  1. If its that difficult...Have one of your friends host the mission and see how that works.
  2. Guess it could happen...wouldn't that be a great surprise...
  3. Best pick another plane or you will be sitting at the Bar in the O-Club watching the rest of us flying planes that have been released.
  4. Well this is a combat simulator...i doubt the pilots fighting in 1944-1945 over Normandy thought too much or had the time to think about about the Terrain being "boring". Not sure how one can jump to this opinion without actually experiencing it first hand. From what I've seen, the map looks great. Can't wait to experience it. If you fill your glass all the way...you don't have to worry much about it being Half Empty.
  5. Dont believe we have to worry about transition from supersonic to subsonic with the P47D.
  6. Good point! So there were cases of strafing Horses in WWII. I guess strafing a dead bloated horse would make a nasty air/gas release noise. So now we have to combine the DB Whine with that?
  7. LOL! Well since Dead Horses do not make any sounds and since we don't have any (yet)...I would have to say Yes! They are correct.
  8. The OP Pic Part is a Hook Point Shoe. You can buy one online for about $125. Milage may vary. Friend of mine has one in his office that came off an F18 and it looks identical to the one pictured.
  9. @BuzzU...I feel exactly the same as U... Its the P51 for me...but I will also fly the Spit sometimes. Alot of American pilots did fly them. I do fly the Axis planes occasionally but really dont care for them. Not comfortable flying them. More of a curiosity.
  10. Amazing...really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.
  11. R.I.P.
  12. I just wish for some French Girls in the Countryside so they can console me and nurse me back to health after I get shot down.
  13. WWII Birds Low at St Barts Airshow
  14. "Late May beginning of April"? Beginning of April will be long past in late May...
  15. Nice Job...Looking good  Will be watching!
  16. I run a R9 295x2 and have never had any problems with DCSW over the last three years with any version. 1920X1080. To me, ATI cards "suffer greatly" does not compute. System is in Spoiler.
  17. Was fun when it came out. It was novelty in DCS World. Best fun I had with it was jumping in a Sam? And shooting down unsuspecting enemy pilots in multiplayer. Now that created alot of chuckling. Obviously, ED has higher priorities at the moment. Maybe one day it will get more attention.
  18. Could you post a couple of screens orig vs mod so we can see difference of what this is? Away from computer...but interested to see. Thanks
  19. No...especially when there is no description of the event...
  20. Your right, i changed one from the other before it dropped. Im getting old but still a great deal... cant beat it. Who you calling ladies anywho?
  21. Lets see, FW190, Spitfire, Normandy Map and Assets Pack for $40. I'd say that is a pretty good Kickstarter deal and well worth the wait. Thanks ED...for making it good. <S> Edit: 2 not 3 AC
  22. @Skatezilla! What a lucky kid! Just before we bombed Kadafy in Libya, I was at Kerr Reservoir on the NC/VA line. I heard a chopper in the distance getting closer and closer, louder and louder. Then at tree top directly over me came a slow B1B Lancer followed by A CH53 (I think). I could see the faces of the pilots. Also at Kerr, where I live now, F18s do bombing runs on the dam frequently. They come in pretty low. After the runs, they pull up in AB and form up over head. I see this routinely. I used to park on a road that paralled the taxi-way/runway at MBAFB and watch the A10Cs taxi, take off and land. When I lived in Long Beach, NC, the A10s would fly over the house tree top. The sound of them coming and passing by was pretty awesome. That was great until Clinton closed the base! You could do the same thing in Richmond, VA and watch the ANG do their thing in F16s. Too many air shows to talk about but one that stands out was up close to a Harrier at MCAS Cherry Point. It stole the show back then. The pilot was a young, small blonde headed "kid" and boy did I envy him. Another occasion was watching B52s doing touch and gos just west of Oklahoma City. The wingspan in slow bank is a sight to behold. Also, I was able to do a slow walk around and under a B52 close enough to touch and did. I've sat in many cockpits, P51D, F18... but can't remember them all. I'm getting old but I am planning to fly a P51 at Stallion 51 in Kissimmee, Fla. before I croak! They also have an L-39 Albatross you can ride/fly in. Get yourselves some of that!
  23. P-51D because I'm an American, and proud of it! Then the Spit, if I feel like having a "Spot of Tea" (Don't care for Crumpets) in the Briefing Room with my allies. If I feel like taking down some B-17s, I'll fly the BF 109 or the FW 190 since it would not be proper to shoot down allies in a P51 or Spit. "I have no special talents, I'm just extremely curious." -A.E.
