FPS cut by half doesn't sound right at all, I'm sure this isn't the patch at fault.

Can I ask what you do with your MFD's, beyond their plug and play functionality? Sounds like I'm missing out with mine.

You can get the mfcd's or Abris and Shkval to show up on your primary monitor, yes. I was already exporting these to my secondary monitor, so adding the Cougar mfd's was little extra effort. I use velcro stuck to my monitor bezel to attach them and make them removable.

I've attached them to my old 22 inch monitor, and exported the mfcd displays to the top left and right corners. Works really well. I say get them; I certainly don't regret buying them.

Do you have a Windows backup of the "bin" folder, where the updater resides (i.e can you "restore previous version")? If you can restore it, try running again after disabling antivirus software, notably BitDefender.

Is this why ED stopped the updates? It took 3 or 4 pages before people started to criticise and speculate, and the last 4 pages have been worthless arguements... :surrender:

While you're at it, browse to here: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\ARCADE And rename "arcade_template_hud.lua", which should remove those Game mode icons. If it doesn't, there should be a line in the file you can edit that will turn them off. Edit: just noticed in the file "arcade_indicator.lua" are these liness: Removing the render-purpose might remove the icons in that particular view too (e.g. delete "render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_INSIDE_COCKPIT" to remove icons when in cockpit view.

Looks like it's called "SHKVAL_init.lua" and can be found here: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\SHKVAL\ Remember to use Notepad++ to edit (not regular Notepad). I think you need to change these lines: Either change "render_target_always = true" to false, or delete "render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_OUTSIDE_COCKPIT". Give that a go.

You used to be able to do it like this: Paths may have changed but you get the idea (note, this is for A10 but should be similar for Ka50). I can look it up when I'm back at my computer.

I don't own the X55 but I do have an X52 Pro and you can physically disable the twist on that. Don't forget that you can always disable the twist by removing the assignment of yaw within the DCS controls configuration.

Turn on/off civilian traffic and see how much it affects your framerate, then multiply by people and animals. I'm all for extra details but some things simply can't be done at the moment, due to hardware limitations.

Flying the A-10C online the other night and the game froze when I switched to external view. Anyway, brought up Task Manager and noticed RAM usage for DCS was steadily increasing every second; I watched it go up to 3 gig before I quit the process.

I set up bands (as mentioned above) so that the top and bottom 5% of the slider map to extend/retract airbrakes and the middle 90% is a deadzone. This helps prevent accidently leaving the slider in a position where it keeps sending a command.

I got myself all set up on TS but never use it. I guess it's a case of wanting to get involved, mixed with that apprehension of the unfamiliar and meeting new people. Seems silly, I know.

Yes, you can't trust the replay tracks. Sometimes they work, more often than not they become wildly inaccurate, the longer they run.
