But since sparks WAS mentioned, i felt compelled to mention the fact that the other night when I struck a tree in Normandy in a Spitfire, there was a shower of sparks above ground when I struck the tree. Just an observation I was sharing. My bad...maybe I just have my settings turned up to high...Ha! Or just a result of all the banging twisting metal. So I guess in retrospect, maybe it is appropriate.

The trees have grown alot in 72 years. Don’t cut or trim the trees!

Only time I see this is when taxiing too fast and too much brake. Doesn't seem an issue and surely tells you your doing something wrong. Leadfoot.

Congrats Razbam for getting the Harrier to this stage. Should be alot of fun flying this bird. I dont believe it will be too long until its available. For me the exhaust direction is such a minor thing. I certainly would not be able to see it when I am busy in the cockpit. Seems like eye candy for those that fly in the external view or observing other aircraft they are not flying. This jet will be mine the minute is becomes a available. I'm up for the challenges it will bring.

AC 130 Gunships? From this weeks Newsletter... The A-10C Tactical Training Qualification campaign puts you in the cockpit of an A-10C Warthog, and tests your ability to interact with JTACs, Airborne FACs, AC 130 Gunships and manage Close Air Support (CAS) assets. So I did not know we had AC 130 Gunships. Thats great...So what is the role and capabilities? Would be awesome if the AI AC 130 could fire on ground targets...guess that is wishlist. I would love to check this out but sadly away traveling.

True, but I did not mention Normandy as OP said it was the wrong period... But we will definitly see missions with carriers and F18s over Normandy.. Doesn't bother me, I will fly it there no problem.

Hopefully the Straight of Hormuz map will come along for the Hornet in a decent timeframe. I guess it could happen before the Hornet is available, who knows? In the mean time the Caucuses should be acceptable for Carrier Ops.

I have a new 1080ti. I have no real issues but willing to try these settings if there are benefits. Has anything changed or does the Origonal settings by the OP still stand since the latest patches?

Begs the question: just what is the performance hit, if any, with this running in the background? I like the idea of being able to switch it off since I forget about it (i.e. Folder full of track files). I never use it anyway. It is broken anyway, is it not? Anyone know if we can edit a file and disable it? Sure an on/off check box would be good if were that simple.

I have flown in and out of there a few times. The view of vegas strip landmarks (like the Luxor glass pyramid) from mccarran runway is pretty accurate.

So its possible we may have 3 maps in 2.xx before the merge? That would take some of the pain away waiting for the Black Sea map to come over... Yeah pure speculation...

Cool... so seems like a probable order could be Black Sea Map>2.5 Unfication>F18>SoH>P47....with Normandy optimizations and asset pack adds along the way.

Interesting definition of "Close": Being on the brink of: close to tears.

The Inatech card with 5 ports works perfectly with the rift. Oculus tested and recommends this little card for a reason. You will need the high throughput ports. Motherboard ports probably wont get it done and will most likely lead to frustration when setting it up. Make it easy on yourself and Get it right the first time.

Winding down to the end of 2017...some news on the map would be welcomed...Silence is not Always Golden. There is so much in the pipeline, the immediate future seems cluttered and unclear. Yeah sure its coming...all that good stuff.
