  1. I get a compile error.................. Runtime error: Symbol not found: A30Pilot in main (line183 in Run_Complete.tmc) The Simple also fails line 184, same script though... The file is clean, no changes made by me and I get the runtime error, I go back to 1.5 and it compiles with no errors. if(!USE_A320PILOT) Configure(&A320Pilot, MODE_EXCLUDED);
  2. I did seven cruises on three different carriers, in twenty years of service. I got my Surface Warfare pin on my last command ( I'm an Airedale) and I had to learn all about every Department aboard the ship, besides mine (AIMD) I had an OS buddy that gave me a tour of CIC and how it worked. Now, I retired in 1997 and I do not believe it has changed since then. The Arleigh Burke and Spruance class Destroyers are very capable too with the SPY-1D multifunction passive electronically scanned array radar. In fact the Ticonderoga Cruiser started out, and built on a Spruance class Hull but has a larger displacement due to weight than the Spruance. Carriers like to remain quiet electronically when operating at sea, the E-2C's and Escorts will direct Anti-Air, Ballistic Missile, and Anti-Satellite defenses, along with fighter defence and strike package directions. I believe the USS Princeton and USS Shiloh were our Tico Cruisers for the last two cruises I made on the Lincoln. When I was on the Enterprise the Vincennes shot down the Civilian Airliner in the Gulf. We had just engaged the Iranian Navy in Operation Preying Mantis on April 18, 1988. While the Lincoln was in overhaul in Bermerton, I got to go on the USS Missouri for a reenlistment ceremony and we got to go on an abbreviated tour of the ship, now that was cool. It was moored next to the USS New Jersey, the Missouri moved to Hawaii, not long after I retired where the Alpha BB (Arizona, war start) and the Omega BB (Missouri, where it ended) now sit one in front of the other. I know mission builders probably do not put a bunch of escort ships in their missions, I'm not sure how Task Force defense is handled in the Mission Editor, so I'm probably talking out my you know what. Real Life and Sim Life are not the same so how ever you get it to work I'm impressed. Cheers Hoss
  3. It's the engage/disengage function and the LASTE switch (Path/Alt-Hdg/Alt) settings. How to coordinate them with which ever A/P function from whichever module I assign those three functions too, not matter their module name (Aircraft). That's why I was asking if someone did a youtube tutorial on it. Seeing is completely understanding................................. at least for this seasoned citizens old brain.... Cheers and thanks Hoss
  4. The Autopilot script function has me confused as to how to properly implement it for A-10, F-18, F-16. Has anyone done a Youtube video of how to set that up to work properly on the control settings page, reading how someone does it is hard for me to visualize sometimes. Hoss
  5. Instead of the Carrier being an AWACS (which it doesn't do in RL) there should be a Ticonderoga class Cruiser modeled to do this seeing as how they have the most powerful RADAR in the Task Force and the OS's are trained at TOPGUN to control intercepts. Hoss
  6. I'm in CA. The Shangri La of the Left Coast, went to the tail hook at Skeeters house in Modesto, where I grew up.
  7. Well, Razor is West Coast and you know he's getting a bit little long in the tooth. Certain times of day he gets a kitchen pass ..and his Geritol....so he's ready to fly, which works out for us left coasters.
  8. Couldn't agree more, there's a lot to be desired on having things work as advertised, so you actually get what you paid for. Instead of okay, that's good let's move on to the next project we will never actually finish. And it's all our fault for buying things that are not a tested and finished product. A fool and his money.............. are easily separated......... Happy Thanksgiving to my country men and women. Hoss
  9. I'd just like to see what we have actually work as they should, and stop breaking every time there is an update. I'd like to see the RAF get some attention, seems they are the forgotten faction in this game. And played very important roles in Desert Storm in 91, and the following engagements up till the surrender of Iraq. Tornado, any variant relevant to the on hand maps Jaguar, same as above Cold War RN Carrier and relevant aircraft. GB sometimes seems like an afterthought with most flight sims unless it's BoB focused............... And I'm a Yank by the way...................... of Welsh decent of course..... The Phantom is a biggie for some and is definitely needed to fill a gigantic hole from Vietnam into the 2000's with foreign Air Forces. 10. Okay guys, I have the F/A-18 and Super Carrier, starting to train on how to start the Hornet. And then how to fight with it. See ya sooner rather than later.... warn Razor............................. LOL Cheers guys Hoss
  11. Yeah, well, the F/A-18 has four R/P/Y computers running all sync'd up. Poor old P-47 only has the Mk.1 human arm and legs... LOL Cheers Hoss
  12. Every time you change RPM, you change your yaw torque, keep the TBI ball centered in level flight, when you make your turns steal a glance if the ball is left of center give it left rudder and keep it centered, and vice versa. Remembering as you change RPM it's going to change all on it's own. Keep the throttle steady, keep the speed up, watch the ball and you should have far fewer problems. Cheers Hoss
  13. They will answer you withing a day, they are very good with customer support. Like the saying goes, get it straight from the horses' mouth, not a bunch of us horses @&&#$' who may, or may not give you the correct answer. I have had nothing but good experiences with Monstertech. Cheers Hoss
  14. I'll take a screen shot and add it to the post. I used to see the Stick and the Throttle on the settings page, they are gone now, but you can see when I choose a plane I have not set up the Axis commands are all spread out. I also go in and clear DX inputs that are on Joystick v.2.04 and the Crosswinds get some as well. Those all have to be cleared before I even try to assign dx commands via sedenion's 128dx script. See what I'm talking about now?. Hoss
  15. I see all of them, plus my BlackHog on the settings screen, I always go to the top of the Stick/Throttle/BlackHog and clear all of the assignments first in Axis and then in the general settings for those three controllers. I'll set my axis on the TMWH Combined column and then set up the keypress on the combined row making sure there are no other Joy0, 1, 2, conflicts with the Joy3 (Combined) column. Then the 128 script works as advertised. I'm sure others see different things on their settings page, but the concept still applies no matter what else you have connected.
  16. Are you still a active USN AO? I worked at NAS Lemoore VFA-122's Mod for Boeing ARF. Retired the end of June. If you need help with TARGET GUI programing problems PM me. Hoss AT1 (AW/SW) USN ret 77-97
  17. There is a detachment of USMC Lightnings on board too. Hoss
  18. Tighten up the Allen screws, gets rid of the slop.

    Tie down chains

At least we won't be tripping on them in the hangar bay at night. Or smacking a trailing edge with our foreheads
  20. If they implemented he Buddy Store tank, you could also put it on a F/A-18, they did it too when needed. If built when the A-7, A-6 come out you could have it as a load out and go along and be the refueling guy on a mission. Call him, have him come to you if you are beyond Bingo............................. Hoss
  21. From what I've been reading it throttles AMD Ryzen CPU's up to 15%. MS worked with Intel on Win 11 for their new CPU's, and left AMD out of the loop.
  22. I did seven cruises in the USN from 77 to 97, on three different carriers. Any of the aircraft that could carry a Buddystore drop tank could function as a refueling platform. So the A-7, S-3, and the A-6 would perform that function with no problem. So modeling a Buddystore refueling tank is something DCS should be looking at for Carrier ops. KA-6's were what we saw the most during that time. Hoss
  23. Great group....... very knowledgeable on VUSN Carrier ops. Hoss
