The link to the webpage is in the post. Look in the service section. -
Will next WWII aircraft module made by ED be released in 2022?
_Hoss replied to dcn's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Although I'd pay for a P-38 without hesitation, there is a place for it on the ETO maps. And actual opposition planes with breathers to fly against. Hoss -

Next plane is probably going to be the F4U. Corsair. Hoss -
Ditto, main reason I won't fly the Jug in low light missions. Hoss

Instrumented Range: https://www.radartutorial.eu/01.basics/rb69.en.html The instrumented range is the maximum range of a radar in which echo signals can be displayed. It is not a measure of the actual range of the radar or its probability of detection. In most cases, the instrumented range is equal to the largest possible scale that can be set on the displays. An instrumented range is determined by construction based on three conditions: The actual maximum range of a radar depends once on the energetic limitation of the detection range and is subject to very many influences considered in the radar equation. An instrumented range should be larger than this energetic range so that all existing echo signals can be displayed. On the other hand, the temporal conditions must also fit, so that no ambiguities occur which could lead to misinterpretations. Echo signals received outside the pulse period would result in overreaches that are displayed as interference at an incorrect range. However, the instrumented range should also be less than or at most equal to the distance corresponding to the receiving time, because otherwise a second transmit pulse would be seen as a full circle on the displays. The instrumented range should therefore be technically dimensioned somewhat larger than these conditions specify. In addition, other conditions may also act. Maximum Unambiguous Range: https://www.radartutorial.eu/01.basics/Maximum Unambiguous Range.en.html The maximum unambiguous range (Rmax) is the longest range to which a transmitted pulse can travel out to and back again between consecutive transmitted pulses. In other words, Rmax is the maximum distance radar energy can travel round trip between pulses and still produce reliable information. The relationship between the PRF or their reciprocal value inter pulse period T (PRT) and Rmax determines the unambiguous range of the radar. Suppose the radar emits a pulse that strikes a target and returns to the radar in round trip time t: If t < T then the return signal arrives before the next pulse has been emitted. If t = T then the return signal arrives exactly when the next pulse has been emitted. If t > T then the return signal arrives after the next pulse has been emitted and there is an ambiguity, ie the radar cannot tell whether the return signal has come from the first or second pulse. The greater the pulse repetition frequency fp (in pulses per second), the shorter the pulse repetition time T (inter pulse period) and the shorter the maximum unambiguous range Rmax of the radar. Rmax must be larger than the Maximum Display Range (so-called: instrumented range). -
Get on Wolf Packs Discord channel, they have a channel to ask for help on what ever aircraft you want to fly. I can't send an invite, I'm not on my computer. Cheers Hoss

It's been a bit but I have no gun-sight reticle in the Mosquito, wasn't there before the update and still not there, it should be there in instant missions at the start, but it's not. always had it in instant action missions now it's gone. I don't see anyone else saying they are missing it, so it looks like there is some problem on my end. All other WWII planes have theirs at mission start. Cheers Hoss

Is everyone running game in Full Screen mode or no?............ I am not, I alt/tab out to look at TARGET Script and my Joy2Key settings when I'm setting up a new bird of doing final tweaks on it. I figured that was the reason for the black squares I was seeing, like ghosts of the Script window or the J2K window flashing through. Glad it's just not me.. Hoss

Which trim? Roll, Pitch, Yaw, or all three? I have flown the Mustang since the last update and it all worked for me, the Jug's too............ Hoss

Special HOTAS mapping for Pitch Alt Hold, A/P Off
_Hoss replied to Colonel Akir Nakesh's topic in Wish List
As far as I know, what you are talking about is only on the A-10's systems. I've got a TMWH, I use Sedenion's 128 button script, which incorperates the Auto Pilot modes (LASTE) and the Engage/Disengage button. I have got it mapped out so it works just like it does in the A-10. Took me about fifteen minutes to get it working, because there are other discrete signals needed from the EAC and RADAR Altimeter switches on the Throttle base, to make it work properly. RTWFM as some of my Navy instructors used to tell me LOL Good luck & Cheers Hoss -

That's the way I have it set up with TARGET script, works great. -
P47D Binding Schema bug not fixed?
_Hoss replied to vladimusmaximus's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
It's fixed in my install, all proper names, and hopefully proper functions. I did mine for the Jug last night. -
Grim Reapers YouTube channel look for JoyPro. You set Roll, Pitch, yaw, brakes, flaps, etc. once for all the planes you have in your module bag. Mod planes show up in the list too (A-4). You add a plane and it's settings will automatically be there. Good program...... Hoss

Check out Grim Reapers YouTube channel, there is an app for that, they show you where to download, install and set up.

LOL, I hear you, I think from the video I'm probably older than you. I've got an old Holiwood bedframe out in the garage, if I drug that in the house the missus would think I lost my mind after I told her what it was for. On your next iteration of your pit, figure out how to make a large Lazy Susan version....... motorized!. And take lots of pictures of the build process. Cheers mate Hoss

Yeah, I thought it was for VR at first, then I finally saw the screen. It is a nice set up. My wife would kill me if I took the bedframe to make a set up like yours. LOL Hoss

You are almost correct, but you have a better understanding of DECM than most of the other comments I have read in this post. Question: If you are in a US Navy Aircraft and you go up against a IIAF F-4 or a F-14, what are you going to do? What is the piece of gear rushed into service to decieve those RADARS? This goes back to the Gulf War between Iran and Iraq. Operation Preying Mantis April 18, 1988. We actually had IIAF F-4's come out to intercept our Airwing while we were sinking their ships. I quickly had to learn how to operationally test this piece of equipment. DECM has a memory that's called a threat library, that I.D.s all the RADAR by their finger prints it has on file, (PRF/PW) of the received signals it sees. If the DECM signal received is not in that library the repeater will put out a noise technique that is continuous, instead of a pulse for pulse deception technique (they effect range and azimuth) designed to break lock. But only when the received signal reaches a predetermined input sensitivity in the receiver. It will also turn off (stop repeating) when the signal reaches another threshold. So, just because you switch from Receive to repeat does not mean it starts repeating. I read another post on APG-63 RADAR, the guy believed the power at the antenna was 12kw..the AN/APG-65, AN/APG-73 and also the AN/ALQ-126B all have the same exact output power, and its no where near 12kw. LMAO! And I believe Karon is correct, I think you are just seeing noise from the enemy when he transmits on his DECM or ECM. ANSWER: It was the AN/DLQ-3B and it was a pod hung on the wing. I love these posts. Cheers Hoss USN ret. 77-97

_Hoss replied to GGTharos's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
Yeah.......Are you sure that's correct? Doing an FTP (Functional Test Program) on a AN/APG-65 and APG-73 RADAR I never measured 12,000 watts coming out of the Transmitter into the dummy loads, (the power of the transmitted pulse going to the antenna) the USN measures power in dbm. When you convert the dbm over to watts, it was definitely not 12kwatts. I don't know where you guys get this information from. The AN/APG-63 would never be able to handle that much power, you would have to have on hell of a step up coil between the transmitter and antenna. And those kinds of statistics on a Military RADAR weapons system are classified. Electronic Counter Measures would never be able to burn through the power of a 12,000 watt RADAR. And the cockpit would have to be sheilded, like the Prowler's was. Even though the antenna is pointed forward there would be side lobes more powerful than the actual transmitted pulse of a real APG-63.
