  1. 8GB RAM is the minimum now. 16GB is recommended. I can't say for sure this is the issue but it well could be. Make sure you turn off everything Windows is running that you don't need.

  3. I would not rule out the power supply either. You may want to test with some intensive benchmark software.
  4. I posted this earlier today for somebody else. Take a look. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2985262&postcount=138
  5. Here is a basic loop. Notice the one time trigger to get it started. After that it loops. markloop.miz
  6. Are you only running 4GB of RAM? If so you are 4 below minimum Spec.
  7. Make sure it's really your controller. Use the default ( , . / ; ) keys to test. I say this because some time back, (months) they made the sensor more susceptible to drift caused by movements of the aircraft. Test while still on the ground and test while in the air and you should see the difference I'm talking about. Also, there are some threads that talk about this change.

^ This ...and the capabilities. It would need to do more than what the free mods are already doing.
  9. It takes a few minutes after combat for them to change from alarm state RED back to GREEN. They wont move again until they are alarm state GREEN. If you need them to move right after the fire fight you will need to force them back to alarm state GREEN or perhaps a resume will work. It's hard to tell which methods are working from version to version without setting it up and testing.
  10. IMHO The Ka-50 is easy to control, less torque effects, etc. It also offers the most potent combat capabilities of any of the current helo's, but has complex system if you want to really master it. The UH-1H has the least complex systems, but is limited to machine guns and rockets for combat. The other 2 are excellent modules as well. The Mi-8 is more complex when it comes to systems, and limited in combat, (short range guns and rockets/grenades) it's more of a flying delivery truck and the best heavy lifter we currently have. The Sa-342 does have complex systems but is not as complex as the Mi-8, or Ka-50. It can be more difficult to control in the beginning. Being a light helo it is a bit twitchy when not cruising. They are all fantastic and I enjoy them all. If you just want a platform for learning how to fly a helo, I would go with the UH-1H. If you want a real tank busting battle field monster, go with the Ka-50. If you want a heavy transport, the Mi-8. If you want a modern light scout, the Sa-342.
  11. While our 2 engine experts have ended the conversation in total conflagration, one thing is clear. Both engines were used in the M3 clearing the way for Razbam to just pick the one they want to do! ;)
  12. I hope the possible link with LotAtc can be an optional setting, so that those that don't use it wont lose the current LoS system. I find the current implementation to be quite elegant in it's simplicity.
  13. So, I guess it's too late to sign up? :megalol:
  14. Try this at your own risk... Download the installer to the new rig. Run it, but stop it before the downloads begin. Copy over the files from the old install. Don't forget the User folder.

  16. IMHO the problem is in DCSW's core not any one module. All guns are currently not as effective as they should be.
  17. The output to the debrief.log file in \Saved Games has been only recording the last event for some months now. I have searched and can't find a bug report on it. Is it broken or is there some new setting required somewhere for it to write at mission end? Is it known? We do know the events are still being tracked since the in-game score board works. Some of us rely on this file for stat tracking and would appreciate any help.
  18. Expanding on what Sryan said... There is no reason to install A-10 from the disc you purchased. You can un-install it. You will use the key that came with what you purchased to authenticate your copy of A-10C inside DCSWorld as Sryan described. DCSWorld phones home to know what modules you own, which is why you want to create the account and add your key to it. With DCSWorld you will also gain access to 2 free aircraft Welcome aboard!
  19. Shoot for the wing roots. They don't fly anymore after popping their wings off.
  20. If you think you're having trouble with the K-4, just wait until you run into a ME-262.
  21. I'm not saying this to discount the OP's concern, because I'm not sure myself, but... Also consider altitude of the test vs the video. Demonstration aircraft are often lightened in other ways beyond just the fuel load.
  22. A new ground crew option... Drag me out of the mud.
  23. Really? I have never flown in a real p-51 shuddering from near stall conditions, but I have been in other airplanes, and even in large modern passenger jets, everything in the cabin rattles when it shudders from turbulence.
  24. I necro'd this to add, a metal rattling sound would be a great aural enhancement to go along with the buffet. There are times I can't see any part of my aircraft (looking strait up) and a sound cue for nearing departure would be welcome. The air flow change can be hard to notice over the engine. Really enjoy this old bird. Thanks for the continued support ED team.
  25. I just tested the SMERCH in version 2.x. With an ammo truck, it reloads and fires every 45 minutes. If you need it to happen faster you might want to switch to 1 of the smaller systems.
