Im thinking that since the carrier will come much later, the bundle deal would happen after the Hornet moves out of Pre-Order pricing. So my guess is no. But could be wrong.

I have had an EVGA 1080ti for about 6 months without any issues. I would look at everything else before I blamed the card. Submit your full system specs...and what do your crash logs tell you? Did you share those with ED?

Its really simple... the experience you will have is worth a few hundred buck$. Check your local Best Buy or similar for a Demo. There are other apps to experience besides DCS.

Its a blast. No reason to wait really if you have the system to run it and the cash to spend.

IMHO ED has done ok with sounds. I would never forgo buying the F18 or any other premier ED aircraft based on WIP sounds. This IS a simulation after all. That said, I do expect continuous improvements over time. If not, the lack of perfection would not stop me from buying and enjoying the birds of the best Sim around.

A little different angle and slightly off topic. But still a part of carrier ops. Yes Wish list, but how hard would it be for the Devs to provide the ability to “save” pilots who eject near carrier? Put the pilots who eject in a life raft instead of sinking into death. And of course have the ability to pick them up with a chopper and return them to the carrier. Certainly, chopper pilots getting involved in Multiplayer Carrier Ops could be a thing.

Have had flameouts after inverted and outside loops coming off target understandably (why inverted and outside loops? Because I can and it is fun for a hot dog) and yes most likely exceeding max continuous thrust...and could not air start...but never had it happen in level flight at any altitude...yet! Dang loving the Harrier...what a fun Jet!

Why do some believe the Devs are not working on this or trying to find a solution? From Todays DCS World 2.5 Update “Since last week's newsletter, the team continues to address items discovered during the Open Beta test period. Items such as fog discoloration, night lighting, multiplayer performance, load times, and others are all being addressed for the release version. It is very important that any changes made for the DCS World 2.5 release version maintain or improve game performance of the 2.5 Open Beta.” Personally for now, I do not fly in the larger servers with large heavy missions. I mainly fly MP with a couple of friends with custom missions. I do not see the lag or stutter there except when assets are spawned by a trigger which is momentary. I would not mind joining the heavy servers if this is improved. There are some great servers with awesome missions out there. When this issue is fixed or improved, it will be a great day for us and ED.

There are decent prices in the $800s (USD) for 1080ti cards on the evga website. U have to ask for notification for one. Actually, the same price I paid for mine last summer. My system, which is coming up on 5 Years old (except for the 1080ti), runs DCS with everything maxed out. This has been true with all DCS Versions since I built the system including with my previous card which was the R9 295X2. Man that card sold on ebay the day I listed it. Miners...Lol!

Sounds more Like a groan than a whistle. Would be cool if it could make the sim. But that sound happening in the right circumstances is key. So if they can do the Mustang whine, they should be able to incorporate this one too. I have to ask because I dont know, is this common with the F18 or was there a ground hog stuck in the intake?
