  1. Further question: when I use hud/hmd as SOI and select a point on the ground, why doesn't the TPG slew to it?
  2. Weirdly, I find the F-16 much less clunky than the Hornet. You kust point your SOI at something and shoot. The TPG doesn't even seem to follow an HMD POI in the Hornet (or is that a bug?).
  3. This is exactly what I'm talking about. I shouldn't have to do all that to trick the game and use more compute power. They should have tested 1440p. I will give it a try later maybe. Wanna try some other games. Maybe, lol, I'm weird about what holds my attention . Does that also fix the motion blur?
  4. Upgraded to a 4070 and there's definitely something missing AA wise. Cockpit still isn't quite as clear as it should be and there's a bit of blurring in the cockpit and especially with anything that moves. Yes I played with sharpening etc. there's also that weird fade effect with MFD's. It actually makes the radar sweep line on the Hornet radar MFD blur badly. I'm kinda getting used to it but it's still annoying. I'm running 1440p on a 144Hz G Sync monitor. What would be causing the blurring? Should I enable V Sync in game? It's basically like the frames blend from one to the next. There's a "response time" setting of some kind in my monitor. Try that? It seems like a rendering thing though. 144fps though. Never dreamed of a number like that. The 4070 barely warms up and it's only a dual fan crammed in an ITC case. Good times. Edit:v no, it's not a v sync or adaptive response rate thing. Basically the DLSS creates a motion blur because there's some kind of latency in the rendering.
  5. Talk on SRS/Voice. I have no love for Discord or needing yet another app. It's a flight sim, use the radio.
  6. Does DCS not use inheritance? In Arma, you could just inherit the control window but have it be a mod. You have to edit core files to make this work? Most of the control windows besides the A4 mod are too small and hard to use anyway. It's like the UI part of this game was made for 1080p (it seems like it's still a 1024 holdover) or less and the 3D part of this game was made for 4k and any of us sitting here with 1440p are screwed. I make the text/UI bigger and it looks like garbage and cut off letters. Controls indicator stays a tiny little thing, 3D graphics and cockpits? Blurry. Still blurry with my 4070 and DLSS. Arma base code goes back to like 2000, but you know what they put in? Adjustable UI sizes that don't suck. Among other things that work.
  7. I really like how respawn on carriers is STILL broken.
  8. NV is still pretty worthless in this game unless it's just before dawn. It mostly just changes stuff to a green tint and makes it hard to see, and there's a huge black ring cause an enormous blind spot. I should at least be able to better see the carrier when landing at night, but not really.
  9. Anyway... What really bothers me about the aim-9's not tracking is that the Russian heaters seem far more immune to flairs. So mine will miss and theirs almost never do. Really frustrating. And there's no way the AIM-9X sucks in meat space as hard as it started to a few patches ago in DCS.
  10. Also, the AA still sucks if you have an older card and are running 1440p. Although I just ordered a 4070 so maybe that won't matter anymore.
  11. It's a throttle controller you can buy, that's all. Microphone test still makes nightmare buzzing noise over here, but that's for the other fixes.

  14. Was just watching this video and gonna ask a similar question. Too bad FFB sticks never really went anywhere major. This would be perfect for it.
  15. TAA without upscaling and a lot of sharpening looks ok, but also very blurry.
  16. Which we can't do right now and ED said they have a fix, but they haven't pushed it out.
  17. You DO need to allign the HMD from a cold start.
  18. Something is up with the TGP. In AA or NAV mode it still points at the last location you had it pointing to in AG, so if you don't TMS down before changing modes, it shows a steerpoint where the TGP is pointing, not where it is. Also in AA mode, it try to point at the steerpoint. I'll try getting a track going.
  19. Please please please push the fix out, even if it's all you push out.
  20. Oh, right. I remembered why I wasn't using upscaling after trying it: cockpit screens have a weird transition: change mfd screens? They fade from 1 to the other. Punching in numbers? They fade in. It like when I first learned to use PowerPoint in 1997. Would/should changing to "1024 every frame" for the MFD setting in graphics settings do anything about that? Are you guys working on higher rez cockpit displaces? Again, things are just downright illegible.
  21. I forgot enable changes the Maverick mode. Does it work for other weapons too? I know it is for slewing Sidewinders with my head. It doesn't seem to do anything with AMRAAMs. Does it swap VIS and PRE with GPS guided weapons?
  22. You have to not be locked or trying to lock to something to change Maverick modes. The f18 is fussy in different ways.
