[UNIT EMBLEMS] Battle of Normandy Project
SOLIDKREATE replied to SOLIDKREATE's topic in DCS: Normandy 2.0
I’m talking about the vector artwork. It belongs to me and not 1C. I know the OG design belongs to the UK just like the roundel does. -
Here is a project I did a long time ago for IL-2's career mode. It is all the unit emblems. If you were curious about which squadron to start, this is a resource you can browse. *This is my intellectual property, so don't worry. Other RAF / RAAF / RCAF emblems I have made A localized close-up view of RCAF No.441 SQN.

I can't wait until I can buy this module. I think it is the most beautiful plane in the entire SIM.

DCS: WWII Assets Pack - B-17G Livery Competition
SOLIDKREATE replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Looking good everyone. The good thing there are no losers in this competion. We will get top notch quality skins. I just want mine to make it in is all. -
Yes you are coprrect: "The F-5C was the designation given to the modified F-5A's that were sent to Southeast Asia during the mid-60's for the Skoshi Tiger program, a combat evaluation of the F-5 in Vietnam. The name is a corruption of "Sukoshi Tiger" (Japanese for "Little Tiger"). The Skoshi Tiger Program was originally known as the Sparrow Hawk Program. Project Sparrow Hawk at Eglin AFB, Florida had proven that the F-5 was a capable fighter-bomber. The primary modification from the F-5A was the addition of an in-flight refueling [IFR] probe to the F-5C.". https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/f-5c.htm

I think it would be cool if they could somehow merge ArmA with this game.
-
Yeah the 'Skoshi Tigers' would be cool but they only made 12 of them and I do not know if alot of data exists. I'm thinking for packs, so to speak, as this: F-5A Freedom Fighter (there's quite a bit of differences from the E). NF-5A (Subtle differences, like swapable wing tanks for AIM-9 racks and ECM). F-5E Tiger III (as used by the Chilean AF / Brazilian F-5EM). F-5TH Super Tigris (can carry Python-4, AGM-65, Shrikes and much more.). - https://thaimilitaryandasianregion.wordpress.com/2016/06/05/f-5e-tiger-ii-f-5t-tigris-of-the-royal-thai-air-force/ I think these will cover most of the conflicts we have maps for.

I'm just inspecting the .lua for the mosquito to see how a twin engine is done. I've also been gathering data on the R-2800/71. I'd like to be able to make a MOD for this plane however I have a lot to learn. I'd also have to fly out there and record sounds and what not. Or pay someone down there to do it (Pros). I also have to get a 3DS Max license which I found for $305/yr. I wish we could use CAD because that is where my skillset is. I use CREO Professionally along with ANSYS. I am a tooling Designer for Rocket engines. I have quite a bit of info on both variants of the plane (B/K). I'm sure I need more than I have. If the guy who's making the Su-22 can teach himself all he has, why not me?
-
Oh you are he, the guy who gave the interview about Special K?
-
Thank you good Sir!

Hello, Can someone tell me where the Model Viewer is? It is not in the BIN sub folder anymore. I am using the Open Beta version. It use dto be there.

DCS: WWII Assets Pack - B-17G Livery Competition
SOLIDKREATE replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I'll be making "Wee-Willie" B-17G-15-BO, LG-W, 42-31333, 322nd BS, 91st BG(H), 8th AF "The Mighty Eigth". At first I thought I'd try and find the most complicated, prettiest livery to make. I have decided instead to make this aircraft. After reading about the brave souls who were lost aboard her on April 8th, 1945, I feel compelled to paint her. I got a little choked up when I was reading their fate. She did 127 missions and during research I found out she was in one of the most iconic photos of the time. It is a sad one to look at but there we are. The last mission, 128, was when they all perished. "Wee Willie was the oldest B-17G still in service with the 91st Bomb Group, and the next to last B-17 lost to enemy action by the group before cessation of hostilities. The War in Europe came to an end with the unconditional surrender of Germany just 30 days later, 7 May 1945." - Bryan Swopes RIP Brothers, we have the watch. 1st Lieutenant Robert E. Fuller, O-774609, California. Aircraft Commander/Pilot—Prisoner of War 2nd Lieutenant Woodrow A. Lien, O-778858, Montana. Co-pilot—Killed in Action Technical Sergeant Francis J. I can't wait for this one. I'm also grabbing the Corsair as well. I want to get all of the Naval planes. So, I still need the F-14A/B, F-4B/C and the A-7J when it comes out.

I’d like to see sub variants like the F-5A and F-5C.
-
Still waiting guys. I messaged them to see what my order status was. I think we will need the Fire Control Manuals and any Gunnery manuals this bird has as well.

Not really the A-26B can do simulated ops in the Marians map.
-
-
Well, then we need them
-
Razors were in Normandy in 1944 as well. Thy'd be a really great fit for the time period and war simulation for us.
-
:BUMP: for more boom-boom.
-
I'd like to request the last variant of the jug line (F-47 was just a re-des) the P-47N-25-RE of the Pacific theatre. With the coming F4U-1d Corsair and the F6F-3 Hellcat, I think this would be prudent. I'd also add in some AI only Ki-61's, 84's and some A6M5's as assets we can shoot down over the water.
