  1. I have a feeling it is. People ran the beta alongside their installations, and I'm sure others keep older, stable versions alongside the current release. Not tried it myself though, so don't quote me!
  2. I would try installing DCS on one of your other HD's (not the SSD) and launch from there, just to rule out the drive. (I'm not saying it's faulty, it's just a process of elimination).
  3. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=93477&highlight=Occulus Try reading through this first... Edit: Whoa, way too slow! :)
  4. This thread seems to have gone entirely off topic; it was never about TrackIR... Anyway, glad the OP resolved his issue.
  5. Shame it'll be the early hours of Friday morning in the UK, or I'd be in.
  6. Nice. Count me in.
  7. I know, we're a tough crowd. P.S. Is it done yet? :)
  8. It may seem that way to those of us that own a head tracking device, myself included, but people obviously cope just as well without (see above).
  9. Ha ha, maybe. I shall hunt him down on the virtual online battlefield, and tip my wing to him! :)
  10. Sounds like you've accidentally saved your default view. Try this: Originally Posted by PeterP What you need to do to get to your wished/old view : (BTW - this is also explained in the first post - maybe not as detailed like what follows - but the info is there ...) 1. Go into DCS World>>Options>>Misc. > Check "Enable User Snap-View Saving" 2. load a mission. 3 . disable/pause your trackir 4. hit once "NumEnter" Default FOV aka Zoom and "Num5" Cockpit Camera Move Center 5.now use"Num/ - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Back until the HUD fills the space to your liking. 6. Fine adjust it with "Num2 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Down "Num8 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Up "Num* - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Forward "Num8" Turn Cockpit Camera Up "Num2" Turn Cockpit Camera Down "Num/" FOV- aka Zoom-in "Num*" FOV+ aka Zoom-out 7.Once you are satisfied - hit "RAlt+Num0" to Save current Cockpit view as default for this vehicle. 8.enable your TrackIr again.
  11. Surely 0% is better than 100%? :) This just shows the status of your own warning logs, you won't see anyone elses. I see Warn 0% under my status too.
  12. Ah yes, spent a good amount of time on Fighter Bomber, until my 1 meg upgrade decided to pack up. :(
  13. Why did nobody tell me about this!? This has got to be the single greatest fix in the history of DCS! (Okay, perhaps I exaggerate but seriously, this has been bugging me for a very long time!). Thank you so so much Kuky :notworthy:
  14. I guess the first sim that I kept going back to was F19 Stealth Fighter on the Atari ST. I loved the randomly generated missions and the mission debriefings that tracked your entire flight path along with all the mission events.
  15. And quoted himself...
  16. Yep, hate it when people do that! I guess when people say "fixed it" but don't say how, it means it was an embarrassing "user error" and they'd rather not say; maybe the game was just paused. :)
  17. Dude, was that like some 3 year old thread bump? Weird...
  18. Just need to recreate the folder structure of where the files are supposed to go. It really is simple to make any mod JSGME ready :) Edit: with JSGME I'm currently using HD Hog and Shark (blue) pits, BS backup ADI fix, NVG mod, Improved Clouds and Sky, Darker cloud shadows, Towns and Villages mod (incorporates Low and Slow textures), PeterP's viewport export files, Green Shkval, SweetFX...
  19. Have you considered head tracking? I know you're not using TrackIR, and it is expensive, but if you've got a webcam you can always give FaceTrackNoIR or FreeTrack a go (I'm not sure which is more up to date/less buggy).
  20. I recently installed 7.0.something on my computer (Windows 7 x64) and it worked okay. I'll check the version when I'm at my computer. Did you run the installer and then plug your controller in at the prompt? Did it freeze or just crash?
  21. Nice flying, good work. Thumbs up for the VA Server too, the best non-combat server out there!
  22. Okay, thanks. I gotta say Highwayman, I am liking your version, good work! I did try Foxbeard's terrain last night and didn't get on with it; I prefer something that looks less like satellite imagery and more like, well, terrain (like your Towns and Villages, or Toby23's Low n Slow). Maybe that's because I tend to be down low in the Shark, not up with the jets. Might give your linked version a go though. Thanks.
  23. That's not entirely true either...
  24. No, need to disengage for AP functions to work.
