Same here in VR...usually after 3rd visit to map. After a brief hang, DCS will shut down with no messages like it was never running. 2.1

Sure wish we could have two client players in the Huey. At least a client pilot and a client door gunner with the ability to switch from left to right door guns on the fly. Cuuld it be dev is waiting for the merge or have they just lost sight of this feature?

Once you do get out and if you want to walk around, it is just too cumbersome to control and way to slow. It would be cool if you could jog or run with more fluid control. Also, better animations would help. It would also be cool if you could walk/run over to and enter a vehicle at that point and drive around the base or countryside. I could see value in this type of improvement when we are able to walk around on the carrier, that is, if that is to be a thing which has been vaguely implied for the new carriers. Ah the wishlist...

The critics raved about it in the US. Saying it was great. I should have known better..I never agree with the critics. If they hate it I love it...if they like it I usually find it lacking. Obviously, someone pays them. I found Dunkirk disappointing. Bordering on boring. The Dunkirk story deserves much better. However, some of the Spitfire footage was good. Would not rush out to see it in the theaters for $$$. it will eventually come out on cable.

Wow, Just got my new rift going. Best words I can find is... it is like the Holodeck on the Star Ship Enterprise. Friend and I fooled around in VR tonight for my first run . We both just received everything needed a day apart. Played a game where we drew on each other with pistols western style. Perused some apps and entertainment stuff just familiarizing ourselves with this tech. Then it happened, i reset my perimeter for my chair and loaded DCS 2.1. It puts you in a hanger standing beside a full sized F15. Just unreal. Like you can reach out and touch it. Yeah, I tried. I went into multiplayer and flew a P51 in an escort mission. As soon as I got into the cockpit my jaw just dropped and hung open. There I am surrounded by a 3D cockpit. Stunning is all I can think of. Just stunning. Took off and just enjoyed the view outside which is not bad. I flew the waypoints at a few hundred feet taking in the scenery. The sensation of speed low over Normandy is noticeable. I had her trimmed out at 45 MP and 2700 rpms. Hands off if you want. I just cannot get over how detailed the 3d cockpit is From all the toggle switches sticking out to the springs and cables on the pedals and throttle. And just being surrounded by the pit itself. I cannot describe what we are seeing adequately. Looking out the canopy at the wing. Wow! This is a whole new ball game. This makes DCS a whole new deal for me. I cant imagine how good the F18 is going to be with the rift. I cant wait! Carrier Ops! On a side note being run down by a T-Rex was quite hair-raising. Roger...I caught myself screaming out a couple of times All this looking so good and real is uncanny and we haven't even tweaked it yet. I never dreamed of this kind of immersion. Just stunning... Hats off to ED for embracing VR. It can only get better from here. Seriously, Oculus Rift. yeah Highly recommended. Get you one. The current deal is pretty good. What cool tech. And just scratching the surface. Gonna be a fun ride. Runs great on my rig. No complaints yet! No nausea, no vertigo even with aerobatics...Yet!

I have that processor OC'd to 4.6. Just received an email from Oculus that my Rift order was processed and to be looking for my shipping/tracking info soon. Just ordered last week so not bad I'm guessing. So I will let you know how it goes if interested. I do have some system differences than what you wanted to compare. I dont expect any real problems. Rest of rig in Spoiler. And I do expect it will take some fiddling to get it as good as it can be since I am the VR Noob. Just preparing for a pukefest...heck the first time I used TIR it made me dizzy so I expect to have a tough time with VR. Honestly, I dont have a clue! Ha! I was planning to wait for the next Gen But I could not stand it any longer. Thats a loooong wait.

Took the plunge and ordered the bundle deal today...VR noob so I am going to need help with this. Already lots of info here and in the forums...I hope it is a smooth go to get it up and running...big question is..will I like it?!? It would be great if one you experts would do an FAQ with all the "tips and tricks" for us here somewhere.

May be unrelated but similar...But the "same" thing happened to me...i thought it was the Viggen but it turned out to be the P51 campaign of which I had two keys, one which was gifted and I had the wrong one in there. Just saying make sure the right keys are used. I have to say it doesnt help to be locked out from logging in because of that type error. Just adds to the confusion and frustration.

I usually fly Mp only...prefer human opponets but do fly MP vs AI when necessary. However, I will occasionally engage SP in a Campaign.

Yes and have flown the module on many occasions...this occurred with the latest patch. Any idea why this prevents logging in...in game? Strange indeed. Problem solved with the help of ED support. Came down to my own ignorance lol.

I see the same error i get "failing to read the AJS37 serial number." In my case the game loads but it will not let me log in...in game. Planning to try registry fix when I get home tomorrow.

Thanks....did not realize I had done that in the heat of the moment. I am going to try clearing it out of the registry to see if that works. I dont understand why a 3rd party module SN error would prevent you from logging into DCS In 1.5.7 And I don't understand the validation error since this is a valid key as are all my modules.

Updated to 1.5.7.7741 today. When I start it up I have the log in option and when I try to log in I can't due to Invalid Serial Number for the AJS37. I have never seen this before and have never had to login like this. Tried repair, same thing, no mods etc. Anyone else and what is the fix? 0005.216 ERROR WorldPlugIns: Failed to read serial number for 'AJS37' Edit: will try registry fix.
