    Ideal would be, if another 3rd party dev like Heatblur took over the modules and its rights. I also want to keep my M2000, it's a fun module to fly. But this is all wishful thinking... If we are lucky, the new discussion and pressure on RB/ED will bring some new results.

    Diverting time and ressources from other projects just to replace these aircraft doesn't seem right. ED seems to be overburdened already with their stuff. It would be much easier, if RB just continued the support.

    I can recommend doing dogfights against AI close to the ground (1500ft. starting height agl) as this will prevent them from going ballistic and simply entering stupid spirals.

    I don't know why ED or someone doesn't make a AH-1. At some point I just hope they buy such great community mods as yours and make a module out of it.

    It just took me 5 minutes just to open the game after I clicked on the launch button. What is going on guys.

    I agree in principle. What you could do is get the 1080ti AND also test the 2060 from your daughter just for comparison. The 1080ti might be able to push 4x MSAA in 1080p, while the 2060 will be able to utilize DLAA. Then you can compare how it looks and decide. You will always be able to sell the 1080ti if you don't like it. It is probably THE best graphics card ever made if you look at the price/performance ratio and the durability.

    I'm currently using a GTX 1080, which is sufficient for medium to high settings at 2K. But get 32GB of RAM and a good SSD, that's rather important for DCS. Also I want to add, that DLSS/DLAA, etc. is only available from 2xxx+ cards, so if you can get a 2060/2070/2080, maybe even 3060, that will make a big difference for not so much more money. Because MSAA sucks in DCS right now.

    To learn the MIG-29 after the Ukraine war started was the reason I got into DCS. The FC3 was fun for sure, but this is gonna be a whole new level. Really looking forward to it!

    You can already see that there are more used cards like the 3060ti or 3070 on the market after the launch, but the prices are not coming down. Probably reasonable to wait a few months. Unless there will be some tariffs shenanigans...

    Any modern redfor aircraft would be vastly popular given that we only have FC3 stuff right now, no doubt. I think the "green light" is more a political problem with the licensing. Solving the Razbam issue seems more likely than solving licensing issues with Ruzzia.

    Breisgau und Freiburg sind noch drinnen. Die Schwäbische Alb, Bodensee, Allgäu und weite Teile Bayerns leider nicht. Kommt aber vielleicht irgendwann.

    It's gonna be hard to model every city in Germany to detail. There are already sooo many details in the map, it's crazy how they managed to do that. I was born in Berlin, so yeah its not that accurate. But you do recognize many spots and that it's Berlin in general. There will also be a lot of errors due to the time they chose. Data from that area is not as detailed and accurate as data from today. I mean black and white photos were still the main thing in the early 80s. It will be impossible to create everything from such old photos, videos, etc. I'm a perfectionist but I don't see how you would ever finish this huge map if you wanted to get every detail right.

    The German map coming this month will gladly bring new life into DCS, probably along with the dynamic campaign or whatever it is @BIGNEWY means with the "long await core feature".

    Bug fixes are very important, but at same time you want something new to experience. Otherwise it's getting rather boring doing the same thing over and over again. That has been missing for some time now. I think it's what OP wanted to say. Also the expectations are high with lots of stuff promised to come.

    I know you want to stay positive, but I don't like this constant hopium. It's very misleading in my opinion. Nothing has happened in the last 12 months that benefitted customers (regarding this incident). It's time for some realism...

    Very easy, RB does not see any way to resolve this dispute in the near future and they also don't want ED to keep collecting the money without paying them. So the chances of a resolution are shrinking once again. By the time RB gets back, if ever, the modules will be unfinished, maybe broken and old compared to the newer modules in DCS. It's still possible to have fun with the modules right now, but unfortunately they will likely not have a very long future. It's unlikely RB would spend the already lost year of development on those old, already sold modules instead of working on something new.
