Rise of Flight lets you start a recording mid-flight, for as long as you like, and you can later fast forward and rewind that track to your hearts content, with zero issues (that I've ever encountered). I wish DCS had this system, as it's so much easier to make videos this way.

I quite liked the russian accented english, made me feel like they were speaking russian but I could understand it! Prefer russian written language in the shark pit though.

I agree. Didn't realise that 3 of the planes would be free, and I already own the P51, so... As much as I want to back the project, the $87 I pledged now seems like a lot when the incentive is only a couple of free books. Edit: Yeah, I might do what Ron says above; to be honest, I'm already tempted to lower my pledge and wait for the free version (free Spitfire!) but that sort of attitude doesn't get kickstarter projects off the ground!

Yes, I think I read somewhere on this board that if you start the right engine first (RCtrl+Home) the left engine won't fully start up.

As others have said, the Shark is pretty easy to get up in the air and start shooting at bad guys. Although more detailed than the FC3 aircraft, the basic systems you'll need are all quickly and easily learnt, and it is definitely simpler than the Hog; that and it's a helluva lot of fun!

Not sure what to suggest I'm afraid. AS I say, mine installed from disk without a problem, on Windows 7. Sorry. Edit: What about browsing to the installer executable, rather than trying to run it from the menu?

This is the sort of thing that really annoys me and disappoints me about ED; a simple fix that hasn't been included in the patches. Don't neglect our Shark ED! :-) Thanks for the fix Falcon!

Have you tried running as administrator and running in compatibility mode? I have Windows 7 x64 too and installed Lomac without a problem.

What are your computer specs and Windows version?

There is a key command which enables automatic switching to missile view when you fire, I forgets what it is though. Edit: Think it's Right Ctrl + Numpad Plus. This toggles the automatic view change on fire.

Yes, sorry, by standalone I assumed you meant "not bought on Steam". Edit: I see, OP bought his on Steam, triple2006 bought his from DCS e-shop; different issues.

You can't use your standalone key to activate the Steam version.
