience and @NineLine said he would talk with the team right above your post. -
reported Datalink doesn’t work since last update
Snoopy replied to Seether1980's topic in Bugs and Problems
It's a weird bug, my last flight it was fine for during launch and the initial portion of the flight but halfway through the flight lost them on HMCS but could still see them on the TAD. Not sure who is providing that info but that isn't correct. Can't share the actual document due to ITAR but it does work on the ground and we often work redballs (maintenance while the pilot is in the seat during launches) and blueballs (maintenance while the pilot is in the seat during recoveries) specific to the Tactical Data Network issues. -

MP last night network setup correctly could see both of my wingmen (clients) fine on the TAD but not in the HMCS. Track was to long to share will try to get a shorter one this week. -

I would also think creating two levels of detail for models would be double the work but maybe I’m not understanding how ED is doing this stuff. -

Sure hope the save game feature works in MP. Something as “simple” as the mission is saved when the last client exits the server would be great. -
Al Jaber AB, Kuwait was a key base post Desert Storm, during the second Iraq War & during Operation Inherent Resolve...if the base is not included in the map that will be a huge mistake IMO.

Will there be any updates to Nedava ?
Snoopy replied to Raviar's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Wags mentioned in an interview earlier this week they "hope" to update the NTTR map someday to the latest map tech but the map team is busy with other maps. Sorry don't recall the timestamp. -
Bug? A-10C still impossible to trim for level flight
Snoopy replied to Fred00's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
Having flown the real world sim at Moody and Whiteman and talked to multiple pilots over the years even the real jet requires trim often.
